He's so great. I recently saw a clip he posted of his early days singinng vs now. It showed how much his voice had improved through practice. He worked really hard at getting as good as he is. Hard work pays off!

Same here! I love great Soul Singers like Chuck Jackson and Ben E. King, etc. Few days ago I first heard 'The Door', and thought: Who-is-this-singer?? I was convinced he was an unknown gem from the 60's that I had somehow overlooked in my 40 years of collecting Vintage Soul. He sure pays a great hommage to all those awesome Soul Singers from the past. Bless your mother for her good taste!
