many sizeable business operators are leaving KZN for the Cape and Namibia. the rampant lawlessness and lack of protection for businesses is the major contibutor from what I've heard from clients. unfortunately it's only gonna get worse from here onwards. Durban, Newcastle, Hammersdale, Stanger and RBay infrastructure is debilitating at a rapid pace. jobs are scarce. fraud, drug wars and robberies are on the rise.

We are a disaster recovery service provider to the insurance industry and part of what we do is assess damage in transit claims.... Over the past 2 years particularly when attending to these claims we have noticed a massive spike in terms of migration of folks from up north and into the WC, and in particular into the West coast, which for those who don't know has a footprint that stretches up to Namibia.... The best part about this migration is that the demographic is mostly the middle to upper income earner and business owner.... The Western Cape is very much on a trajectory towards being transformed into the literal "Monaco of Africa"....

Nope. Not with all that LGBTQ nonsense. Don't get me wrong. I love gay people but it's turning into USA levels of weird with men who masquerade as women.

Too many push factors: exorbitant utility bills to offset non-paying squatter settlements, abysmal municipal services, communication blackouts, home invasions, hijacking, gruesome attacks on the elderly, squatter dweller's disturbances and noise at unearthly

Propaganda implies deceit. I'm only speaking facts.

Oh, @TommyLikeTom , resorting to the "propagandist" card already? How original. Let’s inject a bit of intellect into this, shall we? People moving to Cape Town from KZN and PTA aren’t xenophobes, they’re just looking for a better life-basic economics, really. But I get it, throwing around buzzwords is easier than actually thinking. Here’s a tip: instead of name-calling, try wrapping your head around some real facts. South Africa's constitution guarantees rights regardless of origin. And Cape Town? It’s attractive for reasons like job opportunities and quality of life improvements. Next time, engage with some substance. It might do wonders for your arguments.
