It’s funny, I grew up in Pogradec. Now I found my second home in Virginia, USA. 🇺🇸 Had my best time in Pogradec during my highschool. Most of my Highschool best buddies are in USA and Germany. We all love the idea of getting back together and start a textile manufacturing business in Pogradec so we can create some jobs and find an excuse to come back and feel like kids again.

I am a little jealous...tried a couple of things in Albania but nothing has worked out yet. Your videos do manage to show the ordinary side of Albania. Less sensational but realistic and respectful. Love it and wish you well

Best way to learn cool hidden gems in Albanian cities and towns is to make some local friends first. They know all the cool spots. In cities like Pogradec, the fun is indoors during the winter. People gather in coffee shops and spend time together. They organize house parties, join reading clubs, hike etc. Summer is more lively because of much more tourists.

Glad to see you well back to Albania. Good idea of your t-shirt business. Friendly suggestion Albania's map on the back you may want to make different sizes not just that small size and some can write Albania inside the map. I plan to come to Albania this summer and hopefully will make it to Pogradec and buy a couple of your t-shirts. That splash on the lake priceless. Know that feeling as I've done it too. Don't forget to buy that fishing gear and go fishing sometimes as it is very relaxing and fun experience. Good luck kid.

@@JamesLeithart It's as easy as casting that line from the rod. You will need though to go with a Pogradecar fisherman for a couple of times and he will help you master fishing. No rocket science. Where do you plan to sell them? Tirane?

They are shipped anywhere in Albania. I’m just not the one that does the fulfillment. I have a print partner that does that. Or if people in the US want one they can order on the website.

I enjoyed your video as usual. Yet, I seemed to have missed the answer to the caption. I always wondered what drew you to Albania specifically, and why you decided to make it your home. Growing up, we had a few Albanian friends, and a childhood contemporary decided to return to his motherland after marriage many years ago to assist local congregations of our faith. I personally always found travel enthralling in even the simplest detail. Taking up residence in another country must be a very special experience, though.

Yes Rubik where I grow up and have a lot of memories in that beautiful church. We were so silly in the communist days we used to destroy all the beautiful pictures on the walls of the church ⛪️...Shame really..But that's how much we knew them days

i don't know. depends on the city and the apartment.

I have to give USA 20 more years and go back to Kosovo. I miss my place where I was born and grew up.

very nice video, but Albania, the most beautiful country in the region and wider, suffers from massive depopulation. In Tirana only 50% of residents remain, including newcomers & students
