Another stunning piece by longines. It has enough uniqueness to stand out amongst the many variations of Rolex and Tudor GMT's. From every angle you can see the craftsmanship and purposefulness of the design from the fine coin edge of the bezel to the micro adjustment of the leather strap. It's these little details that make it stand out from the rest.

An aviation or a dive watch is a field watch at its core and the Spirit line holds true to that design. Arabic numerals with an uncluttered dial and a well done date complication that’s out of the way and easy to read when needed. This is what I love about well designed field, Aviation and dive watches is they can be so versatile. You can wear them with jeans and a t-shirt or with a suit and tie and with a quick strap/bracelet swap can fit any occasion. I’m glad to see smaller brands such making a quality watch that’s up there with the big brands at an obtainable price.

They need to go for Tudor's jugular and with the new Spirits, they finally have a serious BB58 rival. I love Longines as a brand and I have two Longines that I'm delighted with. Said that, overall I like this new "Zulu", although seeing it in person I decide that it would not be in my collection. I don't like watches that shine too much, for my taste, the dial is too far from the glass, The Lyme and the bracelet are clearly improbable and the measurementes are somewhat large. The dial in general is not ugly but it does not convince me. I know it's a good watch and its specifications prove it but for the price or something else, there are watches that fit more into my preferences. Thanks for another great video.

I bought this watch a few weeks ago and really couldn’t be happier. I needed a GMT and after doing some research and going to boutiques I decided on this one(I have the Breitling 40mm GMT a hard look also). I Got the green bezel on the strap. Looking to pick up the bracelet for it now, since I want to put it in my work rotation in which I wear a suit.

I got re-infected as I was recovering after 9 days from my original infection. It cratered me. I love Longines as a brand and this watch is really nice. Worth considering. And I can see why you like it. I am not super keen on numerals on most dials, yet it works on this watch. Love the dimensions. And love the quick release. I wish they had a sweaty day adjustment for the bracelet. Looking at it more, I wish they had better differences between the hands. I also realize that the can bezel can act both as a GMT time indicator as well as 24 hour time indicator for the main face when aligned at the 12/24 position.

A lot of classic designs are 42, speed master moonwatch is a good example. I hope they do more variants though, different sizes for different people is a good thing, we don’t all wear the same Jean size and it should be the same with watches.

I thought it looked so good as soon as I saw it. Don't care that I've got my big eye , love one of these to partner it! No wonder you had to make a list it's got so many features and it's such a well balanced design Great to see a watch with applied arabics which look so good. Think my only nitpick was does having all those arabics around the bezel make the overall design too busy? Would just the key numbers and the rest indices look better? Maybe that's just me. One of your renders would answer that! The quick change bracelet and strap option is so good . You can get more of that heritage feel instantly. Good to have a colourway choice , really like the black, but the sunburst blue dial looks amazing with it's orange gmt hand absolutely popping. I think as with the Big Eye when you look at what this watch offers you , the most incredible thing about it is the price. Wow!

My Christopher Ward C60 GMT has both of those features at almost 1/3 price. The downside of the CW is 38hrs reserve and office GMT function. It's great to see true GMT at this price. @IDGuy when you finally buy one for yourself, I hope you'll update your review.

This is a really exciting release. The size works well for me. However, none of the colorways quite do it for me. They are all nicely executed, but not what I want at this very moment. If they come out with a Titanium version with anthracite dial with gilt features like in the regular Spirit, I will be at the store trying one on as fast as possible. I already really like the Titanium Spirit (I have had it on wrist), and a GMT version of that would combine all my desires into one watch. I like that they even took steps to address the long lugs of the regular Spirit as well.

I feel the same about the colours Sean. The Olive green bezel excited me but the thought of seeing a watch like this in a smaller size (maybe with a white dial, gilt arabics) and a green bezel? I cannot disagree with all of your points IDGuy. This watch is stunning. I have a lot of respect for Longines with the releases over the last few years. The Big Eye in steel (a watch I initially disliked but now own) through to the Sector dial and Tuxedo, wonderful at a glance readable pieces. The Zulu time is another piece that is simple yet elegant and the date at six (something that is quite rare in the Longines catalogue these days) along with the COSC certification are also a plus. The difficult choice would be the colour and to decide between the bracelet and the strap. Another model for me to see at the AD at some point. One thing that I've yet to find out is is the bezel is a 48 click like the Tudor BB GMT (1/2 hour differential) that would cover time zones that are 1/2 hours away from GMT. I work with teams all over the world that have that GMT +- X+1/2 offset.

No doubt they're going after Tudors jugular with these (and hopefully will bring the sizes down soon enough) But it's such a great start.
