Thanks for sharing. I do have a question, regarding the tape. Dose this tape stick to all surfaces? I have a length of wall that's sits on a block wall with just a slight edge of wood showing. Its on a north wall and I am wondering if I can apply this tape to the wood and run it onto the blocks. the reason for this is the siding guys put the started strip to high? of course that means a whole lot more money to have them fix it now. So I am looking for a inexpensive, easy way to protect this wood. its only like a 1/2 inch or less showing and its above grade by 18 inches. But I just would feel better if it had some more protect. Appreciate your thought on this. Thank you.

Going from -40 to 85C is extreme, I understand it's meant to show the rigidity of the tape, but that kind of heat exists nowhere, and not many places in the world get that cold. Also, I'm guessing the change in temperature occurred in minutes, which is also not real life. I would like to see some more realistic tests such as 0 to 45C and temperature changes occurring over the course of many hours at a time because I bet those other tapes would've been just fine. Overall, I'm sure any Butyl Tape will work just fine for majority of applications, however; your prices aren't awfully high either so for something you know is superior, may as well buy it.

our thoughts exactly. The extensive range in temp is just to show you the resilience of the product. When your spending a decent amount of income on a project you would want the best, perhaps not something that works 'just fine'. Our tape is superior in many ways in comparison to Butyl Tape.

What planet r u from........butl tapes are uv stabilized ans come with a 25 year warranty in addition to costing 2x as much as non butyl........what r u proposing as the non butyl? You don't present that information do you? I only could find poly joist tape which only has a 1 yr warranty.....so you tell me which you would prefer! Do your homework!!
