Yes, I’m moving out of the country. I never wanted to live full-time in the US, but I had relationships, then kids and got stuck. If I knew people who looked like me would be overseas, I would have moved in a heartbeat, while my girls were babies. I’m in my fifties, my kids are grown, I’m getting my affairs in order to cross the ocean!

Bangkok is the most visited city on earth for a reason - the people, food, culture, vibrancy etc. Just like you described. It's an exciting place, plus it is affordable. It is the best hub to travel around Asia from Tokyo to Dubai. You're right in the middle of the action.

I haven’t lived outside of the country since I was in the military years ago. There were a few things that stuck in my mind from my time in Seoul… The peace. The cost of living. The culture and natural landscapes. And how friendly, pleasant, and genuinely helpful people were… Coming from New Jersey, it took a minute for me to let my guard down and accept all of the things stated above. Especially people being nice and helpful without any negative motives.

Living outside the box can be a mid blowing experience. I have been blessed with that nomadic gene. The first time I left home was a move to Chicago, then after that the world has been my oyster. I am so thankful to be able to say, been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

I share your love for Bangkok. And you're so right about the people. They are passive, polite and tolerant. Even though they may not be rich they are self respecting dignified people. I am preparing myself to return to Bangkok. I miss it already.

Im working on something and WHEN (not if) it takes off i do believe I'd like to spend a little time (to start) in Thailand. Visiting other countries last year and being in a happier environment really made a huge difference on my mental health. I can definitely attest to the environment making a difference.

Yes, I have thought about it. Not a day pass without it crossing my mind. You are absolutely correct about what your environment does to you and why it's important to be in a place that nourishes your soul. You look so happy and relieved. I'm glad you found a place that gives you that energy. I am where you were (mentally) in one of your last videos before you made that leap. Where you couldn't put your finger on it, but obviously, you knew you had to change something. Thanks for sharing and being an inspiration. I have lived in another country and it was awesome. I think that the States is just not open to changing for the better of its residents when it comes down to it. Like making public transportation more accessible for all would help the economy not harm it and yet we have 2 or 3 good subway systems even seeing how BIG this country is. Then there is the safety that you have to worry about if you need to or choose to take the public transport here. What is hard about saying “ hey we are going to take some of those tax dollars and turn sections of the train into areas for women and children only”? But anyways, I lived in South Korea. The metro system and just public transport overall is very good. It’s easy to get used to. I have thought about living in Thailand. I visited Chiang Mai and it was so amazing! Maybe one day. I’m working on creating a more mobile life, if that makes sense. Great video!

Hello there..first time sub..I totally agreed with with most of what you said..but the one I didn't was taking motorbike across BKK..it a big no to me..yes it quick. It can weave past heavy traffic easily and not get caught in stand still. BTS or MRT is much better way to get around BKK.also I get nervous on motorbike..

The only Lola I like is my fur baby. The other Lola appears bourgeois. I am enjoying Antoinette in Bangkok, your reasoning makes sense.

AWESOME... great reasons 🥰the low cost of living that doesn't exclude comfort would be number one on my list too☺️, never considered any country where as it would be difficult for me not to speak their native language, I hate getting my nails done and the Asians are speaking in their native language, annoys the hell out of me😂
