Liberal lubrication is a must for me when I tie a Palomar knot. That and quickly pulling the knot tight prevents that small piece of line from getting stuck under the eye.

I’m glad it helped! If you look up some videos of how to do a snell knot too that’s also my favorite for monofilament and fluorocarbon.

I’m working on it. I’m horrible at editing videos and taking footage, especially when I’m fishing so I think I’ll need help for that one

You should show us your snell. I typically run a reverse snelled knot when I get started, but it's not a simple one to tie when standing on my favorite rock mid river....BTW thank you so much for the videos! It has helped immensely!

You can double almost any knot not just a Palomar , uni knot is my go to first choice because it Can't slip ever

Those guys run silvers and j plugs mostly, just dont forget to swap out the hooks

Definitely when I’m tying for myself. I’ve gotten used to not doing it in the store because I tie customers hooks on for them a lot so I don’t want to get my spit on their gear haha
