Foolish people with money to waste that convince themselves they are "saving". I made a good 6 figures and I find it a waste of money to buy any luxury brand. The difference is not much and at the end of the day you're paying more money to go from A to B. I once was that fool driving Audis and Mercedes and honestly, a Honda or Toyota is just fine. An Audi is a glorified VW. An Acura is just a more expensive Toyota. With Tesla, you're paying more money for a cheaper quality car that wasted your time waiting for it to charge. Time is the most expensive thing there is. You never get more time. Somehow EV buyers delude themselves into thinking waiting 90m min to continue their trip is a good thing and they don't mind. The only good thing about them is the acceleration. The no emissions are nice but that doesn't actually benefit you besides a misleading feeling you're saving the environment while you're putting more waste in the landfills driving on coal generated electricity. Hydrogen is coming fast. That's the real future.

@@hopperbopperi have a gas car and a Tesla model 3. And I drive the model 3 whenever possible and just charge at work or home . Way more convinent than driving to gas station and getting gas. If there are people who need to wait 60 mins to charge their car on a weekly basis. Maybe they shouldn't buy one. Obviously different people have different use cases, for me the ev works better 99% of the time. Hydrogen though I just don't see any future for it. It's energy inefficient because it requires electricity to extract the hydrogen from water and then later turns it back into electricity. Hydrogen is extremely flammable, wouldnt want to see a highly compressed hydrogen fueled car crashing and immediately explode.
$1700/mo lease and you won't pay $99/year for premium connectivity?

Look at Marina growing up - I mean this in a good way. Priorities definitely change when you become an adult and start to own property/properties. A person definitely still wants nice things, but doesn’t want to make excessive purchases that negatively affects cashflow unnecessarily, because there are better uses for that cashflow. This is exactly what happened to me when I bought a nice house and so many adults that I know.
I think the Y is the best option
I’ve got the model y and I can’t see me ever going back to internal combustion engines. However I have solar so it literally cost less than my gas a month to get a new car. @hopperbopper

That's the only reason why it would be cheaper. Otherwise you're spending about 15K on avg more for the car, which people don't factor into their "savings". Electricity prices keeps going up. I have Tesla solar. My electric bill goes up every year just in BS fees that are mandatory. The pricing difference won't last long, electricity will be more expensive than gasoline, it just will. Electricity has a much stronger monopoly over you than the oil companies. Then there's the increasing wait times at the chargers and the increasing rates for them. When I stop on road trips, it's about 15m max, 90m min is a waste of my time. If you want to do a cross country road trip, then charging really wastes time. Remember not everyone wants to fly like a sardine with all the crazies these days. You have to replace tires more often and they are more expensive. So that's more waste. You get into a minor crash that compromises the battery, that's more waste and if not you're waiting months for parts. Hydrogen is coming fast and doesn't need fuel cells anymore, just water. Then you have solid state batteries. I wouldn't buy an EV, only lease because they quickly become outdated and the range gets lower with time. The politicians have even admitted they should keep gas prices high so BEV can compete. Most people realize it's silly to spend 15K more on a BEV just so you can break even 4-5 years later. Higher loan == higher interest you're paying. You're paying more to spend more time waiting for your car to be charged, spending more for tires and brakes, spending more for features because Elon figured out how to charge you extra for the things your vehicle already has. He already decided to charge you for things you used to get for free like "premium Internet" and heated seats. How long before 100% charge is a premium addon cost?

5 күн бұрын
no. California gas prices are artificially high because they want to force you into EVs, this is a fully admitted part of the plan. Unfortunately my state is becoming California because Californians fled here and vote for what they fled from. If you have a solar EV is worth it but there's still many drawbacks right now. Hopefully that changes but I think BEVs will be short term vs other methods.
The screen is still useful even if you don't pay for the premium connectivity service, just setup a hotspot using your phone when you need it.
If it's supposed to be free, get the invoice in advance confirming the free maintenance service. You don't have to negotiate it, just ask for it.
It would be awesome if a title called "why I will not be buying a Tesla x again" would actually be a 5 second video of a person giving a quick answer, saving us a lot of time.
If you can pay cash for a used Tesla and are confident that it hasn't been in an accident, opting for an older vehicle can be a wise decision. However, purchasing a new Tesla comes with a $7,500 cash rebate for most buyers. Additionally, the latest models usually include significant improvements that may not be immediately obvious. Your videos typically provide excellent insights, albeit I recommend revising this one to balance the advantages of buying new with the benefits of buying used. Every auto shop has its issues; this isn't unique to Tesla. After owning a Tesla for about eight years, I've found their repair staff to be honest, and I've been fortunate not to encounter significant problems. Sometimes, mistakes or misunderstandings arise that require correction or clarification. When your husband pointed out the mistake, it was corrected during a home service repair, which wasn't a "fight for everything," but rather a necessary correction. We have all made mistakes in our work that could be interpreted as intentional. Part of being a professional is to give people the benefit of the doubt as I am giving you. This feedback is meant to be constructive and without ill intent.

Many people in "Silicon Valley," especially tech workers, will not qualify for the tax credit. It's not because they are rich but because high incomes are required to pay for the insane cost of living there and the tax credit income limit doesn't differentiate between SF, LA, NYC and a small town worker in Idaho.
$1000 vehicle registration renewal? Geezus I pay like $60 a year in Florida.
@hopperbopper
11 күн бұрын
More money on tires, more money on registration, more time wasted waiting for their charge, more money up front to buy the car, more more on interest over the life of the loan, and soon more money in electricity to charge. People really don't get this point. The cost of charging is only lower to get you in. Once everyone is in it's going to skyrocket. It already goes up every year. Electricity is a stronger monopoly than the oil industry. Typically an area only has one electricity provider while gas stations and oil companies have more competition

Model X is the best car Tesla ever made.
So if you publish your results Tesla reacts. If you don't you are out of luck and have to pay for it. So own a Tesla if you have a channel like this and if not, expect to pay much more for your repairs. I have seen this in too many videos and I know what my friend nearby me has gone through trying to fix their Tesla (not successfully without paying - but he lacks online presence).
I can’t wait until I buy a model X. What an amazing car!

@@krs6445 electricity keeps going up both at home and at the charger. Cost savings are getting lower and lower. They never lower prices, only raise them because electricity is a monopoly. Any savings is only temporary. Also the cost of the cars is significantly higher, so you have to hold onto the car much longer for that to break even. You also deal with a battery that loses range depending on weather and every year you get a little bit less range due to age. How much time is wasted waiting for the charge to complete? Nobody talks about that on road trips. 90m on avg and that's assuming you don't have to wait for a spot. I don't stop nearly that long so it would be a waste of time. So you're paying about 15K more on avg for the car to wait longer to charge and $99 a year for something that used to be included. Plenty of people have done the math. You're paying more for EV and will pay even more when CA taxes you and when the electricity rates go up at home and at the charger. BEV is already obsolete with HEV on the horizon. I'm guessing you haven't seen the news about the new engine that will make BEV crash.
