It's a dying trade, but it's what I've done for almost 20 years now. AI will ultimately take over the internet completely, but yea, AI room furnishings already exists as a thing too LOL

First time I see good content regarding the AI fever... This is just insane!!!! Like you, I used to love google for answers... Now? I am trying to have a search engine without AI.... AI should be fantastic in some works, like medicine (by following patterns), stock predictions (on physical and online stores) and in some factories... Besides that, I only see no use for AI... Thanks for the content and hope your channel grows!!!!

Thankyou so much for your feedback! and yep, the clients ive lost to AI are quickly finding out that while it does indeed save time and money, its not actually very good, it will be a expensive lesson for them to learn! lol

Yes. We are nearing the Trough of Disillusionment in the AI hype cycle. Expectations have outstripped reality.

3 groups are talking about AGI: -CEOs, for the investment -content creators, for the clicks -unsuspecting common folks, for excitement. Because no normal 9-5job engineer expects AGI within the next 300 years.

actual perfect comment. and i 100% hold my hand up accountable for the clicks part. i've been through 3 global financial crisis so far in my life time, i lost my house to the sub prime mortgage fiasco in 2008, i made this chan to talk about and review cool tech stuff and my day to day job, but i think there really needs to be some kind of accountability when companies lie to either 1 sell a mortgage to a family who cant affrord it, 2, sell a product that doesn't exist to investors and prop up an entire stock market, and 3, being a millennial, try and guide our next generation through the murky waters, especially of retail investing.

and who fixes the AI when it breaks? LOL. A small AI data center with Nvidia's most advanced and efficient AI processor boards will cause brownouts on almost any grid. AI investors what a few thousand AI data centers for training AI data models. The real bottleneck is Power Consumption. Transistors can maybe be squeezed out for about 2 more lithographic generations on power efficiency, but after that it's pretty much a hard stop. Light pipes for the datapaths can help, but even then you're limited on how many ALUs you can pack into a certain space to before the heat can't be dealt with...

the problem isn;t with the concept, its with them presenting the concept as real, now, happening, when infact, , its a concept, or idea. theres a huge difference there, and those differences have astronomical impacts toward those stock prices, which in turn effects day to day people.

yep! going down the energy required for these new systems is a whole other rabbithole, and again, is it really something we need as a civilization right now going through housing, food and energy crisis usually after the other after the other?

that's part of it but, my money is on, they are recording every move the humans make on the computer and using it as training data to train an AI to do the same thing.

i like to apologize because i was talking shit before watching the whole video and make my own research..

How much of it do you view as hype. Do you think for example most jobs will be automated in the next 10 years based on the tech that is developing now? Im guessing AGI isnt close by?

great question! well, honestly i think it all boils down to money, every day we see new news drop of the "next big thing" with AI, and as long as the money flows in, we'll make rapid advancements. my day job is almost completely redundant now because of AI, not because AI does it better, but because people who would normally hire me are given free AI tools to do the same thing, which its not even close, but its a perfect example of expectations vs reality, like the amazon store!
