Enjoying the challenge and the beauty in being alone here at the cabin- it’s been a looooong 10 days without Crystal but this time was special and I’m glad I could bring you all along through this video. I tried to capture all the feelings of being alone in the wilderness, like how lonely and rewarding the remote woods can be at the same time.

Oh my beautiful daughter Jazmyn, I have no words to express how proud I am of you. This vlog really showcased who you are and your personality shone thru brightly as it always does. Thank you for sharing this with me. It goes through one’s mind why couples sometimes vacation separate from each other but you girls are such a great example of trust and freedom and love within a relationship. It’s so important to sometimes have our own experiences, to maintain close friendships and have healthy fun adventures with other people in our lives. It’s also so healthy to have some autonomy and spend time just with ourselves. My husband I have separate guys and girl trips a couple times a year and some people find it so strange, but we find it so rewarding. You ladies have such a rare and beautiful connection and we love celebrating that with you ❤️

You can get hay bails and put them around the base of the cabin. In the spring you can use them for other uses. Water at outhouse, or you can put a drain hose at the top of the barrel that way you wouldn’t have to move all your work.

Here I am with some skillsaw safety tips (60 years worth). You are making beautiful progress and I would like to continue seeing that without any accidents. Any time you decide to use the skillsaw, set the depth of cut properly. Only the minimum depth should be used that will complete your cut. There are a few good reasons for that. First and formost is your safety. Use the skillsaw long enough and you will cut yourself. The less blade the is through the cut the smaller the cut to your finger will be. Secondly the blade guard will retract in a more cooperative manner with a minimum cut depth. Lastly is blade life. The cooler the blade runs the longer it will last. With a minimum depth of cut you also get a maximum of cooling. Good luck, keep up the good works and don't stop the beautiful videos.

Hi. me as a guy from Norway and that you have bought a Jøtul oven from Norway.. So I am reasonably sure that it should be fired in the following way.. Put some larger logs in the oven first, cross once more with slightly thinner logs. Fire up on top of this with thin dry wood.. It will burn longer, and you will save wood:) It is probably in the user manual. Good luck with a really good oven in the winter cold.

These wood stoves look great and they will certainly make the winter so much easier for the four of you. And you did the best in those two weeks without Crystal. Keeping yourself busy makes time go by a little bit faster. Can't wait to see the next vlog - maybe with the electric installation 😉 Greetings from Germany.

Great episode. You did a great job putting it together and the new stoves will be awesome. But, what I am always impressed by is your relationship. It's great to see two people who obviously love each other and work to build their future together. It's that positive energy that makes your channel great. 👍

Jasmine you have been remarkable. you had the heaters installed, you made the water supplies frost protected, you chopped all that firewood and you found time to relax, I know it isn't the same without Crystal there but you managed superbly

Beautiful Jazmyn, I'm loving seeing the wood stoves installed and all the work you accomplished to ready your home for the coming winter!! You definitely make sawing and building boxes look like child's play with how experienced you have become. All it takes is finding the square! LOL!! Your self discipline to take care of things that must be done and not just pine away, missing Crystal was very admirable! And your artwork for her home coming was just the best!! When you and Crystal are apart, it always reminds me .... The very best thing about being apart from your true love is definitely the moment you are together again!!! 💞

Jaz, I resonate so much with your aura, presence, and being. I love Crys to death and she reminds me of my partner, but I just wanted you to know how touching and life-giving it is to watch you be unapologetically you. Being myself and feeling life I have to be a different version of myself based on my current surroundings is something I've always struggled with. It is absolutely beautiful to watch you just be you and complete things solo because your process is just 110% Jaz. Thank you 💚

Love the channel thank you both! Suggestion for your water butt, instead of moving the butt and extending the gutter it may be simpler to set an overflow pipe into the butt at the high water level and let the water flow down a short length of hose pipe into the woods.

Instead of relocating the whole rain barrel system for your outhouse sink, add an overflow connection 3/4 of the volume of the barrel with a long hose that leads out to the forest. That way you control overflow and you don’t have to move your entire system.

My wife and I have a standard 3 bedroom 2 bath home with an oil furnace but we have a wood stove insert in the downstairs fireplace, and wood heat is like no other. Once the entire chimney stack is warm it warms the whole house. It dries everything out, and just feels so cozy. We also find the fireplace very handy when the power goes out. We do have a small generator that we use to run the blower. I watch every Sunday and am constantly amazed what you have accomplished in only a year!

When you know your other 1/2 is going away it does bring on separation anxiety. Then you slowly adjust back to you. Love that you said you enjoyed your task doing them alone. How empowering it was. Key is keeping that balance . It brings you into a peaceful calm and your heart and mind is still with Crystal. Sharing the same moon 🌙 no matter where you are is soothing your souls . Your excitement leading up to seeing her again was felt . Your both authentic people and soul mates..Thank you
