Yamaha Tenere 700:
The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is a midsize adventure/dual-sport motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha since 2019. It features a 689 cc (42.0 cu in) parallel-twin engine which powers the motorcycle through a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. Brakes are equipped with rider-switchable (on-off) ABS. The "baby Ténéré" is the latest in a series of dual-sport Yamaha motorcycles named after the Ténéré desert stage of the Dakar Rally in the Sahara. The successor to Yamaha's XT660Z Ténéré was first announced as the T7 concept at the 2016 EICMA with an anticipated production launch in 2018. A refined concept was publicized a year later.
Yamaha announced that delivery of bikes would begin in Europe in July 2019, and only the following year to the USA due to emissions and other regulatory delays. The liquid-cooled 4-stroke 8-valve DOHC engine with crossplane crankshaft was already in use and well reviewed in Yamaha's MT-07 naked and Tracer 700 sport touring bikes.

@@MotorcyclesOffroad I feel you man. It gets ridiculous some times. I do believe the bigger man doesn't need a bigger bike. They can confidently ride whatever they like without worrying about stuff like displacement or power.

I've had big bikes and tiny bikes. The smaller ones are much more fun. Just less effort to move around!@@bradleyland
I'm getting a T7 this winter!! I have the xsr700 which has the same motor - which I love. Gonna be a fun bike.
Don't listen to the haters
I’m with ya Andrew…will keep the modified 300 rally for true adventure riding. I ride solo often. I can go more places safely in the mountains and desert trails than majority of riders with the ego bikes. I’ve had to rescue my share of riders with big bore bikes. Here in Idaho, the people that live here ride the smaller bikes! Drz 400, xt 650, Dr 650 and the crfs. They go everywhere! Don’t be fooled by the adventure market. I live in the most open and accessible area in the lower 48 to ride. If you’re strictly a boomer on gravel, then buy into the look and get the trendy bike and a sprinter van!
Calm and honest🌹 I think you should block haters off your channel You are too caring of disrespectful people opinion Keep up the great work and have fun! 🍻🍻
Thanks for your contact really good videos. I’ve got a DR 650 and love it. Looking for something a little bit more road oriented and thinking about a tenere some reviews say that the its harsh on bad quality roads/twisty back roads, which is what I ride. Would you agree with that. Or do you think it’s a good choice for that kind of writing. Thank you.
You ever ride in Vermont? Lots of great dirt roads and class 4s to explore here. I’m sure one of your subscribers would show you around if you came up north 👌🏻
I'm really thinking about buying the T7. It's great ergonomics and engine really felt good on my test ride. Only thing is I'm concerned is it's small gas tank and top heavy along with being tall might make it harder to handle when I'm slightly fatigued after a long ride.

Literally all motorcycles that aren’t boring Harley’s are “top heavy”
Thanks as always

Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I am a new t7 owner. Its a super fun bike, but not perfect. And im in the same boat, where i realize that i could have bought two slightly used klr's with farkles for the same price as 1 new t7. And the t7 might be better, but im having a hard time saying it is twice as good.

I agree 100%, the thing is I love the T7. But having a few less expensive bikes that I can try, sell, repeat, will ultimately be better for my content and fun as well.
would be nice to get a side by side comparison vs Transalp 750 and the Suzuki DR800 (new ones) before you pull a plug on another bike.
Having all bikes and studying riding time/choise is interesting. If just exploring i usually go for the DR650 or KLX250S, just more nible and fun. T700 more for longer distance and street riding. If the DR650 would vibrate a bit less i probably wouldn´t ride the T700 at all. I just get more freedom and fun on the smaller bikes
I was tempted to get one especially since I could get one for 35% off I could ride it for 3 years and still get my money back. But Wifey says no more motorcycles 😩
I notice these bikes are starting to flood the used market. Very interesting. Last year you couldn't find one. I think they are facing stiff competition on ktm 890, desert x, and tons more.

They are no where to be found in my are I see 2 on marketplace like 200 miles away for 12,000$
Nice bike
I'm selling mine too. Got me into dirt but I'm all in now. Looking for a 300 two stroke as soon as it's gone. Which will make me sad but better than it sitting in the garage

Just curious, was the bikes weight a deciding factor?
@patw9175
Жыл бұрын
@@wiredwebmaster Insofar as I can't take it on enduro rides because of the weight, yes. It is amazing offroad and I've done things on my T7 that no 500lb bike should be able to do. But I want to get into real enduro riding and there's no way I'm gonna make it through the rides on any adventure bike. I don't have the skill or endurance. For 99% of people, even the ones who get pretty deep into adventure riding, the weight is only a problem if you drop it. Pick it up alone 4 or 5 times and it takes a LOT out of you. Doing slow speed practice and clutch control drills almost every day on the T7 made a huge different though, I found I was much more comfortable in tricky spots offroad than most people.

@@patw9175 Just rolling my T7 out the garage compared to the KLX250 and DR650 i always think, man this thing is just fucking to heavy. It doesn´t have that light playful easy going aura of it, once rolling it´s fine and a decent adventure/offroad tourer.

Ahh na those comments don't bother me, sometimes I just fire back in fun. If you let comments get to you, then you surely can't do youtube. And yeah it's ok to sell it, I'm not riding it as much as I should be.
DR650…. Used, then Farkle. It’s kept me from buying anything new because of the versatility. Also, the dr650’s power is perfectly balance for technical off-roading. Too much power makes technical harder imo.
