My male betta is not eating after breeding.now he is sick without eating.he don't care betta babies.babies are falling in to water and die.now my betta is separated from babies.what am l do?

Hey it sounds like he has swim bladder disease! id suggest moving him to a hospital talk with very shallow water so he can get to the surface quickly for air, fast him for 3 days and try to feed him a frozen pea, boil the pea for about 10 minutes and take the shell off it, then mash it up and try to give it to the fish. id reccomend putting a live plant into the hospital tank so that it can rest in the plant. Keep the water warm with a heater as bettas are tropical and do a 70-80% water change every day, you need the water to stay very very clean or it wont work. you can also buy medications for swim bladder!

It depends on the weather. Betta must live above 22°C. Otherwise, they can't survive without heater.

Actually youll find bettas need a minimum of a 5 gallon tank to maintain a healthy lifestyle and they need a heater as theyre tropical fish, a bettas life expectancy is also 2-3 years so please do some proper reaserch before spreading misinformation

Mine only lasted 6 months and paid 40$, I was very sad, wish I seen this video before.

I just bought a new double tail Betta it grabs Most of it but then spits it out he eats a little but I'm worried Update : my guy is now eating now and is happy I guess it was because he was new and didn't expect to have a nearly 10 gallon tank

If you're using pellets try a smaller sized pellet :) they might just be too big for him

sir urgent problem!!!!! my newly bought halfmoon betta is lethargic and not eating he is often laying at bottom of the tank and just comes up a few times to take breath its been 2 days since i bought him and i did acclimate him decently is it a serious issue or will he just recover on his own as he gets adjusted??? what to dooo????

@@yashu000 my betta is fine now it was just that he was very highly stressed and had mild fin rot i gave aquarium salt bath for 3 days and he is well now

Tap water is OK for Betta fish

Yes but you need to add water dechlorinator to get rid of the chlorine in the water as it will irritate the bettas slime coat and cause damage
