It has been four days since Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi died. Today, he was laid to rest in his hometown Mashhad, after a three-day long funeral. Theories surrounding Raisi's chopper crash are circulating wide in Iran. While investigations into the matter are underway, some Iranians believe that the US should be held accountable for the crash. Iran's former foreign minister has said that Washington is a "culprit" in Raisi's death. Since the revolution, Iran has been under Western sanctions - which have blocked Tehran's access to modern aircraft. Notably, Raisi was travelling in an American chopper, albeit one that was manufactured 45 years ago. Palki Sharma brings you the full report.

Inside job: someone in Iran wanted this to happen. Follow up: on sourcing 45 year old aircraft when China and Russia can supply newer models: 45 year old American aircraft are more reliable than brand new Russian or Chinese craft. They are also fairly simple aircraft with minimal computer controlled parts.

They weren’t flying in the fog, they had a malfunction and had to descend into the fog ! They were flying above the fog with the other two choppers that one helicopter had a malfunction they had to go down, now! Fog or no fog ! helicopters need a flat surface to land on, with no friggin trees, if you can’t see the ground because of the fog, then you’re gonna crash ! If Iran authorities know that they are under USA's sanctions and could not get this very old helicopter's parts for maintenance, why should they allow the president to use this very old and unserviced helicopter? Blaming America is easy to do instead of taking responsibility for not updating the helicopter. I'm sure Iran has the money to get a new helicopter for the president. Like the reporter said, why didn't Iran just buy helicopters from Russia or China or other allies? Can't blame America for this. Just looking for ways to anger the people against the United States.

That landmark and bipartisan legislation authorizes the Secretary of State to deny passports and visas to any individuals involved in illegal organ trafficking-in China and globally.” Furthermore, the bill mandates annual reporting by the State Department on forced organ harvesting globally, and authorizes sanctions for individuals and entities that facilitate organ harvesting. “Silence is unacceptable-particularly from medical associations and corporations. If they remain silent, they are the most at risk of complicity in a crime against humanity,” concluded Smith, adding, “If we don’t act now, many more lives will be lost.”

The countries that have the parts beside U.S.A are all American allies who are forbidden to deal with iran or they would be punished by U.S. The same is true for Russia who can’t get parts for their Boeing planes bought from America a few decades ago.

Knowing that chopper was 45 years old & not fully reliable, why were you still using it? You could have replaced the old ones you still have with a China made or a Russian made, unless you feel you can trust an old American made more compared to a Russian or China made ones.
