Depends on the woman. My brother has a Moroccan wife. She volunteers free tutoring to black teenage boys taking advance math in my community. She has a masters in chemistry. She got her education in Fez, Morocco. She’s serving the black American community more than the actual black women in the community. I’m courting a Moroccan woman who has a masters in economics. If I choose to marry her she will serve my community’s interests. She can serve as a tutor for advanced math too plus she speaks English well.

Why should any Black person care about why Indians don't marry Black race people? I don't think that Indian people are concerned about why Black race people don't marry Indian people? I am African and light skin. Growing up I hated being light skin, my friends use to make jokes about me being white but I hated that because I was light skin as in white skin person. I am not even an albino. I just felt black skin was original and I still feel black skin is original and even with that I am proud to be black and proudly married to black skin wife. I have always envied being black skin despite being black, can you imagine that! Being black and wanting more of it. There is one thing I hate about black peoples though, I hate that we hate ourselves.

Ethiopians have a slur for Africans with a dark skin tone. They call them "Bahria". A friend of mine used to cohabitate with an Ethiopian girl. I am an Indian and many of our gods are black color like Rama, Krishna , Kaali mata they are all dark complexion. But in India I think many people if given a choice they would like to choose fair complexion than dark complexion for themselves. Technically, we have brown skin that ranges from dark brown to light brown. We are not really black. I have gone to school with Indians but I’ve never had any interest in them. They seem to gravitate toward white people and over extend themselves to be accepted by whites, which I don’t understand since I view the majority of whites as having a colonialist mindset and bias against nonwhites (especially melanated people). The fact that Indian has a caste system based on skin color is rather disturbing to me and antiquated for the times. It is a backwards way of thinking for people to be separated by color into a hierarchy that places the lightest colored people at the top and everyone else at the bottom. White people know full well that darker skin is more genetically dominant than recessive lighter colored skin but they’ve conditioned and brainwashed everyone into thinking darker skin is ugly….and it is not! Ironically, all humankind should owe gratitude to the “black man” because life came out of Africa and the first humankind were black people.

I am a Sudanese-Canadian and here in Canada 🇨🇦 we date our types. If we want to date outside our race, we go for White Woman. After White woman we go after Hispanic woman. I never even thought about dating an Indian woman. I thought about dating a Chinese woman but I have not yet dated a Chinese woman as they are difficult to get.

Hi Zake am in the UK used to live in Coventry then in one the high streets there was a black lady s shop sold some groceries and African food will tell you this no Indians people bought from her shop never the worst thing was even blacks didn't support her till she closed but blacks shop in Indians

I studied in India for six years in the late '80s. I went over since opportunities in Kenya were limited, only three universities with only 20,000 places for 100,000 qualified students. Anyway depending on where one was, we got along well(or badly) with locals. In Cosmopolitan towns it was good, in towns where there had been little interaction with people from other worlds, there was bad interaction. I had great Indian friends and was invited into their homes. As for marriage, it is possible, only that cultural differences, religious differences make it hard to forge great relationships. But reality is that there are ignorant perceptions on how good a person is based on skin tone. Reality hits hard soon enough. "Love is blind, marriage is the eye opener!"

When you are very rich, they soon forget you are black. It is all about money. They think you are lower down the social ladder because of social conditioning. Once they know you have money, they look at you as potential. It is survival of the greediest.

The fact of the matter is, most people of any race do not date outside of their race. The vast majority of Black people marry other Black people.

As Africans we need to choose ourselves as well. We really need to reprogram our minds concerning our value as human beings. Colonialism/ Apartheid/ slavery did a lot of damage to how we see ourselves compared to other races, especially white people. Even long after slavery and colonialism, the effects of inferiority are still there. It’s passed down from generation to generation. Which is sad. But there’s hope.

I’m Ethiopian I’m BLACK!!! My parents wouldn’t want me to marry BLACK CARIBBEAN. African is fine but their preference was Ethiopian or East African tbh! But typically even some Africans don’t like you marrying other blacks. Unfortunately. I will never teach my kids this!

The Son of Emperor Haile is married to a Caribbean lady from Guyana. So there are exceptions. Ethiopians have been under an ArabEurogentile spell for a long time. It is quite evident when you are in Ethiopia. But still many Ethiopians in Ethiopia love Black......especially if you look like them. Black people need to accept and learn to respect one another. When I was a child my dad told me that we are Caribbean before you look outside your race in the Caribbean there are 13 countries and 21 Territories of the West Indies then the African continent. My Nan wanted me to marry an Indian I dated him but no it was not for me our family was not poor but my Nan insisted his family had land and they would build a big house for you. I refused then after Uni I met my husband to be in my workplace. He was my favourite customer when I moved from the hospitality industry to the travel industry he followed me. We dated then boom. We had 2 boys 19 and fourteen. Sometimes be patient.

Having traveled to the sub-continent of India on many occasions, it has been awe inspiring to mix with the culture and to know the people. Northern India and Southern India are also greatly divided; by culture, physiognomy and of course - by color! Many southern Indians resemble east Africans (Ethiopians) and also as some Western anthropologists have termed them - Aborigines (Australian). In Southern India, they also classify themselves as being 'Black People'. Those from Northern India are referred to as being 'White People'. The Islamic community in the Southern region also revere the African, especially if they're Muslim, because the 'Moorish / African' historical influence is still held with respect!!

I have many black friends her in the UK and I can tell you this, non of them would date or marry an Asian. There has been animosity between the two races since I was a child which still continues today especially amongst the older generation. In most cases even in a multicultural country like the UK races tend to stay within there own cultural environment. Most of the interracial partnerships tend to be in the inner-city areas of major cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester. In the nineteen sixties and seventies the British Black Community looked down on Asian peoples and the Asian community looked down on Black peoples, unfortunately things still have not changed, the same racial tensions exist today between the two peoples. The one thing that they do hold in common is a deep dislike and mistrust of Muslims in general.

The reality is it comes to working in the field, this is something across Asia that people who work in the field get darker skin, and thats what this is really about. Poor folk work in the fields and rich folk work inside. Thats really what it comes down to.

Even in business its not easy if you're black, except if your other race clients are so desperate for what you offer.

Brother, its a rough conversation but its the truth, we need to care about ourselves the same way those other races care about themselves. What's very sad is that some of us have emulated this hatred that every single race on this planet has against us that's why we can kill and destroy ourselves so easily on the continent and in the diaspora. If anyone has a problem with my color, or my racial lineage, I consider it their problem, not mine. Life is too short to be worrying about who accepts me because of my color. I can't change it, I didn’t choose what color I wanted to have. All of this is quite ridiculous.

Why would they embrace darker external skin tones, if darker internal skin tones are rejected? Do we dread being with ourselves? Must we address our internal malady concerning skin tones? Check out The Staple Singers song, "Respect Yourself".

The british created the divide & rule caste system when they invaded India. They also created tribal castes, Dalits, OBC, SC, ST etc You need some education on Indian history

Honestly, as a young black African man, I’m not losing any sleep over this. I personally am not interested in marrying them either. I might have short term flings with a few to satisfy my curiosity, but the woman who will always have the first right of refusal will be the fellow black African woman. Women from the continent of Asia are at the bottom of my list when it comes to that kind of commitment.

I'm a Zulu and in our tradition we are not allowed to marry or even sleep with other race, & yes some Zulus do merry outside our race, some because they not aware of that culture rule, some because of straight ignorance and trying to living a civiled lifestyle but unfortunately the one who suffers from those relationship are the kids. Why would we be worried about it or inviting other people to come in to colonize our bloodlines? The Indian culture is Aryan in origin and that is how the Aryans devised to keep their bloodlines somewhat pure and in power in the land and over the Dravidian people they colonized.
