I am doing the opposite. I started at Cambridge but think I will be at BYUH this fall. It’s between provo and Hawaii. I am still conflicted on which one to choose they both have good aspects

You are going to enjoy Utah! If you find a career that you enjoy and truly Love! It is like never working a day! When I became a firefighter o Loved the job so much that even though it was the toughest thing I had ever done, it never seemed like work to me! Enjoy what you do, enjoy life! Stay close to God and everything else is like walking on silk, nice and smooth!

Thinking of doing graphic design there, what were your thoughts about the program? What did you like? What didnt you like?

So I did all of the pre-req courses for graphic design but never applied to getting in to the ACTUAL program because I transferred. However, what I did like was that the classes were typically smaller which allowed for the professors to be more involved with every project you do. Jacob Jackson was one of the faculty members and he's really great to get to know. Anna McConnell and Robert McConnell are also great. To this day I still refer to some of the textbooks they have you get for those courses. On the other hand, because graphic design is essentially an art program, a lot of the feedback comes from your peers, which is great because you get a lot of different perspectives. But something that I noticed was a lot of people were almost 'afraid' to hurt your feelings with their feedback on your projects, so a lot of the criticism I got for my work was pretty surface level and didn't really make me feel like I was improving much. That could have also just been my perspective. Regardless, BYU - Hawaii is a great experience! I even got nostalgic reflecting on it just now because I enjoyed it a ton

BYU Provo is awesome!! Hawaii gets very monotonous after two years. Island fever is real.

Depending on your personality and economics. I studied at BYUHC 3 years, finished the degree and I enjoyed the beach, the difference from growing up in the mountains. Brandon comes across to me as very dramatic as if you are at this school or other school someone is going to die. NOT at all. Bill Gates, Zuckerberg, etc never finished college. If your goal is to be millionaire start a business. If your passion is teaching low pay but fulfilling and making a difference then become a teacher. If your goal is to be and work in front of people, start your own band and call it The Hienas. The good thing being away from home and comfort is that any school like BYUHC is not for ever. Time flies and you are done and move on onto other things.
