Hello Leonardo. Student here. I started with major, as you suggested, but I couldn't hold myself to switch to minor prematurely in your course because most music pieces I like are minor. I started transcribing and singing the music that I love, sometimes unintentionally during driving or showering. Thanks for creating the course!

Hi Daniel, sounds awesome! thank you. Yes, it's ok to switch to minor earlier than you're supposed to. Since minor and major are relative you kinda learn a bit of minor when working on the major. The major has a clearer resolution feeling on the tonic. So we start on the major for beginners who still have to understand the tonic's sensation very well. But if you are already ok with that (sounds like you were) there isn't going to be a big difference, you can go on the minor right away since you start out with our course. Hope that makes sense!

Great advice and encouragement to start using your singing voice, and how to go about doing it if you're very self conscious about how it sounds to others.

@@user-hf7xg5hb1g Hearing the tonic quickly, or being able to quickly establish a key in your mind is just one little step of the process of recognizing notes/chords, etc. in real time. It's a complex set of skills that allows this ability to develop. That's why we have created an entirely new ear training method to teach people to develop these skills from scratch.

@@UseYourEar for me its really matter can I do the same withour singing, cause without singing it is much better, singing takes time and it is slower(transcribing) than it is only by inner ear. I can sing melody and even transcribe but only with singing, without singing it is really hard for me,that's why I am asking. Tonic recognition without singing really matters. That's why I am asking about how you do this. And for its really interesting to see how you use it in real time music and your students too. Thank you for you attention. Greetings from Ukraine.

@@user-hf7xg5hb1g Of course you can do everything also without singing, but it's more difficult and it takes more time to get to that level. Singing is definitely a necessary step though! If you can't do it with "signing" you surely can't do it without "singing".
