I came for my fascination of this camera that I keep passing on being a m4/3 shooter but stayed for the humor that gave me a good chuckle.

@@adamblack9837 Panasonic G9 and EM5 mark 3. I have several lenses but it’s almost always those two cameras with my Olympus 35mm equivalent 1.2 and Leica 50mm equivalent 1.4

I think this camera might actually make sense for people who aren't in the Fuji X ecosystem with interchangeable lens bodies. I have a Sony A7C and a Ricoh GR III as my other modern digital cameras so the X100V offers a nice change of pace from those two. Having all the manual dials and whatnot is a uniquely different shooting experience to the rather ho-hum modern camera ergonomics of the Sony/Ricoh, but if you're already shooting with another Fuji that has all those tactile features I'm sure it would kind of lose its luster (especially for the price). Either way, I enjoyed the video. Hope whatever you decide on works out for ya!

Like James, I also have a Sony A7Riii and a Ricoh GR IIIx... as well as the X100V. I had a GR III back in 2021 and it fell out of my bag and broke. I had been without it since, and got the X100V to replace it. But, I miss the small power of the GR, so got another one. Now I am debating selling the X100V.... however it offers a totally different experience, like you said. And it is the only Fuji camera I have. Just not sure I need it since the GRIIIx is 40mm and the X100V is 35mm. probably do not need both, and I prefer the smaller GR to throw in my pocket over the X100V

I wonder I think Fuji has made a good job of the X100v you can strive all your life for perfection but will you ever get it I think probably not! Once again I liked your video did make me laugh! Thank you.

deadpan and dead-on, great presentation mate, like it lots. I'm torn between Sony 7riv because I love the res, but I've JUST received xt4 and the images seduce me for whole other reason. you and Roman made me do it, I told the wife, but I still had to sleep on the couch 2 nights,

I know what you mean about the resolution. I’ve just got the Fuji GFX 50R, a 50mp sensor and I love the detail it picks up. You can crop in way further. Glad you’re liking the XT4. Welcome to the club! I watch Roman’s stuff myself. He’s a very under-appreciate, very skilled photographer.

I subscribed just for the humor. I shoot Sony but I'm always interested to learn about other systems, and I'm intrigued by Fuji. This video made me laugh, thank you!

Sony have some excellent cameras. Used to shoot the A7 series. But I can’t see myself turning away from Fuji any time soon. I’m not a brand loyalist but these cameras just do everything I want them to do.

I have just let my X100F go... in the end the changeable lens system won out. My XT-4 and XT-3 are my standard kit, now and I am just trying to get rid of my XT-30.

This is what’s currently swaying me too. I love my XT4 and I’ve just bought a GFX so I wonder if using the XT4 with the kit lens for b roll would be a better option for when I’m shooting with the GFX.

This camera is so ridiculously over hyped. There are a lot of well deserved praise for this camera, but way little about negatives. 1. Autofocus is plain bad and becomes unreliable on smaller F-stops like F5,6 and down. 2. Lens is soft towards the edges, and fairly soft on F2 3. Diffraction kicks in at F7. 1 4. Xtrans sensor: more noise and loss of detail while raising shadows then a Bayer sensor (even in capture one) 5. Jpegs are soft and smeary looking. You need to set noise reduction to negative 4 (and or use film grain to camouflage its short coming) 6. Its ISO is about on stop worse then the Sony A73 and Leica m10, meaning I need to bump the x-100v ISO to 3200 to get same shutter speed as iso 1600 on m10 and A73 everything else is equivale, 35 mm, F2 and so on 7. The focus select switch on the side to switch between focus mode is way to flimsy ! Try getting it from "M" or "S" to "C" in 1 go. Good luck, u end up fiddling around and ending up in single or manual more then half of the time. It's just bad. 7. It's gets warm when in use. You never burn your hand or anything, but it's get war

Yes that's a tough one. I bought an X100s back in the day, and still have it but don't use it much. I'd love a 100v, but only when those lottery numbers hit. Which should be any day now....

You absolutely do not need the V if you have any of the previous versions, unless you do some professional work and want the best from this specific series.

Do your x100v tend to warm?

I little but I only record snippets of 4k footage with it for b roll. Doesn’t get hot at all for me whilst shooting photos.

Ah yes, gear……. I have the 100V. It is very very fine. But sadly 35mm equiv is a very limiting angle of view, for me at least. I much prefer 28mm equiv. So what I want is an XE5. With the fold down screen. With the ISO and shutter speed dial. And with the 100V SCM toggle switch instead of the cuddly front switch. I was so disappointed with the XE4. I guess I am also saying I want an XPro4 that is smaller than the XPro3 and has IBIS. Olympus has had superb IBIS for a long time. Hopefully an interchangeable lens with ibis camera that is in every other respect like the 100V will come along. The Olympus Pen F was very close but lacked analog controls Fun video

Only if you have to, there are cameras that are better from tech side but for the art of photography slowly . the camera is a beast thought best of luck...

Sono due macchine diverse una ad obbiettivo fisso , tropicalizzata con mirino ibrido , l"altra è piu" versatile ma non è tropicalizzata .

You should of course sell your x100v. No need to have a camera you don't like to use. Or you don't understand. Stay with Sony. Much faster AF. More "computer feel" etc. The manual old style handling on x100v and Leica M, is not for everyone. Just move on and use the camera that makes you want to take photographs.

Fuji cameras are way over-hyped by their fanboys. I also agree with the issues with autofocus. I had a X-T2 day-loaner a few years back and I had a number of issues with it; over-heats too quickly and awful AF. I ended up buying an Oly OM-10ii and could not be happier.

You are fuckin hilarious. I love this camera but it doesn’t get a ton of use in comparison to my R6ii and film cameras. Part of me wants to keep it for sentimental and travel reasons but also the asking price for them now is through the roof🫠🫠🫠

I felt the same way. I didn't want to get rid of mine but I couldn't justify keeping it when I wasn't using it as much as I should. I've since sold it and bought the GFX 50R instead and I'm really glad I did. Take the money while you can get it I say.
