Marvel Studios needs to keep the connectivity going. As marvel fans, it’s not our fault that non fans are confused and are not understanding the full backstory of what’s happened.

I honestly prefer the connectivity. It's what made the MCU the powerhouse it is today!

Basically the connectivity is still there but in a way where whichever movie comes out that’s connected to a show, they’ll only recap on the most important connections related to that movie. For example, let’s you didn’t want to watch the Wandavision show but it’s connected to Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness, that movie would show some flashbacks of scenes from the show in Multiverse of Madness itself to understand the connection if you didn’t watch Wandavision.

It's just like the comics. Pick the books you want. Yes, they are interconnected, but you don't have to read every book. The end scenes are like the final pages in the books.

Worried? Seriously? This new system is a massive relief for me. The biggest issue with this franchise is getting overwhelmed by it, so I really don't understand how a system to help prevent that would be seen as a bad thing.

The reason I enjoyed the MCU previously was that if felt like a connected universe. Its not hard to watch all the content. Its like saying you only want to watch series 8 of game of thrones and not the rest

Echo was crazy i Loved it hopefully the changes that are happening at marvel hope they just do it well woof woof

They make the movies in a good way to where it doesn’t seem like you’re missing out if you haven’t seen other episodes, but it’s also more enjoyable when you do see other characters connected from other movies as well

Quality first

I get it, but it’s lame that part of the “reward” for being a die-hard marvel fan was being able to take in all the continuity and connectivity. To discard that to gain new “fans” who may not even end up being loyal sucks.

People will complain regardless, "I want each project to be its own thing tell its own story" and then complain "where are all the MCU connections?!" I guess find a balance but just know people will still complain no matter what.

I'm curious to see the MCU future. They promise all this potential, but are they going to make great stories from it. I just hope it does get too convoluted.

I think this is a good way to go

If you have read the Cosmere books by Brandon Sanderson, you can easily do a connected story across different books/movies without things being necessary to watch. Even in infinity war, you didn't need to watch all 20 movies, only about 10-12 important movies. Heck, you can reduce it to 5-6 and still enjoy it (since a friend of mine said so with that experience). Write and direct in a way that gives enough context to make the audience understand what's going on. It could be treated as "fans can make fan theories about the things not completely explained after the movie" and find out the actual story right after.

Echo before the announcement of its place was planned to be separate. You just need to be clear and critical of knowing the difference.

Well honestly that just seems like a bad idea. The whole reason I got Disney plus was because they were putting out lots of content but if they're going to be cutting down then it's not worth having a subscription when you have to wait a whole year just for 8-10 episodes when their should be making them like the old days when you get 20 or more episodes for a season

As long as they don’t eliminate the interconnectivity, I’m fine. That has always been the draw of the MCU; the idea that each of the characters can cross paths and be a part of one another’s stories. Post-credit scenes are a great way of connecting everything; let people consume what they came to see but let them stay for the “next time on” moment.

Honestly just scaling back will be a big step forward for them just need them to hire the right people for storytelling I know the mcu can make a comeback this is a good start

Dude, it's like you can watch a movie and enjoy it without having to watch the previous installment but if you did watch the previous one you'll get more enjoyment and interconnectivity out of it.

Just gonna write that sentence out, because I need to hear it again. "The rebrands are meant to help Marvel disabuse audiences from the pervasive impression that its content is one unified narrative experience that must be consumed in its totality." Holy crap that was some of the most disgusting corpospeak I've ever heard.

So people complain when something connects yet they complain when something don't connects

Yes they have literally done this from the start. Absolutely nothing is changing. All these banners are doing now it making it extremely obvious to all the people who somehow haven't picked up on this yet

I think Marvel is doing the right thing. Whatever happens I am still a Marvel fan.

Frankly the problem is that people have become a lot more anal about spoilers and watching everything the "right" way and other things that don't really exist. And this isn't gonna change that.

As long as it is handled properly and made great or phenomenally, then they'll be great. Marvel should have movies in one category, have shows in one category & any animation in a separate category. They should have projects that are adult friendly, like TV-14 & R should be under Marvel projects and would have all their adult projects. Then they have the other part be for their pg13 projects. I'm glad that they are doing 3 movies, they should be doing 3 movies a year and 2 shows a year. Favorite Hero: Batman

They actually do that. (Not the adult friendly thingy but the first thing) Marvel movies are just under the normal Marvel Studios, the shows are under Marvel Television, and X-Men '97 and What if...? are under Marvel Annimation.

I think it's a very smart decision.

Me personally, i like the connectivity in the MCU.

This makes sense as a major fan I of course watch everything but I have a series of friends and family that will watch without seeing everything so it can be a good tool if it's done the right way this actually was part of the marvel method In the comics for many years this will help continue to grow the audience

So they snatched the Marvel universe from Netflix and Agents of Shield out of greed and wanting everything in one Universe. Not working now they wanna get rid off the connectivity. 🤦🏾‍♂️.

It's a great idea since people like my wife likes some heroes but not all so there are other projects she didn't care for, she fell off on EP. 3 of Echo and now is eagerly awaiting for Deadpool & Wolverine. I mean if Marvel were not to include recaps or make specific short spotlights to recap for fans, there are always content creators like Comics explained and You that can catch us up win-win all around IMO.

I like the marvel movies being connected cause when I used to watch the old marvel movies I always wonder where was the other heroes or dam it would be cool if daredevil and Spider-Man crossed over or hulk and X-Men , ghost rider and blade

as a hardcore marvel fan, this never really bothered me, but I suppose the casual watchers would enjoy

As long as they bring back Jonathan Majors as Kang they can do whatever they want

Better quality than quantity

I believe that Marvel will have a mix of projects that are required view to understand the overarching story being told and projects that are optional but enhance your viewing experience. For example to understand Avengers 5 & 6 you should have watched Loki S1&2, Dr Strange 2, Deadpool and Wolverine, maybe F4, and nothing else for now, but Echo Daredevil Born Again, and maybe Thunderbolts will not be need to have been watched to under stand Avengers 5 & 6.

they can do a lil recap thing in the beginning of every movie/series that's relevant to that movie/series. Like a recap thing for each episode of a series. 1-5 minutes tops.

Sounds confusing but I have full faith in the MCU. Except that Agatha, Zombies, Freshmen Year and its second season, Wakanda series, Okoye series, Midnight Angels series, and the Valkyrie and Korg series should be canceled and never be bought up or mentioned ever again.

One thing I hope is that there's nothing in the animated shows that you feel like you need to watch in order to understand what's going on in a live action show or movie. I just can't really get into the animated stuff, though I have watched some "What If" episodes. I just don't want to feel as if I need to watch all of the animated shows. I don't mind watching all of the live action stuff.

I wonder if marvel for the rest of time will stick with the marvel studios branding. Cause before it was always “in association with marvel” but now it’s Marvel Studios and so on

Actions speak louder than words and let see this happen and succeed before saying anything planning nonsense for the future.

7:11 For Phase 4 and beyond, I really only think Endgame is the only one truly necessary because after that, it really feels like a fresh start

I think what we could see is more signs of Incursions in movie post-credit scenes because the whole MCU is going to be connected to the Multiverse anyway so it would make for more connectivity.

This doesn't sound like a new system to me. Phases 1-3 felt like movies you could jump in with 1 and explore. The impression that you had to watch movies in chronological order came from hardcore fans that were being nerdy rather than winsome, not the films. Be a nerd with other nerds, otherwise tone it down a little.

I when they’d put the recap like a previously on which you could skip on Disney and not integrate it into the episode like they did in echo.

"Don't have to have watched anything beforehand..." so... they're... going to put better care into the material and set it up like the comic books? I mean, I read a lot of X-Men comics, but I never read Fantastic Four or Avengers and I never felt like I missed anything, even when they might site events which occurred in one of those titles.

Sounds to me like it's basically just controlling the Post-credit scenes, and giving the beginning a quick introduction of the characters.

Just like the Netflix Marvel series. You don't have to watch Luke Cage to watch The Punisher. But they are in the same universe. Woof Woof!

The one's that grew up reading Comics, Don't need an order to watch.... . The comics didn't come out in a specific order, some movies nd shows I didn't Like. So I didn't miss Anything but I understand everything that is happening...💯🌍

Sounds like a great idea to me. The Guardians Of The Galaxy had nothing to do with Dr. Strange or Thor, but they were in the post credit scene. They can tie into the other movies without having to directly tie in.

If they said they were changing the intro song people would say theyre "worried". People want drama and to complain.

Dude this is great like there has been a meme around of in like 50 years when I want to watch the new captain Canada movie but can’t because a have to watch the other 200 movies and 1000 shows now that really don’t matter anymore. Also in like 50 years how long will the recaps be like half the movie.

My understanding of interconnectivity was not "you have to watch 'A' to understand the events of 'C'.."...It was about the progression of a character from one project into another; & whether that progression is consistent with that character's motivations and sense of purpose. If we are honest, the overarching story of what became known as 'the Infinity Saga' only developed from phase 2 once the Avenger Team had clicked. It was only thereafter that audiences became conscious of "having to watch 'A' to understand events in 'C'". But what made this meaningful was good story-telling and the consistent character progression.

Nice. I love this idea. I remember getting ready for End Games before it came out, I watched all of the MCU movies. I repeat, I love this idea.

If done right, this will be the best decision they’ve made. The amount of people I know that stoped watching marvel because they felt they had to do "homework" to watch a movie or series speaks for itself

The copy and paste retelling of past events felt weird for me in echo. I get it...but i wasnt a fan of it. I liked echo but that pasting ontop of an episode felt weird.

I hope that X-men 97 is not in that "2 shows per year" change. Hopefully Marvel Animation is it's own entity. But I totally agree, all the stories should inter connect. It just makes it more immersive.

Crazy that we haven't heard alsmost NOTHING about disney making " changes" to star wars .....
