As a longtime farang expat in Thailand I heartily agree with the advice to learn to speak Thai. This goes a long way. But I would recommend avoiding expat groups unless you know someone well in the group. There are a lot of unsavory expats that you wouldn’t want to associate with unless you’re unsavory yourself. 😀
Great information and thank you!
Thank you about travelling advice and tips Sara!

Would you do a video about Thailand taxes for non-Thai retirees ? Specifically, does Thailand tax passive retirement income (dividends) from investments, IRA's or Social Security if you enter the country on a Retirement visa ? A lot of KZread video's either do not mention taxes or briefly mentions Thailand taxes for a working visa. As a U.S. citizen, I still have to pay U.S. taxes on my retirement income regardless of which country I live in and if Thailand also taxes that same income, maybe it is not that inexpensive to live in Thailand. ☹
Love the video, keep up the good work

1:22 it is, but it isn't. If it's locally produced, it's cheaper. If it's internationally imported such as a laptop, it is not cheap.
Sawadee Khrap Sara Sa bai-di mai Kop khun khrap for making your informative video. For first time or even second time travellers to beautiful Thailand I think this has been a very good and very well presented Sara. When you are looking and listening to such a stunningly beautiful Thai Lady this video has to me been most enjoyable. I would love to travel all over Thailand with you Sara as my new friend and companion to visit many of your countries wonderful scenic beaches, mountains, to enjoy all of the fantastic Thai cuisine and other foods from all over the world. Thailand has dishes to suit everyone's taste buds whether eating street food like the best BBQ Charcoal grilled chicken Satay with Thai authentic Peanut Satay dipping sauce, or Thai Red Chicken Coconut Curry with western style boiled potatoes and rice, or Japanese, Korean dishes, or fresh seafood crab, scallops, lobster or many different types of fish we will be spoiled for choice. Sara now that you are working at The Thaiger would you get any time off to really enjoy life? Or maybe you could still travel around Thailand. Send in new vlogs of daily news reports live from different locations? and enjoy a good work life balance? What do you think? LOL.
😄 Thank you, Sara.

Being close in proximity to The Thaiger is the primary reason to move to Thailand Okay, food and the frieliest people on earth are the top reasons.
Thanks for the medical advice!😳
Go to the second floor of the MBK in Bangkok where intellectual property rights go completely out the window.
i found the marriage visa a simple process as long as you have the novella of paperwork and cash in the bank the immigration police were friendly and had lunch at our house i was asking for permission to stay in their country and a attitude of respect and appreciation goes a long way if you wanted to come to my country canada…it would be alot more complicated

An inaccurate presentation of life in Thailand for a foreigner. It's in tune as a 1-2 week holiday but not if living here. Thats why travellers rave about a short stay trip but when actually living here long term, it's nothing as you'd have anyone believe. Land of smiles... BaHahahahahaha.. Nothing further than the truth..

How many Thai insurance companies went bankrupted due to COVID-19 coverage, but now they want you pay over $1,000.00+ per year and you hoping they will stay in business and be able to pay when you need them. No guarantee. Must have 4 million THB coverage for medical + 800 THB in the bank account (WHAT?). It's total BS! To make it short, unless you have over $500,000.00 USD don't bother considering retiring here.
You lost me on the Covid vaccine...Never have, never will...😡
