I like very much your comments here. I am really searching "my voice". I am 55 years old and after beginning to listen to Dimash I was inspired by him to take lessons of singing and performance! I know I am just and old lady with a ordinary voice but I think that in my own way I can express emotions... So your comments to these masterpieces of Dimash's interpretation help me thinking about what I am learning and how I can do what I want. Thank you. Hugs from Brazil! ❤🇧🇷

Music is a form of self-expression. Of course, Dimash can express himself in very unique ways. He consistently pleases his audience. Now comes the question: Who are you singing for? First and foremost, you should sing for yourself, because others will find it difficult to enjoy your singing if you're not enjoying it yourself. If your throat starts hurting, those strained emotions are being transmitted as well. Okay, with the warning out of the way, I hope you'll enjoy singing like many others. =^-^=

Challenge: 1. Finish the final cut of a film, it's a wrap, in the can. 2. One year later decide to record Dimash singing the title track. 3. Six months later, after falling in love with Dimash's recording of your title track, decide to make an official music video 4. Get Sony Music Entertainment to agree to publish the music video 5. Now what? How to make a music video for an already-completed film so that elements of the MV integrate coherently with the film? Dr Marc, I think your analysis of this video shows us how the challenge was met successfully. This is the most complete analysis we've seen for how the edited elements of Dimash singing the track were incorporated into the film. Very interesting analysis, I really enjoyed it!

Snarky Tart, the man who wrote the score(including this song) for the movie, Creators-The Past said he always knew there was only one person he ever considered singing this song and that was Dimash! The film has already won several awards from movie festivals and was scheduled to be released in March but due to the pandemic had to be postponed. Hopefully it will be released as soon as it can be done safely because not only does Dimash sound incredible(as usual) but the film looks like it will be amazing as well & if all the awards it won at all the different film festivals says anything about it then hopefully it will be nominated for an Academy Award(Oscar) also! I just hope Dimash is recognized for his perfect interpretation of the song! What would be even better is if the film was nominated for an Oscar, won the award and that Dimash would get to perform the song at the awards ceremony! 😆🎵😆🎵

Dr. Marc thank you for your reactions. It's fun to see you being so enthusiastic about Dimash. You talk about how Dimash connects his gestures to the music per se, but he also connects it to the lyrics. My favorite moment of the video (visually) is when he, as you describe it, gets small with the hands with tight fists close together. He does it when he expresses his desire to be tightly held. Seeing the tight grip makes me feel his longing and I just want to hug him and hold him tight. Anyway, this is one of my favorite songs if his so far.

Yep excellent Soundtrack to the not yet released Sci-Fi movie Creators - the Past. Dimash always uses his whole body when he sings. Zaia the director of the movie and the composer of the soundtrack decided to add lyrics to one of his songs/themes for the movie because he really wanted to include Dimash (previously on the soundtrack the singing is done by a classical soprano). Imho it deserves a nomination for best original soundtrack.

He has already done the soundtracks for movies. This is one for the movie Creators:Th Past, in case you don’t know. He also did the sound track for several Chinese movies. For a Jackie Chan movie titled Vanguard, he sang “Be Happy”. Also, Go Go Power Rangers OST, Eternal Memory OST for the movie Battle of Memories. He also sang the theme song for several Chinese tv shows. It would be awesome if he could do a Bond film soundtrack. 🙏🙏

Yes the smooth edit points and directing is really great. This had solid development and preproduction thought put into it. Really beautifully done.

What I've noticed is that a number of "reactors" want to see the film because of this music video. So, I believe a bigger audience was attracted simply due to DIMASH performing the movie trac. The visuals are spectacular, I have to say.

Great informative reaction sir. I love this mv of Dimash. His voice is just ethereal. Indeed voice that went across dimension and Dimash always gave the meaningful performance and make us understand the story of the song, regardless of language barrier.

I’ve been hoping you would analyze this song. Thank you, my daughter told me that you and Sam only analyze live performances. I kept my hopes up and you didn’t disappoint. I love this and I hope it’s up for original song at the Oscars. It would be great to see Dimash on that stage singing to the great wide world. 😊❤️
