WHY LIVERPOOL WERE ROBBED AGAINST MAN CITY! | Monday Vibes

Спорт

On today's episode of Monday Vibes, Dougie and Michael dissect one of the biggest and most controversial weekends of Premier League football this season, with Liverpool drawing 1-1 with Man City in Jürgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola's last ever Prem meeting, and Kai Havertz scoring late on to secure Arsenal a vital 2-1 win over Brentford at the Emirates!
But should Liverpool have had a late penalty for Doku's kick on Mac Allister? Should Havertz have been sent off before he got his winner? And what is holding Klopp's side back in attack?
We also take a look at the top four race, with Spurs smashing Aston Villa 4-0 following a horror tackle from John McGinn that will keep him out of Villa's next three games - has the tide now turned in favour of Ange Postecoglou's side?

I've heard about 3 different explanations that argued why it was not a penalty. From Doku getting the ball first, it wasnt intented contact, or it wasnt enough contact to be a foul, and the ridicilous thing is all those explanations are complete bollocks.

Can’t talk about the Arsenal game without mentioning the two clear penalty shouts Arsenal had. Yes Havertz should have probably been sent off, but both Trossard and Gabriel fouls were worthy of a penalty and VAR was too scared to act because the on-field ref wasn’t paying attention

Should have never been on a yellow in the first place and if they start booking players for that kind of dive, then we'll have a lot of red cards. Maybe the ref could have booked all the Brentford players who dived to the ground with "cramp" every time the ball went out of play.

Liverpool kept signing forwards because they’re doing the rebuild by section! First it was the forward line, now totally rebuilt Then it was the midfield line last and this summer, missing the 6 still probably but making good progress. Next was the defense, don’t know if Klopp leaving changes that though but they were going section by section!

If only the Liverpool players had completely swarmed the ref and gotten in his face for that penalty shout in the same way that City players do, it would've been given. Absolutely crazy saying the whole "It's Emery's second season". Firstly, he hasn't been at Villa for two full seasons (if we're nit picking) and secondly, despite a more hectic schedule, we're actually doing better all round this season than we did last season. Even if we drop off and end up 5th or even 6th, I'll be happy with this year, especially given our injuries (which most pundits don't like to mention), including THREE acls throughout the year.

I'm a Liverpool fan, don't want to complain about the decision in our game, think everyone knows what happened there. As for the Arsenal game, yes, it's 100% a dive from Havertz and he "should be sent off" but the reality is that he shouldn't have got the first booking that he did and Arsenal should've had a penalty for a foul on Trossard and arguably another one for a foul on Gabriel. Feel like FD really doesn't like to praise Arsenal, on Sunday Vibes there was a lot of dismissing them as serious challengers and now the first talking point of their win that puts them top of the table is about a "controversy" that shouldn't even be a controversy in the first place, it's a bit weird. Also, know I said I didn't want to complain about our decision but Michael Oliver needs to be investigated. Always the official for every big game at the Etihad and flys out to Saudi to ref games on the payroll of the same company that owns Man City (yes, the Abu Dhabi Investment Group do in fact pay a percentage of the foreign refs wages in Saudi Arabia, funny how that only started happening when the English refs started doing games there though), but you can't mention stuff like that without being called a conspiracy theorist. 115 reasons why Man City shouldn't be trusted.

After saying that you weren’t going to complain about the ‘penalty’ you did a pretty decent job of …er …complaining. Oliver visits Saudi so…ergo…he is corrupt? Where is your evidence? It is a serious allegation after all. Subject to possible litigation without evidence to substantiate it. Does that ever occur to you or do you think you are anonymous on here? I’m sure you will have been as critical of Paul Tierney last week with what was a CLEAR breach of the rules in handing back the ball to Liverpool in the last minute.

  • @TJW-YT

    @TJW-YT

    2 ай бұрын

@@robertbrown6060 I said it was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen last weekend, yes. I am able to remove my bias and say that getting one of the most basic rules of the game (who to give the drop ball to) wrong is pathetic and that the ref should've been struck off. There are plenty of refs in England that are way below par that shouldn't be working in football at the highest level, Tierney is one of them. (If you go to the "The drop-ball call for Liverpool that caused Nottingham Forest outrage" video on Sky Sports Premier League and search my name you'll see that I commented about how it's a terrible decision 9 days ago, so this isn't just me saying it now) Michael Oliver has been in charge of all of Man Cities home games against the traditional top 6 since the first time he reffed a game in Saudi, that's not an accusation, that's simply a fact. Michael Oliver has never given a penalty against Man City... Since he began reffing games in Saudi, again, not an accusation, just a fact. Nothing I said is an accusation, simply pointing out that since Michael Oliver has begun refereeing games in the middle east he has been in charge of every single one of Man Cities games against the traditional top 6 at home and has not given a single penalty against Man City in that time. You suggested corruption, maybe because that information sounds corrupt to you, but I simply stated two facts.

In all these games Liverpool had unfair decisions where a player was unfairly sent off or an opposition player should have been sent off or we should have gotten a penalty or we had legit goals disallowed or ref gave a drop ball to our opposition . There's probably even more I've forgotten. This is why football is dead. What rivals say to banter Liverpool is meaningless.

I look at it from the point of view that Mac jumped into the path of Doku's foot, and then fell to the ground like he'd been mortally wounded. I don't think it was a penalty at all. Doku pulls out, you can see him get spun. I'm a Gooner, I'm definitely not a City fan, but I honestly do not see that as a penalty.

I actually think Liverpool are doing quite well to even be in the title race, City and Arsenal are both up there as one of the best teams in the world over the last year and I don’t think Liverpool really are to be honest, huge holes in the starting squad, tonnes of injuries, failed to beat city or arsenal this season and last season, struggling massively in big games

C'mon mate it's not exactly one time, as a neutral I'm still go smacked at the wrong offside call at Spurs that they had. For this one though how the referee can see a player with a foot THAT high (studs in his chest!) and not consider it reckless is quite surprising. I think they didn't want to make a big decision at the end of a very important and amazing game

I'm sorry lads but that Doku one should not have been turned over by VAR... The fact you were debating the different arguments for that long shows that it wasn't a "clear and obvious" pen
