Okay maybe I’m missing something. But I’m having the same issue, already replaced hub assemblies and wheel bearings and didn’t solve the issue. And I’m not understanding how calipers could cause the shake and a certain speed but not others when you’re not on the breaks? Care to help

Well the caliper is sticking o it’s like the brake is applied while driving. You can check if you jack the car up so the wheels are off the ground. Pump the brake pedal then go around to each wheel and see if you car turn them. If you can’t turn the wheel then the caliper is probably sticking and needs to be replaced.

I have the same issue … can i just change the calibers instead rotors and brake pads coz I can’t afford right now to change those….will that fix the issue?

It depends how bad the rotors get. I didn’t have to do the rotors on mine

My e46 is having an odd clacking noise from my rear left wheel and I have no idea what it is but it's loud. If anyone knows what it could possibly be please let me know it's greatly appreciated

It could have something to do with the bushings in the rear if they are worn. It’s kinda noise you would hear mostly over bumps or when turning. Or the swaybar links. If it is a noise you hear while the vehicle is moving rotating noise. Could have something to do with the brakes or even the parking breaks.

It could be check and see if any of the calipers are sticking

Don't put any grease on ATE system never ever. Just on the place, where brake pad have contact with calliper

is it possible the rear brakes can cause the shake when braking, i changed the front pads on my 325xi and I get the shaking only when braking lightly at speed when I break hard it goes away

Hmm if it’s in your steering, normally it’s from the front. Could be the rotors. But the fact that it goes away is interesting. Could be something loose like a tie rod or balljoint.

I have the exact problem right now I changed pads and rotors and it shakes around 25/30 mph when slowing down or getting off highways but slowing down at 80/60 it’s fine I’m trying to figure it out myself

Having this issue, only occurs after I brake at high speeds

Could be a caliper, if it stops after you let off the brake could be your rotors or some thing loose.

@@AndyTheXTech once it starts it doesn’t stop for the rest of the drive, and smells like it’s burning, I’m assuming it’s the calliper, would j be a belt to replace just 1 or do I have to do both?
