Stephen A., You have a right to respond. It is "How" you are responding that is the negative in this situation. Your "Love" for Ms. Mcnutt in this situation is caustic. You maybe "Honest" in your response but you are acidic in your comments. Everyone is human. In some arenas it needs to be measured to give s positive effect.

Caitlin Clark hit Chennedy in the face and also hit her in the back of the head. Look at the clip before the foul, under the basket. . that explains Chenney calling her a b"tch as she ran and caught up with Clark. No one is isolating the tape to see Caitlin's actions and targeting . . That is why there is not support for her. The press will not make the players (team mates) respect her. . There is a reason her teammates did not go to help her up on ANY time Caitlin flopped and whined.

That said I did not like the way he handled the Kyrie situation but as of late although he hasn’t apologized he has admitted/owned up to his wrongdoing in the matter. I just subscribed to this channel. I like this SAS, this the one I remember growing up in Philly. This is a more raw/uncut/authentic version of SAS and I’m here for it. Glad he & Kyrie attempted to patch things up. We need more unity amongst us!

Now with CC in the WNBA its becoming more interesting to people so yeah they'll likely talk more about it. All i know is i dont wanna hear none of these women complain about pay. Yes compete with her and go out to play better than her but come on with the jealousy. She's setting the market like Stephen A said. You can compete and still ride the gravy train.

Stephen A. stated nothing but facts. But what stood out the most to me is what he said about the lack of women supporting the WNBA. If women support it, it will prosper. Something else that people missed is when he brought up diversity and the WNBA players that he brought to First Take, that completely destroyed Monica McNutt’s argument. Who better to promote the WNBA than WNBA players? And he gave them one of, if not the most marketable platforms in sports media to do so. The fact that she said that on his show while being a part of his show is comical and sad. That’s why the WNBA is not as popular as they could be. They don’t even know how to market themselves, so how can you expect someone else to.

The understanding that I came away with it is that, Monica McNutt was basically saying that Stephen A and Shannon Sharpe should not broad-brush the entire WNBA with the "jealousy" claim or that Chennedy Carter represents every player with her cheap shot. Not every player in the WNBA is hating on Caitlin Clark. And I am of the opinion that Caitlin Clark alone is not responsible for the increased popularity and support of women's basketball or the WNBA.

If Caitlin Clark had gone to UConn we would probably barely know her. Relatively speaking nobody watched UConn’s loaded all-star teams because the only story was how much they’d win by. We’ll never know if any one of those players could’ve carried a team to 2 finals. It ain’t hard to figure out why CC is so much more compelling. Her poise and intelligence just add to it. In this age of the NCAA transfer portal it was great to see a real student/athlete do what she did

SAS I value your opinion on this. I do believe in this case two people can be right. M&M is also right. You continued to reference how many ladies you have contributed to us now knowing and seeing on TV. M&M's comment was not about that. Her comment was directed towards YOU and you having a platform where you could have done more to bring exposure to the WNBA. Had you perhaps given more time to the WNBA on your show perhaps that might have helped to also bring light to the league is what I believe M&M is saying. I do believe you have helped many women by bringing them to FirstTake, but that was not M&M's point on your show.

Was First Take talking about WNBA 3 years ago? No but thats not the point Stephen A was making. He was saying that First Take talked about the WNBA more than any other sports show at that time which is actually a fact. First Take didnt talk WNBA much but they had moments when they would bring up WNBA segments here and there aside from shows who wouldnt bring it up at all. Thats what he was trying to say. The interest for the W have not been there for these shows to talk about it. Which is why a lot of these shows dont talk about other sports like Hockey, Tennis and various others. They dont draw much ratings. Hockey is starting to grow more however

Bird put ISU, Terre Haute, hell even French Lick Indiana on the map! Bird and his boys would come to the rec center and run everybody off the court!!! I’m from Gary Indiana and there was this one particular basketball court where guys all over Northwest Indiana would come and play! Like Ruckers’ in New York! It didn’t matter if you were black, white or a martian, if you could ball that was the only thing that mattered! Yes, that how much respect we had for the hoopers back in my day. I believe Caitlin will be alright. If you are a fearless competitor and love the game, you will get that respect! Peace y’all!!

They would say the NBA is 75% black, but a white man is the best player in the league! Isiah Thomas and Dennis Rodman even spoke out against the preferential treatment and highlighting of Larry Bird above other great players at the time. Caitlin and Angel can't escape the racial tension, it's followed them from NCAA to the WNBA
