As a life long NC State fan…I’m on top of the world right now. I was only 7 when we won the tourney in 1983 & honestly didn’t think I’d see this type of run again. So happy for this team. GO PACK!!!!

NCSU Alum here, It is going to be a bit physical down low I will say and something to see. GL to you!

I was telling all of my friends that if NC State made the second weekend, the country was going to fall in love with DJ Burns. I'm glad that I wasn't wrong. Go Pack! PS: Michael O'Connell made that shot against UVA in the ACC Tourney.

Yes as Stephen A Smith would say they have some dawgs on NCST and Mike O'Connell is one of them. Also you guys have length and shooters as well. Please let the planets line up and you guys give us an epic game. This is going to be mouth watering, hopefully an instant classic. The 2 bigs on either side need to stay out of foul trouble. We want to see them both battle it out.

Great show and well said!!! It’s hard not to smile when you watch Burns play. His smile is contagious. Dude is straight up having the time of his life. I love seeing this. This is what pro athletes are missing. I hope he does great at the next level and never loses that love for the game.

Historical. Both of the UConn & NC State baskétball teams are in the NCAA Championship Final Four.

9 game win streak, and all 9 of those were elimination games

NCSU Alum here and I want to point out an effort so many are missing I think. Both DJ's are incredible but Casey Morsell and the job he did on Jack Gohlke was just phenomenal. Holding that guy to 6 of 17 from the 3-point line...wow. He was 100% relentless in fighting thru screens and denying him the ball in the places he wanted it. I live just outside Ral and would love to talk him fishing so he can just relax!!! lol Why Not Us? And then our Lady Pack!!!! LETS GO!!!!!! It gets no better in my world that right now.

Thanks for that insight. I will go back and watch that game. Gohlke is from the same high school that JJ and TJ Watt went to. Pewaukee High School in Pewaukee Wisconsin. I am from Wisconsin and they are one of the premiere schools in the state when it comes to any sport. Just solid. Really high academic standards as well. Their cross country and track and field has always been strong as well.

OMG. I just want back and watched the hightlights he sure did. What are their chances against Purdue? Think they can pull it off? Should they double Edey and force them to make the points? Will DJ be able to stay out of foul trouble given that Edey does not seem to get called for fouls, so far? Thoughts.. @@alisaperry3846

It’s not just DJ Burns, nc state literally has a pack of 7. Horne, Middleton, O’Connell, Morsell, Taylor, and RAMADAN MO, are all making great plays, and have all been key factors in our run to the finial four!!!

Respect. I like this guy talking about Burns. I’ve been a state fan my whole life. You’re good at talking about it.

Them being an 11 seed isn’t why they’re a Cinderella. 5 games in 5 nights to win the ACC after losing 7/9 of their last games in the season and was their only ticket into the tournament. They go on to beat Louisville, Syracuse, Duke, Virginia and UNC to win the ACC. Then go on as an 11 seed beating Texas Tech, a fiery hit Oakland who just beat Kentucky, Marquette, then Duke once again to head to the Final Four. They have been underdogs for 9 games and people are still doubting. They already counted NC State out for the title with phrases like “Purdue is going to curb stomp NC State” and “UConn easiest repeat title ever”. Never count out the Pack, because why not us?!

that’s right they don’t call them the cardiac pack for nothing I still can’t figure out why they are doubting them they are a real power house team that are extremely hungry for the championship title like never before and they dominate with their defense against other power house teams

If you don’t think this particular NC State team, regardless of being in the ACC (which we finished 10th out of 15 teams), is a Cinderella team then with all due respect, you’re crazy. No team in the history of the final four has come in with 14 losses on their resume. Plus, don’t forget, the whole origin of there being a Cinderella story in college basketball started with NC State in 1983…which similarly, had to win it’s conference tournament to get into the big dance, and to continue to advance had to beat an ACC foe in UVA with legendary big man Ralph Sampson along the way before shocking the world when they upset the powerhouse that was Houston. Come on my man!

@@omgweather2794 I just always think of "Cinderellas" as no names. Schools that you've barely heard of, and most people couldn't point to on a map. Schools that've never been to a final four, much less Won a championship. Cinderella herself was unknown at court, and no one expected her to be there. NCSt has that latter point going for them, but not the former. I'm not saying it isn't a great run; I've watched their last 5 games and been rootin' for 'em. It's been fun to watch.

If we look at the tournament since it expanded to 64, #11 seeds have made the Final Four less than 4% of the time. That’s unexpected. We’re from a well known conference, and have two championships (the most recent one from before literally half the nation was alive), but had a losing record against ACC teams (the last time we won even the ACC was 37 years ago…). We were the 10th seeded team, and beat #1, 2, and 3 seeds back to back to back. Then beat the #2 and #4 seeds to make it to the NCAA Final Four. That’s so improbable.
