Renovating a New House in Albania! 🇦🇱

It’s early spring here in Pogradec, which means that there are a lot of flowers poking up from the green grass and out of the brown branches. As I tried to spend time taking in the warm weather and the fresh colors around me, I tried to tackle something totally new to me; baking sourdough. And in between folding sessions of the dough, i watched a ton of college basketball.
My friend Tommy has recently bought a house about 45 minutes away from Pogradec. He’s working on refurbishing it a bit and told me I should drop by to hang out, and possibly help. So one day I drove over there, got a tour around the property, and handed Tommy tools while he was productive. Both on his house and on a small fix on my van.
And to top it all off, I visited Sam’s permaculture farm and then went into the mountains with some guys to cook lunch and eat with a view.

Welcome in Albania mate. Albania has advantages such of having a nature of miracle and a lot of history. Korça is mostly a guest town for citizens of the busy cities in Albania and else. Hoping that the economy will grow more those years especially with the tourism and infrastructure, that will make your life more unique and connected. Good luck! 🇦🇱🇪🇺❤

What an amazing house find! We can't wait to get back to Albania! We've spent almost two years there in Vlore in 2020, and Tirana in 2023. Headed to South America next though!

Another great video of your life in Albania. Sourdough bread looked yummy. When it comes to butter don't buy in supermarket. Ask locals where you can find butter from 'baxho." It's the best there is unless the villager has mixed it with something else which unfortunately happens a lot now there. Haha that worm is great for fishing. I could see your soccer skills and I'd say if you keep playing you will get better. One important tip: when you have a chance to shoot for a goal always take a quick glimpse at the goal before shooting so you have a greater chance of scoring.

Great video! Love the sourdough. I recently learned, to tell if bread/brownies/other baked items is done, is to check the temperature. Should be 212°F and it's done. Mine kept coming out gummy

Hi james hello from london. Honestly I’m jealous for your life style I’m Albanian but after 29 years in uk my dream is leaving the life free from poisoning life style cities offer. Keep going body must of people are jealous of your life style me included even though I’m financially really in good state but believe me I envy your life style. Hopefully soon I will throw everything and enjoy life instead of everything I used to believe. Simplicity and nature money can’t buy. Cheers

As an Albanian-American I'm pleasantly surprised you guys have chosen Albania as a home-base! I've been visiting Tirana for a couple years now and I'm seeing many foreigners permanently living in the country. I'm not sure why Albania but it's pretty cool to see!
