@@Ramhisatya611 nope , then you don't know the reality , not saying Assamese people don't go , mostly Assamese people in the border area are tribal people, tribal people are known for cleanliness...many people from other states also take these route ...as many Bihari and UP people are living in my own village

around 3 months back I was in Meghalaya.. While travelling by Taxi we saw another car from Guwahati ... the passengers threw out some garbage on the road. The Taxi driver gave the tourist a good verbal dosage. The humble people of Meghalaya know how to keep their surrounding clean.. When will others learn? With good education from childhood.. it may change in a couple of decades.. Hope so.

I remember a couple of years ago Leh Ladakh used to amazingly clean with lesser tourists but these days city of Leh is so badly littered with plastic everywhere. Seriously we Indians need to own up to cleanliness and have some regards for our surroundings (dont mean to call anyone out but in my experience mostly experience this in North Central India theres a total disregard for the environment compared to other regions. Also city folks from all over the country have the same care a damn attitude for environment).

I traveled to Bhutan in 2013 through my motorcycle as a Motorcycle tourer. I shouted and prayed for an apology to Bhutan on that cursed morning when that bastard climbed the Chorten and brought a ban on us.
