Your perspective is accurate in which I am in complete agreement. I am well travelled and have returned to Canada pre-pandemic. I do not like what I’m seeing and am in a strategic holding pattern momentarily. Collectively we all get to experience a brave new world and at a world-wide level. The past few years have revealed systemic cracks which will continue to accelerate. Kudos to you for putting your thoughts out there. ❤

I hear ya. Personally, I blame the sheep for the stupidity that has been going on here for the last 3 years. A country with this many sheep/virtue signallers has a dark future, for sure.

Same feeling, first reason to leave is the weather. I will come back only to visit when is not winter. I had accidents on the snow the first 4 years so no thank you, I am not safe in winter here. I am in my 30s, I cannot survive later here :(

Yes I know me too it’s not easy to live here it’s hard to convey this to a Canadian that’s born here and doesn’t know any different! Summers are great as long as there is no smoke 🙄 !! Thanks for commenting much appreciated!!

expensive travel put an end to my traveling days since moving to canada. if you come here ‘oh the places you won’t go…’. driving is the only mode of transport, 5 days drive to Vancouver but work vacations here only 15 days a year. we are stuck!

Absolutely. I prefer to vacation in Cuba or Mexico or Costa Rica than Canada. Airbnb's here cost $250 to $300 per day, and the hosts while polite and receptive mostly keep to themselves. In contrast to Airbnb host families in Latin America who are so much friendlier and warm and even provide home-cooked meals at throwaway prices. Thanks but no thanks. I'll stick to LatAm.

I lived in Calgary for two years on a work visa, plus l have family in Medicine Hat/Saskatchewan and surrounding places. I enjoyed being there but don't regret coming back to the UK. However, l have holidayed in Portugal since 2009 and I'm now winding down to retire in Portugal. Love the Algarve but might live in the North, Porto side. I went to Aljezur in 2009 which was the first time in Portugal and l fell in love with the place. Been to various parts and it never disappoints me. Will you be remaining in Portugal? There's no doubt about it, Canada is a beautiful Country but it's not where l want to be. I nearly stayed for good.

Nice Vid. Seems like a good direction as everyone is suffering in CA. Digital Nomads I know in Thailand are living it up - Internet Bill for 1Gb Service (Unlimited) is $12/mo plus a 2 Bdrm House for $800/month thats 8 min drive from a luxury beach - granted political and some law enforcement scandals/corruption - which people used to say would never happen in CA, but now seems like everywhere - but merits of 1st World lately been overshadowed by the basics: the quest for healthy living (food), affordable living (lower rent/health costs/travel fees), which Expats in TH have said in 2023 are all very reasonable if not higher-quality, safe and BETTER than what's available in CA...and its Summer year 'round if you don't mind the heat.

Thanks for the suggestion I had thought about Thailand . I have been there about 28 years ago lol The heat /humidity would definitely be a problem. I’m probably end up in Europe somewhere like Portugal as I’m a Swiss citizen. But first travel before I will settle down somewhere! Thanks for commenting it’s much appreciated!!

Thanks for your share ... I am 47 yo , I was considering years ago to live in Canada , I have now 2 young kids and hearing the talks of many canadians , I think I am living in not too bad condition here in Bulgaria as also as expat , we can afford everything almost . My concerns there were : the time trip , everything is far away if you want to see your parents in Europe (gd kids visit ) then you are also bit fucked , you need most probably 2 cars because nothing is almost at next door , real estate is one of the most expensive in the world , and the fact there is 6 months of cold weather is killing bit the mood , also some of my friends told me that its quite community country : indians with indians , French with French etc ... The flow of emigrants dumps also the wage from what I understood and sorry if I am straight but surrounded by too much people from "all over the world" is not for me anymore. I lived in Paris for 15 years and that was enough ... The advantage to stay in Europe is all Europeans countries can be reached in 2 h of plane and we have more holidays / diversity in term of cultures. I guess that you will be back to Switzerland. We always think that we should emigrate coz of the kids , I would say we need to provide them decent education and conditions but there is no point I think to sacrifice his own life when you see that also your kids can fuck up everything in short time by doing the wrong choice anywhere with anyone. Except if we live in country with war or in big trouble , most of European countries can offer good condition to everyone.

Well I’m not going to live in Switzerland I’m leaning towards Portugal as I’m explaining in the next video after that one. I think Canada is great country just to big, cold and getting to experience for me to live. Mind you my kids will live here so I have to travel to see them.

Thank you for your video. I'm surrounded by people who only understand, worship, and practice childish games of win/lose to structure their every affair with as civilized, sane, wise. and honorable. If these poor people had the ability to work together in respect, dignity, and diplomacy for the greater good, the highest potential, the holy and divine Win/Win, they would be doing so now and they wouldn't be a population of brainwashed "for profit" economic slaves. The highest potential of the poor perverted people of the win/lose mentality is everyone loses. AKA, Hell on earth. Hot enough for you? I'm staying just to witness the collapse of a dismal and failed human experiment. Besides as a full time resident in the gateless, guard-less prison of despair I call the Gulag of Poverty, I don't really have a choice do I? So I work on the Ways of the Win/Win and the Economics of Time to replace this celebration of self inflicted retardation we call civilization. Anywho, good luck! But take it from me, there is no geographical cure for what ails us and at least here I'm very familiar with the kinds of perverted humans I have to deal with. Have a great one!
