Yeah. What we were told at first was Vought's propaganda. Remember the supes didn't even know V existed at first. They thought they were born that way. So truth has been unfolding as the story progresses. When we found out soldier boy was Homelander's father, some people didn't accept the propaganda wasn't true. They still accept it even though we have been shown it wasn't true. Ryan isn't the first born supe, Homelander is. They said soldier boy was the first supe, but is was stormfront/liberty. We were told supes were born, it was V. They said they shot Homelander* up with V, but they used soldier boys seed. Etc. Remember that he's Soldier Boys son , and one scene says he had lazer vision and the ability to fly from birth . He probably got random powers from soldier boy , and he either DID get no aging, or slower aging , and its just stress, OR Soldier oy didnt pass down his direct powers , so Homelander didn't get the slow aging power like soldier boy, and has powers Soldier boy doesn't have like lazer vision and x ray vision . He also could have juat been dosed with more / other versions of Compound V, that gave him different powers. Also Soldier boy was cryogenically frozen. Again to be clear, I think that Soldier Boys powers weren't directly passed on to Homelander, as Homelander didn't get Soldier Boys exact powers, but didferent ones , so I think its most likely Homelander just lucked out.

His teammates were way younger and they got the mass produced compound V, which didn't have the anti aging effect, Crimson Countess for example, DID age as opposed to SB. Here's the facts: Homelander's male zygote is a supe with V, his mother's identity is hidden still but it's likely it is Stormfront or another female supe who has V, rather than a normal human woman. Obviously the homeless woman was only the surrogate, which imparts no DNA to the ivf fetus, aka baby Homelander. On top of having a confirmed male V father and a likely V mother, he was also given numerous injections of Compound V while he was a fetus, so he is absolutely filled with V down to his very molecular, DNA level. He's the first truly natural born supe in the show (and yes, IVF babies, aka 'Test Tube Babies' count as natural born, they aren't literally grown in a test tube like some people seem to genuinely think). I also think if he was to ever get hit by a full power Soldier Boy beam, it would outright kill HL and reduce him to goo, as the V is a part of his DNA itself, his molecular structure is built with it, so if all that was burnt out it would be a catastrophic collapse.

I'd give Soldier Boy the edge in physical strength though they're probably pretty close. His flight is useful for trying to blitz SB simply because Homelanders travel speed is faster then His combat speed. Also he's aging like a normal human which means he'll expire like one to. We know for a fact that SB either doesn't age or ages extremely slowly and will definitely outlive Homelander.

@slamyourheadin9449 you did see the s3 finale were SB was basically owning everyone right. Ryan hit him with the same blast that destroyed Stormfront SB walked it off. Homelander and Butcher hit him simultaneously with their heat beams and barely moved him. A supercharged Starlight nailed him with a blast got back immediately and started wrecking shop. Homelander has no real way to put down Soldier Boy but Soldier Boy had a definitive way of putting down Homelander. If they start the fight both at 100% I'm more then positive SB can hold Homelander down long enough to blast him with his chest blast. And even if Homelander survives the initial blast he's powerless and easy prey for Soldier Boy.

In the next season...... Homelander:You look so young Solider boy:You don't First of all,solider boy got the v in his early 20's.Then he was caught by the russians and put into a cold capsule that might have also slowed his aging.Homelander is the first naturally born supe.He went throuh a lot of experiments which might have nullified the anti-aging effect of the v.

Assuming he's not being affected by outside factors, there are quite a few possible explanations. It could simply be stress. The guy has been on the verge of a mental breakdown for like 3 seasons now It could be that the version of Compound V he was given was an adapted formula instead of the original, much riskier, version by Frederick Vought Maybe its because he's a natural born Supe, meaning that while he doesn't suffer from any inherent side effects he also doesn't get the bonus of aging incredibly slowly And that's just off the top of my head.

I think it's Ryan is the first naturally born supe, as Homelander's conception wasn't natural

I think its like how supermans cells divide and reproduce faster, in his case it gives him faster healing but in homelanders case it ages him faster

Homelander got it in more concentrated doses. And soldier boy ages, he’s just been cryogenically frozen for years.

He wasn’t. Soldier Boy just ages slower than normal people. He was born in 1919, got V in 1944 at 25, and then was captured in 1984. So he was about 65 when he was captured, but he only looked slightly older than he did in 1944. Then in modern day, he’d be a little over 100, but only looks like he’s in his 30s.

The obvious: After they saw Soldier Boy's powers nobody sane is going to create immortal superhumans.

That last sentence... Amen to that.

Also in the current season the lady who worked at the research center said that he zapped his way out of his mothers womb.

He was in his 60’s though by the time he got put in the chamber but still looked 30 so he clearly also has anti aging abilities. Same with Stormfront.
