He's young, very athletic and doesn't appear to be accident prone. He shows that he's very confident in himself. I also feel he has stuck to the Warriors plan in play. He will be great and greater if he continues to learn and keep his mindset on what he is learning. He is what the Warriors need to keep the glue that's missing while Raymond is getting ready to come back during the playoffs.

He comes from humble beginnings so have no doubt that he’ll work hard. Ultimately, he’ll be a force at 6’8” and 245-250lbs of pure athleticism coupled with a high skill level and a strong work ethic. With his rising skill level on a team of veterans plus a developing James Wiseman and this team is built to compete for titles over the next 2-4yrs, barring severe injuries.

I think a big question is WILL HE START next year? You already have Steph, Klay, Draymond and Wiggins plus the center. Who sits? Nice problem to have. Imagine a second unit of JK, JP, JW, OPJ and GP2. That's better than a few teams' starting lineup.

He is a developing Great defender who is also developing an equally lethal offense and is focused on winning games. He also doesn't appear to be prone to injury. And so far has been consistently excellent since his return from a foot sprain. He also appears to listen to Steve Kerr, Iggy, the senior players and the coaches. I hope he develops into and remains a Great Warrior following in the footsteps of the trinity (Steph, Klay, Dray), always hungry for figuring ways to win even when he gets his bag.

I continue to be staggered by the implicit biases scouts use to judge players. The critiques on JK coming into the draft were his motor, his shot, and his need to sharpen raw skills. The shooting & honing in of skills makes sense, but they had no idea how impressive his ability to quickly adapt & learn from his mistakes was, WHICH unsurprisingly speaks directly to his impressive motor and a drive to be great & fulfill his own potential . I think it's easy for ppl to mistake a low-key personality types for a lack of drive, but if years of watching Klay & Steph, especially when contrasted with Russ, has taught us anything it's that growling, scowling & playing at 100 mph isn't the only metric to evaluate heart and motor. Focus shows up in various ways & JK always comes in focused & ready to impact the game. Ted Talk over.

Kuminga is exciting to watch. I believe, to get to the next level, he has to be a bit more versatile offensively. He should understand defenses will work to take away his staple right to left spin to the basketball. He should better discern when to take the spin and learn counter moves such as a fake spin left to floater right or, alternatively, a mid range jumper. That way, he can be less predictable inside and keep defenses honest.

If Kuminga adds about 15 pounds of muscles and maybe even on the off-chance he still might get a couple inches taller (he’s still 19, and people can keep growing until around 22 in some cases), the Dubs could have the next Giannis. Imagine Kuminga from the 3 point line, doing a jab step, taking one dribble, then euro-stepping just outside the paint and next he’s already at the rim. We’ve practically already seen him do this kind of stuff as a rookie. He already has the quickness and explosive-leaping ability. It’s just a matter of getting stronger and refining his handle. But he definitely has that kind of ceiling IMO. Point-Center JK, with the Dubs-level of shooting? Sign me up for that 👏

The Dubs was the PERFECT place for Kuminga to land. As a lifelong Dubs fan, before the draft, I was PRAYING the Dubs would NOT trade away any picks. I knew, as a powerhouse team in the present, the chance to have two lottery picks (let alone 3 when you add in Wiseman the year before), is unheard of. I was HUGE on Kuminga pre-draft and did not think he would be available at 7. When we got him, I was PUMPED. I was telling everyone who would listen (including multiple Bay Area sports radio stations via call-in), that I wanted the Dubs to draft Kuminga in the leadup to the draft. Everyone talks about how he's too raw, and his outside shot is bad. I saw the opposite. I believed his explosiveness and playmaking could allow him to have an immediate and important impact even on a loaded Dubs team. I also didn't buy in to the hate on his outside game. Yes, it isn't GREAT, but his shot is beautiful, aesthetically. Working with the Splash Brothers would only improve that. Then, you have to consider, he is actually younger than almost everyone else in the draft class. He reclassified in high school in order to be eligible for this draft class. His natural draft class would have been the upcoming 2022 draft class. Thus, last year when he was playing against GROWN MEN in the G League, it actually should have been his senior year of HIGH SCHOOL. Let that sink in.

Sometimes i dont want to build up the guy as he may end up bust and we get disappointed or due to pressure he may not be able to deliver. Will treat him as rookie that needs time to improve as he does not have good perimeter and 3's percentage

we just saw moody perform denver vs gsw the young core are littler by little exposing their superstar ability.. jw should be proven hes new progress after long layoff. if he can perform beyond expectation hes latest improvement will be formidable.. what is really missing are dray, iggy, gp3 amd thats it dubs will become champ again and dynasty is eminent in the near future if healthy.. see youu come finals

Mark my words, he’s going to be a big piece in the playoffs. Aside from our core (DG, SC, KT), he’s gonna be a major piece coming off that bench or Kerr putting him into the starting rotation.

Kuminga is really explosive and atheltic, potential to become a real star, but his movements still lack a bit of agility and he wouldn't be able to drive the ball himself as well as say Derrick Rose in 2011. Great potential to improve though.
