Why I Started My Self-Improvement Journey
Welcome to the Question And Animation Series Episode #1. This is the animated story of how I started my self-improvement journey. Funny enough it was a real life battle royale (before Fortnight and PUBG were even a thing) that sparked same change within me. I hope this resonates with some of you - if so then you should consider starting your self-development journey as well. Take a look at the links down below!

The moment you choose to improve your self comes just like a flash. You will never know when you need to change until the right moment. In my place, high school only takes 3 years. So true. 5-6 years ago when I was in high school I had bought into everyone I saw on social media talking about how they didn't need anyone and were happy completely by themselves. Well, being naive I bought into that and became a complete recluse. Hasn't been until now that I realized it's not cool. Us as humans are social creatures and we need relationships with other people.

When I was in high school, I only had one friend. Didn't talk to anybody that much or went out of my way to meet new people. Went straight home after school and usually stayed in homeroom during lunch. Although this had the opposite effect on me. *Everyone* in my grade knew who I was because I was the most quiet and reserved kid so I sorta became popular for being the only nobody. And I didn't know who anyone was because I never really cared. I've been out of high school for almost 6 years now and I still have old classmates approaching me, telling me we went to school together and I never remember them.

For real, I had a lonely time from the beginning until senior in high school. I was this one awkward and quiet kid. Literally I was invisible because not many people knew or recognized me even though I was in same classes as them or talked before. I was ignored so much that people just did not care. I had lunch alone all the time because people did not bother at all. I hardly had friends and only had like 6 friends from high school who know me when I started senior year. It feels so sad to realize how anti-social I was back then.

I'm also on a self-improvement journey now! I am really trying to open up to people because I'm a shy guy in real life, so I volunteered for speeches and stuff against my own will. It may be hard, but it will be all worth it once I'm used to talking in public (of course, not in the *public public*, but you get what I mean). I'm also playing less of video games and more talking to friends and meeting new people. IMO, there's nothing wrong with video games , unless you play them too much. I am also trying to be nicer and kinder to people, even if they aren't to me. That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself though, I will just try to avoid unnecessary arguments and stuff. Great video!
From time to time I come back to this video and this channel because it gives me so much hope. During high school, I was in a pharmacy technician course which is kind of course which is fulled by academically succesful students and that was the case with my class but they were succesful because they liked to cheat a lot but they were also popular kids. They often made fun of me because I was shy, kind, I had different hobbies and attitudes towards life than them and because I was an average B student. There was one arrogant guy who liked to label me and my friends as 'F students' even though we weren't. I wasn't very hard working in high school because I lost intrest in the course (I love to draw and I realised that I want to work in creative field rather than in health care field) and because I was anxious. I had problems not just in school, but with my family. I often fought with my family, because they were criticizing me too much and my sister was a huge bully towards me since I was little (she isn't anymore). All this drained my energy and I lost my will to study anything. Going to psychologist at the age of 17 was the smartest decision I have made in my life. That changed everything. Luckly, I convinced my mom enough to let me find the right one. The first time I started going to therapy I remember thinking "Okay, I found help for myself and I will give my best but I doubt this will even help me".Guess what? I listened to my psychologist, she told me what I have to do to be happy, some of the tasks I didn't like doing it but I did anyways. And what was the result? I stopped feeling suicidal and anxious and right now I am the happiest I have ever been. I stopped going to therapy because I am happy. Right now I am in college and my first year is not doing great because I am lazy, I know it's a problem and I need to improve myself so I sometimes watch this channel and it helps me. Sometimes I worry that I will stay as a loser and nobody like I was in high school but this video gives me hope I can make something out of myself. This video gives me hope that even though I am 19 and things are not going that great I can still succeed in life in my own way.

Plot twist: it wasnt just a game
I was an anxious depressed nobody throughout all high-school years I decided to change and started working on myself 3 years ago and I'm in a place (as a person) where I never ever imagined I could be in. Feels great to see myself grow so much as a person

@@yourgrandpa2539 for me it was like a fight with myself I'd push and force myself out of my comfort zone but also if you have someone to support you and try to push you it's even better. When you try to do something out of your comfort zone you feel very anxious like if it's the end of the world but after you do it it's the best feeling ever there would be times where you'd backoff and run back to your comfort zone but then feel bad about it, try to make up for it by doing something else.

Yo..... the crazy thing is I’m in my senior year of high school now and I just turned 17. Everything this man is saying he wasted his time on, even down to his routine and how he moved in high school. Is exactly like me. I’ve been blessed to even see this channel and video and from this point on I’m going to start making a difference in my life. Thank you for the raw inspiration
Thank you for giving me more motivation to stick to my development track, and very well done on yours :) The effort is so noticeable

At first impulses hit hard. With persistence and discipline, impulses lose power over you. I thank my past for the indulgence in drugs and impulsive mistakes, because now I have through experience a personal contrast as to who I want to become. Rather than that of my former self. Many of us are stuck regretting our darkest selves, when in fact that very darkness can bring about the light within us if we work to understand our inner nature. Mind: Visualize the path. Body: Take necessary action. Spirit: Facilitate positive outcomes of the mind and body through emotional will-power. Think, feel, do. Hope this helps friend.

Your subconscience knows better, via intuition. When intuition subtly speaks, listen. Then you feel the devil and angel effect of the conscious vs subconscious battling over your impulse to make a decision. Think on that, and choose the one which will steer you towards your ideal future self which you're working hard to become.

I am 25 now and i have one friend and most people don't know who i am, but i am happy with it, i am used to it. I will focus on my work moving forward, it's no big deal. People make me tired anyway, conversations, watching what i say so i won't hurt anybody, being home alone is the best thing ever.

I get you, but in my experience, you could be lying to yourself. See, just a few years ago, I was in a similar situation. I didn’t like socialising when it wasn’t necessary, only had one friend that was drifting away, and I just took it lying down. I told myself the same exact things you are/were so I could justify my own stagnation. I told myself these thing, but in reality, I didn’t like the person I was. I was lonely, sad and a shell of what I could be. I would like I think I’m improving since then. I’ve been going to more outings, met new people, just stuff like that. And all in all, I feel a lot happier than I was. I’ve got multiple friends now, I’m trying to fix my sleep and eating habits, but in general, I just feel better about myself. It’s a long journey, and was, and still is hard sometimes, but I feel like its coming along. (Please don’t hate, I’m just giving you my opinion based off of my own experience. Just trying to help. Thank you)

@@raafatazir7527 Depending on the task, give yourself a reason to do the task your procrastinating on. Maybe you so not actually see the benifet of doing the task, or perhaps you do not see the downsides with the failure to complete your goals. Think for yourself that in 5 month 5 years would you be better off not completing the task or putting in the extra work. Find different ways to try to reach whatever you work towards. This doesn't only apply to procrastination but helps motivate you to build other habits and build better discipline.
