Petra, thank you for the honesty that you are going to be true to your art, wherever that takes you. I am so sorry for your times of troubles but I’m thankful you have come through them and now have the strength to carry on. I have never watched your channel before but have heard you mentioned several times by other crafters so I am here to find out what you do and hopefully enjoy it.

OMG I'm so happy too see you here. I have been thinking about you since last year. I could not remember your name and I used to say where is the art lady that I like. I'm happy to hear you and everyone is doing well and I everything you say is true and I understand well. I have been very ill. I have been going in and out of the hospital. Kimo is not working for me and they say I'm going to die. I have stage 3 overin cancer. They started me on a pill to see if it will work. I see the doctor on Friday again. I'm praying 🙏 everything goes well. I even have a bag on my kidney and a port because they can't take any more blood. I can't wait until you make more art. Many blessings Petra

Petra, thank you for sharing your story with us. I know it was hard to do, but I can see/feel that you are a very strong woman. I want to share my story with you, as you made me have an aha moment, when I listened to you this evening. I started doing resin, during COVID lockdowns. I was very depressed about not being able to go out and do my usual things. I have always loved doing “crafts”, such as polymer clay, where I was considered an artist. I lost my groove, when I got divorced after 25 years of marriage + 3 years “time served, before marriage”. We have 5 now adult children and 4 grandchildren. It was a very scary desperate time for me. Like I said, I lost my groove. I gained weight, lost my desire to be happy, lost myself. I bought a home, still settling in, then COVID hit. I had become a dog trainer, but was unable to do that due to COVID. It paralyzed me. I also have extreme anxiety. I absolutely needed to get back into art, but just couldn’t get out of my slump. When I found “Resin Art”, I started coming back to life. I followed people that made me understand it, and I became pretty good. Gave away most of it, as I didn’t know or have the self confidence to put it out there. I do not post or make videos of what I make. I also had some health issues, mostly because of the weight I gained and just wasn’t doing my normal exercise with my dogs. My only brother has prostate cancer, which he is going to beat. Surgery in May, my Mom (stepmom) has early dementia and so does my only living Aunt. I have become the “caretaker for all”, as we have no one else left. Art has gone on the back burner, temporarily. I know exactly how it feels to be the GO TO PERSON, and feeling like I can’t set boundaries to do what I need to do to be happy. Art makes me happy, I go to my happy place and don’t want to be bothered sometimes. I have so much respect for you to be able to have handled all that you have. I 💯 respect you for setting boundaries and realizing that you want to be your own Artist and not get sucked in by Viral Styles and sponsors. I hope this makes sense, I am just happy to see that you are back and going to be doing things that make you happy, without having to jump on the bandwagon. Again, I admire your strength. It is so frustrating when people assume they know what’s going on and gossip, and really dishonor you as a person. I just missed your videos popping up in KZread! When it rains, it pours, however I hope that all that you have experienced has settled down and you can get back to your Love of Creating Art, the way you want to do it. Thank you so much for sharing your story, you have truly inspired me to do better and remain happy, positive and realize that it doesn’t matter what people say or think, as long as you are happy with yourself.
