Hey Brittany!! Your hair turned out beautiful actually!! 💜💜 I am a type 4 natural who only does wash and go styling! I wanted to share some tips from my experience: -Your curl definition will naturally increase the more you do your wash and go. Wash and style your hair every single week for ultimate results. -Avoid blow drying or straightening your hair for a little while or just until you achieve the results you’re looking for in your wng. -Diffuse or use a hooded dryer to set your wng after styling. This will give you less shrinkage and add more longevity to the wng style. -Layer your products. My favorite combo is ufd curly magic (as your base gel) and ecoslay jello shot (as your topper gel). I get 7-8 days with this combo. I could get more days honestly, but I try to wash my hair weekly. -Ditch the brush. It causes more friz for us. Just use your fingers to rake and smooth -I have no doubt you will achieve the results you desire! You tube can help! My favorite wash and go girlies on KZread are: What the kink Jenn Jackson Caramel coils Nj Eberhart Rosie Amelia Brittany Mia Naturally Reign Good luck! I can’t wait to watch your journey this year! ❤❤

Girl being a low porosity 4 c girly is hard because you don't know where to start and our representation on social media is scarce when trying to find products so honestly I always went to the basics of what worked for my hair. But I thank you for this video because it shows how hard is to find other black women who experience it on the day to day basis🥰❤️.

You should use a hooded dryer to dry your hair right away! Mousse only works great (It’s what I do). I use the doux. Mousse is really good at defining, drys quick, and the hooded dryer kind of freezes your hair in place (from when it was wet) allowing you to get more length! You can even separate the clumped curls if you want.

Your hair is looking amazing! Especially the waves in the front! I love doing wash&gos and have tiny coily corkscrews or 4c like many like to call it! You don’t need a tool because our hair doesn’t coil up with tools like loose silkier hair types. This gel has not enough hold but I’m pretty sure if you layered a tiny bit of foam, mousse, other gel or wetline/ecostyler it will give you what you’re looking for. ❤

My hair is like yours. I found out by accident that doing a twist out using a heavy gel like wetline made my hair look like a super defined wash and go. Then I saw a girl on KZread talking about how she cracked the code for type4 wash&go. Turns out, she had accidentally found the same phenomenon. If I try the traditional sectioning, shingling, clumping tools, etc etc, nothing works. It's all frizzy like what you're showing us. But if I fully detangle, use a heavy gel, and do twisted plats, my hair will clump beautifully! Keep us posted🤎🤎🤎✨️

Ms. Brittany I’ve only worn a wash-n-go once with my curly, shrink, shrunk and tight hair. It is not cute at all. Another thing, I do not like to use hair gel all over my hair. I’m here to see how this comes out. I’ve noticed that it helps to stretch the hair after it dries. YEAP! Your hair is mimicking mine.

Your hair came out really good actually💜 I like these creators for W-n-G styling and you may get some useful tips from them: • Kandid kinks • Naturally reign • What the kink • Caramel coils • Rosie amelia (she doesn't really do wng of late but she has a lot of videos on them) • Shelly V (she also used to do a lot of wng, shes trying new things this year though) • Brittany Mia (she does a lot of wng styling and seems like she has a texture the most similar to yours) Also, this is just my opinion...you may want to incorporate protien your next wash day since you did a lot of heat styling. Lastly, you may also want to look into Anthony Dickie. I like his principle on caring for afro hair, since hes been a stylist for a long time. All the best🫶🏾

Hi!! I'd definitely look into the LCO(leave-in creme oil) and LOC(leave-in oil creme) method. I have type 4 hair too and this helps with moisture and depnding on the product, defintion as well. I use the pantene gold series leave on detangling milk, jamaican black castor oil, and the Maui Curl Quench + Coconut oil curl smoothie(so the LOC mothod). My styler brush is my tangle teaser and i detangle with the unbrush. I use gel sometimes on my roots/curls(aunt jackies flax seed gel). I usually do my wash N go at night and sleep in my bonnet with my hair pulled into a loose pineapple. This stretches my hair as it dries before i wake up for my classes. I'm still new to the type 4 natural hair wash N go but this is what has been working with my so far. LMK if this help! p.s. youtuber simply shell helps me with my journey in terms of which products to use next . DON'T GIVE UP GIRLY!!

Smart move. I think this will be a new chapter for your content and new beginning to start with what your producing. I don't know about other people but I'm mainly on peoples natural hair channel and watch their videos for product reviews mainly deep conditioners, regular conditioners, leave in conditioners & styling creams OH & Hair growth oils reviews & I'm here giving the views & my time for wash & gos BECAUSE I love watching girls style their hair, moisturize their curls & watching them start dry before & after look juicy bouncy and silky soft. I'm also on other channels for hair growth video advice, length checks, hair growth challenges.. my favorite and I notice are alotttt of peoples favorites (on the other girls channels that are big on youtube that do natural hair content I noticed they do a lot of deep conditioning content with different products some are sponsored (so it's iffy if we can trust what those ones say) but some aren't sponsored & I don't personally care if it is or not. I LOVE watching wash days & iknow you need to promote your product as do other youtubers but I think you can also do other product reviews whilst also mentioning your hair care line in your videos/showing your product. I'm looking for someone with natural hair content to show me how to keep my hair moisturized, how to keep it long, night time moisturizing routines, curl refreshing, etc. I think leaving your hair out would give you a chance to go somewhere else with your content & grab more interest from more people. Nothing against protective styles but I know not everyone protective styles knows how or has the money to do that. I personally have never had a protective style (YET).BUT thats because i dont know how to braid hair. And neither does my mom. My mom is Caucasian & my dad is black. But i only grew up on the white side of my family. So my mother slapped a relaxer in my hair at the age of 7 to help the kids to stop picking on me (i was picked on & made fun of for my hair & skin) the all white school i went too so I was relaxed from 7 until 24 years old and hated my hair and skin becahse of what other people said and though. Now today I can say im 2.6 years natural I now know I have a curl pattern 3c/4a waist length hair & I couldn't be more proud of my hair. I've had multiple set backs & a couple sloppy trims i did on myself since my journey started. Your channel has helped me your wash days, & your advice & helped me so much. I just had my hair cut now it's just barely at waist length so I'm going to be doing everything I can to get it back past that length if not longer as I'm aiming for tailbone length. My hair gets matted, tangled, single strand knots, & unravels around eachother into a hair nest litterally . I need a super fruit deep conditioner & growth oil to help speed up the grocers. Good luck & hope to see more wash & gos & hair product reviews & even sponsors to help show us products we might never have heard of that might be the answer to our moisture issues with keeping our curls from getting dry .❤

I feel like a lot of type 4 natural hair influencers are moving away from wash and go’s because there’s been a bigger emphasis on volume instead of definition. I’ve been doing the same thing. Also, I think a lot of influencers have come out and said that excessive wash and gos have been damaging to their hair. I think that might be the reason for the lack of videos on tiktok.

I’ve been using his technique for about 2 months and the benefits from his technique has changed my hair and resulted in over 2.5 inches of growth after I did a big chop. The key is a cream cleanser and the theory that wash and gos are only to last for the most for us 4C girls 2 days. Wash and Gos is to keep continual moisture in your hair which promotes growth and less split ends.
