Our hope with these videos is to push your thinking. As Alan Watts said “No one is more dangerously insane than one who is sane all the time: he is like a steel bridge without flexibility, and the order of his life is rigid and brittle.” - Alan Watts.

Before my health fell apart, I was always anxious about both the big and small decisions that I had to make in life on a daily basis. Having now spent almost 3 years of my life lying in bed each day, I can see, all that time I spent worrying, could have been time spent being grateful for all that I had in my life, for each and every pain free breath of air, for every sunny day and every wonderful person that I took for granted. What I would give for just one more day of good health. Please don’t take your health for granted as I did. Your mental and physical health is everything, your mind and body are your vessel to travel this Sea of life 🙏

I’m there now. I need to rise above my own prison before my body fails to cooperate with my mind. I’m drowning in my own mind. These talks are helping me o find air and push my own body to go outside and feel the sun on my face. *update* I hit 60 days sober on the 19th of July 2023. Life is getting so much better every day. One foot in front of the other every day.

I hear you my friend. My illness and physical limitations are progressive and leave me in my bed and head more and more. I can only say that on my brave days when I can reflect through the suffering it has become a bridge to a better human being. Struggling for each breath gives me little time for my old resentments, petty dramas and superficial wants. I'm glad I still; have good days when I can get up and walk out into the sun and wish that for you as well. I will remember your words and try to be grateful and thankful for each and every day that I can interact and experience love and life. Peace my friend.

''We think of letting go as something you need to do to relax: a return to a state of flow and calm. Yet, letting go is actually vital to life. Philosopher and writer Alan Watts says so much of life happens all the time in the space of letting go. When we let go, we sleep, we relax, and we allow life to happen. In fact, we enter into the flow of the entire universe.''

I once heard someone get asked "who are you" and that person struggled by listing all their interests and certain traits they had, but then I started to ask myself that very same question and boy did I struggle internally. I did all this 5 years ago before I found Alan Watts. I remember when I first stumbled onto Mr. Watts, and I could not understand him whatsoever until a couple of years ago. Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for us, so that we may have everlasting life. Now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and you will you be saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. He/this makes SO much sense. It is pure gold, and invaluable insight/perspective. It’s incredibly puzzling to me how and why he passed away so young… so prematurely, especially given just how much wisdom and insight he possessed The stories of his drinking and falling health confuse me because quite clearly he understood the concept, impact and power/consequence of man’s God given ability of ‘choice’. IOW, he had to have understood both the short AND long term ramifications of one’s personal choices, and yet he still chose a lifestyle that cut his life short…. Unduly short. Perhaps it was by design, and he genuinely knew or believed that he was headed somewhere ‘better’ so that ultimately, it didn’t make any difference. Or maybe it simply speaks to the insidious nature of alcoholism/addiction, and how hard it is to control. It IS a disease by the way, and the only one that tells you you don’t have it.🙃 One thing is for sure, this man opened the eyes of so many people to a new way of living/being, and a better way of interpreting life in all its beauty, wonder, splendor, intrigue, and joy….and similarly, in of all of its pain, suffering , sadness and tragedy. He is STILL positively impacting the lives of countless people, and this little ditty is proof of same. Thank you so much for creating and sharing such valuable, worthwhile content. This video is extremely well done - truly top shelf material, and I am very grateful for the time and effort you invested in creating and sharing it. Well done and many thanks! Andrew

I heard someone say that worrying is like paying interest on money that you haven’t borrowed yet❤

When I was young I worried about so much. So much. Everything! And I worked all day long, 12-17 hours a day. And even when I wasn't working, I was working. Working and worrying. Working, worrying, stressing out. Yes, it's true, I made tens of millions of dollars a year. I paid more taxes in a quarter than most pay in their lifetime. Yes, this lead to a fancy home in the suburbs, a yacht down in the marina, and even a small Cessna that I flew from beautiful San Diego to LA every other weekend. But all that stress... it was a lot to handle. It was killing me every day, slowly. My health really suffered. Then one rainy and cold December morning I decided, just be. Don't stress so much. Just be! Things will come to me. I just have to trust and believe! Just be damn it! And now, four years later... wait, a manager here at this McDonald's is telling me I can't use their free WiFi anymore unless I buy something. I'll have to finish this speech when I walk to another fast food restaurant that offers free WiFi. Being homeless really sucks.

So are you saying you changed everything in your life, but the change was no better?

You made tens of millions of dollars a year and now you're homeless mooching off free wifi? Sounds like there was a middle ground you missed the landing on. Sorry for your luck, mate. Hope you find a nice place to lay your head a night.

It’s weird this guys keeps saying things on Facebook that I have been constantly thinking about and now this. Ever since I stopped resisting, my life has been great other than my social life is much smaller but healthy. I’m eating better and saving more money. Best thing of all, 0 effort. And then I watched an episode of Rick and morty called analyze piss and it really hit home for me.

This is what the AI researchers are missing. The ability to ascribe meaning to life, to be subjective and to have a feeling of self does not mean reducing wrong ideas and introducing awareness of even more aspects of life. The subjective self that can ascribe meaning to life emerges from the ability to filter out, letting go and to nurture the smallest experiences of life.
