Larian didn't cancel any BG3 dlc. They only confirmed that they were NOT going to create any, despite fan expectations. Baldurs Gate 3 was released as a complete game right from the start. Larian has supported their game with patches, updates and bug fixes. They are a responsible developer. Sven and company just intend to bring their talents to a new challenge and property.

No, they did confirm it was already being worked on, but the devs were frustrated by the limitations of having to build around 5e D&D and then there's the fact that all the WotC staff they worked with were fired... so their hearts weren't in it anymore.

This doesn’t make any sense. Another studio can’t just “pick up”where they left off. Baulders gate was the culmination of 3 games and 20 years of iteration. The competition needs to reverse engineer all of it. Its a big ask

No they are not. DOS3 is not happening. If you know Divinity’s timeline well then you can tell Larian knows better to tie current loose ends than fiddle with the already-a-mess history.

I'll honestly be satisfied, DLC/expansions or no, if Larian release the multi-platform mod support they announced. Would basically make the game immortal.

They might have if WotC didn't fire all the staff that worked with Larian on BG3 and weren't being excessively restrictive about adherence to 5e, especially amidst the changes being made. WotC ruin everything.

You are leaving out that they WERE working on dlc and discussing BG4 and WotC hamstrung the whole thing by firing all the WotC staff who were helping Larian adapt 5e and helping them with lore but still were requiring Larian to adhere to 5e, which was why the devs got burnt out and frustrated. They had new ideas and no cooperation from WotC, when you read between the lines of that interview. Never forget what Hasbro/WotC took from us!!! Don't buy any official merch now that the license is back in H/WotC's hands!!! They don't deserve to be rewarded!

They did not. They literally said last week they were canceling DLC plans and we're only getting 1 more update that adds more evil endings. DLC was confirmed in the plan.
