I have tested positive 2 weeks ago. Luckily i was able to comeback back to my home in Kerala from Delhi (where i work). From day one i was receiving calls from nurses and other staffs from the local municipal body to monitor my situation. Moreover they even provided me a pulse oximeter (for free) to monitor my oxygen saturation levels. one nurse calls me every day evening to monitor my situation. And also all my testing were free since i made the tests from a government centre near my home. Thankfully now i am fully recovered

True , I'm also from amaravati district my parents also treated in amaravati. They got hospital beds very easily.

In Mumbai, management is not perfect, but it is handled in efficient way. Hope all maharashtra adopts this system especially in Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad.

Mumbai has put mbbs students like me on covid duty (internship) , the situation where I work is under control and there are more than enough amount of oxygen cylinder (tank) and beds for patients. Vaccination is also provided by BMC. Wear masks and Stay safe everyone :)

Dr M I.heard some doctors died because. thry didnot get proper mask.and gowns I saw in TV inUK staff in covid ward wore extra plastic mask on top of face mask and before thory could be orgsnised.properly local enter prises built these headcovers im.schools .and at homes

My father has a covid hospital in Thane and he was in a constant rush for oxygen in April he suffered insomnia, stress and depression but his hospital workers saved inumerable lives and now when covid is slowing down my whole family is finally given some time to rest. Hats off to all warriors. Eknath shinde is a politician and he stay in the O2 centers for 16 hours daily to facilitate hospitals with O2 (iwont reveal his party name).

Delhi should get help, mumbai is part of the maharashtra so all maharashtra helps mumbai and vice versa. Delhi is Union territory and not part of the bigger state , hence does not get direct oxygen . But people from surrounding states come to delhi for employment, so be grateful to Delhi, and help them in their needs. We have to fight this together.

@@umar02121 1 RT-PCR tests, 1 blood test, several tablets of multi vitamin, minerals and zinc that's it, that was because my ct value was high, though my mother had multiple of tablets and tests, still it costed nothing less then 10-12k.

I would like to add now there is no waiting time for report, if a person feels he is infected by covid he can visit jumbo centers in Mumbai for Isolation and later he can be shifted to hospital as per the needs Also BMC's next target is to do vaccination society wise after drive-in vaccination drives. BMC is working well in this pandemic. My mom got positive and she was having mild symptoms but due to lung fibrosis as her comorbidity , an ambulance came and took her to the Seven hills hospital (One of the largest BMC center in the city) and she returned back in 10 days with no need of oxygen. Hope Authorities in delhi and ncr learn this.

I am a South Indian from Maharashtra and I am proud of the way our government has successfully handled this crisis. Maharashtrian for life ✌️

Mumbai's condition is good my uncle got covid positive immediately we got a call from covid center they told us the centre where we had to admit him and there he got ICU bed and was treated extremely well and He got cured 3 weeks and is back and all happened for free.

My mother was covid positive .I had to admit her somewhere and she urgently needed oxygen . I just called war room and the guys on phone handled everything right from registering her to jumbo hospital nearby to shifting her to particular bed . Food she was getting inside was good too. After a day I admitted her to good private hospital , unless n until I showed the BMC letter from the private hospital they didn't give her discharge from jumbo. Overall process was very much planned and executed properly. Kudos to BMC and team. My mother is fine and back home happily.

Well we don't expect these type of situation from the most developed city and capital of India ! Even one of my relatives in Delhi didn't even got a call from the govt. office though his oxygen level was only 70 ! They arranged a bed in Noida after facing many difficulties. :(

I am from Mumbai. My whole family was tested positive for COVID. Just after receiving the RT-PCR reports we started getting calls from BMC people and doctor. After RTPCR report, very next day they came to our home and noted each and everything as mentioned in this video. They gave us self-isolation undertaking form and told us to fill and sign it and send it over whatsapp. Although we had mild COVID but BMC people called us daily. Especially they were interested in my mother and father's health as they both are above 55. It's been 15 days from 1st symptom (We already recovered) I still receive their daily IVRS call where they note down whether we have symptoms like Fever, Dry Cough, Oxygen is above 95, etc. Thanks a lot BMC. I used to vote NOTA in elections but this time Shiv Sena deserves my vote.

@@ishan5253 well, I don't think so but I do agree that Delhi condition is partly his responsibility. He didn't prepare the hospitals and the systems. But still I think the major problem with Delhi is that either center or state can either take each others praise and blame each other. In my view Delhi either should be granted a statehood or atleast the responsibilities should be given in clear words by the court.

i m a mumbaikar ,My grandfather got positive in nov . bmc called us and 2 people were also sent for checking wheither to be hospitalise or home isolation he got home isolation and in weeks he got well

Tbh I am from Kerala, my father is a vehicle inspector here and now he is having the duty in ernakulam war room.here in war room according to my knowledge there are many officials from different departments and the collector is looking after the situation. My Father says in the war room they allocate the vehicles for Carrying the oxygen cylinders and also allocate specific how many of it goes to which hospital.

I am from Navi Mumbai and my father got a bed very easily here. Glad the situation has been managed in a better way.

Last year also Kejriwal handled the Covid situation very badly. This year it is much worst. No one criticizes him from fear of being trolled by aaptards and AAP IT cell.

I think there are other important factors as well 1. The difference in budget of both cities' municipal corporations is vast. 2.BMC is more experienced in disaster management and faster mobilization of resources. 3.The most important factor is unlike Delhi, the Maharashtra state government and the BMC are ruled by the same parties so the power struggle and confusion are avoided. 4.Difference in the number of oxygen plants which both states installed after the first wave and the beginning of the second is also visible.

I am from Maharashtra Pune where no. Are highest in India things are bad but we can see government people are working in positive. I think main reason for Delhi is most of the things are required central government permissions. But Maharashtra, Delhi south India are the only state's that are working and giving right numbers

2 days ago my ex-colleague / senior was admitted due to COVID in Goregaon, Mumbai. The Doctor's and Nurses are treating him well. Let's hope like him, all patients are treated well & cured. Also let's hope that there's no more further infection.

Once again, this explains the importance of critical education, innovation and experience. Sad to see this the national capital 🥺

@@areebhussain4856 UP is one of the backward states in India.

Delhi faces 3 huge problems: 1. It's weird power structure that causes confusion as to which government is responsible for what function 2. Many people from neighbouring states of UP, Haryana and even Punjab bring thei relatives to Delhi for hospitalisation thinking they'll get better treatment. 3. Delhi doesn't have any industrial oxygen plants of it's own due to it's enviornmental guidelines. As for Mumbai it has 3 distinct advantages: 1. It's power structure is pretty straightforward, it's run by the BMC commisioner who's directly under CM and can also directly contact PMO for emergency help. 2. Patients from Mumbai don't mind going to suburbs, Thane or Navi Mumbai for treatment. Hence the case load is divided and doesn't put that much pressure on the system. 3. Maharashtra is an industrial state and has it's own Oxygen producing plant, once the entire industrial oxygen was diverted for medical use in Maharashtra, there was no question of oxygen scarcity, only logistics were an issue. Also today as we analyse these 2 cities, Mumbai has gone past its peak and Delhi is going through it's peak of the wave, Look at videos of March end-April first week from Mumbai and you'll see the same chaos and confusion. I can guarantee the same media channels will talk about the "Delhi Model" 2-3 weeks down the road.

actually the problem with delhi is it way passed the cases health infrastructure could handle ,30000 for a city is not a small number , kejriwal (I am his supporter still) misjudged the capacity of cases he could handle ,I know economy is important but still lockkdown should have been imposed earlier

There's also credit you need to give people. People are more disciplined in Mumbai than in Delhi. There is a civic sense and a sense of community responsibility which makes lot of difference. Delhi most of them are entitled.

People are the best unlike Delhites.. Being a Tapori(no such thing in reality, all filmy) is way better than being a Goonda.

I have been tested positive last week with mother and wife .serious symptoms found like sometime breathlessness ,dry cough,tiredness with full day headache and vomiting.Testing done on the same day. RT-PCR report got in 24 hrs. Pune municipal corporation(PMC) people visited home for detailed enquiry in 2 days. enquired about bed requirement and oxygen 2 times in a week and checked whether my family is getting recovered or not .this is apart from my doctors consultation and my org admin staff. they are seriously checking and calling to ensure everything is in place or not..Thanks to PMC

BMC is Used to of Emergency Situations. The Officers and field workers really Working hard my Uncle daily work for 13 _ 14 Hours..The Mumbaikar Spirit can sail through any situation..
