Yeah, Matt was his anchor when Jeff had drug problems. Completely understandable for Jeff to want a package deal, to revisit whenever Matt retires from AEW

Can't see another team as great as those two. Dudley's are close, but their best matches were with the Hardys. The dream team had incredible matches with everyone

Jeff should be in there on his own too, hardy boys were one of the greatest… but Jeff hardy is probably one of the best wrestlers to have been in wwe… if it wasn’t for drugs and his demons he woulda probably never left but he has a bond with the fans that like 2/3 other wrestlers have in wrestling right now

There are other HOFs that are in there multiple times because they were part of a tag team too. I think Jeff wanted to get inducted with Matt first because they started out as The Hardy Boyz and then they split off and did their own things. Both of them deserve to be in the HOF.

I always will love Matt Hardy, especially 07-08. Really fun to watch as a kid

THE best tagteam ever! Team Xtreme! Jeff Hardy was my idol at 6 years old, I'm 31 now and he is still a legend in my mind!

Matt honestly saved Jeff on multiple occasions, and even when WWE saw more in Jeff, Matt didn’t get jealous he helped his brother get bigger, especially in there awesome rivalry’s that took place

@@samgirard8660They drug tested him, fired him, then the results came back clean. He hadn’t don’t any drugs that day and at least the last couple days prior. There was no way he was high the night in question.

They wanted to induct him after he walked out of a live event, they made him take a drug test which came out negative in turn WWE offered him to come back after releasing him after that incident. That's why he turned it down giving the reason said in the video to make both sides look good.

AEW was hardly a pro wrestling company in early to mid 2019 (when BG was inducted) it was more of an idea, plus he was a coach.

Jeff needs to be inducted as part of the Hardy Boyz and inducted as a singles wrestler as well.

It was that and they fired him when everyone assumed he was on illegal substances when he was clean.

Hardy brothers! Gosh it was awesome to watch 🙂

For both of all their mistakes, Matt deserves so much credit for being there for Jeff and never giving up on him even when it looked impossible to save him. Now thats family.

The Greatest tag team of all time

In WWE, Jeff accomplished more as a singles wrestlers. As a fan, I’d love to see the hardy boyz inducted together, but for WWE it would make sense to split them up and highlight their singles careers. Also, it gives them two separate inductees to market and sell tickets for.

The hardy boys grew up like 10-15 minutes from my house and I was a 90’s kid so I grew up watching them flying around in the wwf, lol I swear everyone around here was “good friends” with them or their relatives or “related” to them somehow, it’s funny cus you never know who was bullshitting or telling the truth cus they grew up and I think still live like 5-10 minutes down the road and we all rode four wheelers and dirt bikes in the woods and the sand pits, lol and anytime you hit a pool up around here someone (myself included lol) is always hitting a swanton bomb front flip. They’re definitely some small town North Carolina crazy ass country legends

I've heard there's plans to bring both back to WWE and they'll be induced into the hall of fame together. It's just a rumor I'm sure of.

Those days it feels we intruduct wrestler to the hall of fame too earmy in their career/life. I mean sure they already have a huge career, but well, we could wait a bit more and induct them closer to retirement year

He is one of wrestling's greatest daredevils. Despite all of his personal troubles, he is still a genuinely good person. His distinct look and personality have made him stand out from others and helped him build a connection with a lot of fans. He helped elevate tag team wrestling. His singles career was also more successful than many thought it would be. Those are some of the reasons.
