I am seeing this two years after the fact but I wanted to say how excited I get when I meet fellow believers in this business. I haven’t been in the company long and I haven’t gotten my business off the ground yet but my goal is that when I retire from my other life that I can make my love for Stampin up become a success. I am part of stamping up as a hobby, just for fun! You happen to show up on my feed, I believe nothing happens by accident and I'm so very glad you did show up. Your journey parallels my journey but with different results. My husband also lost his job and my business became the sole provider for the family.... I also homeschool children in the list goes on and on. The difference was I chose to walk away from my profession and to start a different one, one that absolutely thrills me. If all these things didn't happen I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today. We both gave up everything and went before our Lord and gave him our brokenness and exhaustion..... I'm so glad the both of us went through these things and I'm thrilled that you shared it for others to see.

Holy frickin cow!!! I have never been to your channel before but it popped up and I started watching it. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! You HAVE been through soooo much! I wish you and your family the very best! Thank you for sharing what you went through and how you’re still coping and how God is still seeing you through. Wow! You’ve had a LOT! I’m 65, no kids, hubs and I are semi-retired doing what we love. But with everything going on, I have, like millions of others in this country, felt the stress, the uncertainty, the changes, the adapting to changes, and even grieved with so many people that I never met…never saw in person, deal with endings and beginnings of life events that they never saw coming. I can tell you that the YT community that I am a part of, (I’m an artist, paper crafter and vintage reseller) just by watching, posting comments and sharing my own experiences or knowledge and receiving so much by what others share, has brought more comfort to me at this difficult time than I could have ever imagined. The back and forth interaction with YT channel hosts and sharing thoughts with others or to give a word of encouragement or listen to a word of encouragement or just to tell someone that you’ll pray for them…or just send up a quick prayer. It really has been and continues to be an amazing experience. I am very concerned about our country right now and pray so hard that this great divide can be resolved one day soon. I’ll finish with this one last thought.: I was listening to the news yesterday, which can be a stressful thing in itself. And the well-known saying…”the truth will set us free” came to mind. And then I thought, well Dr. King said that in one of his famous speeches. Well, he did make it more well-known, but the saying didn’t originate with him, and of course he acknowledged this too. And many well-known people have uttered those incredible words, or variations of it. But I felt sort of “duh.” Even with growing up in church, years of Sunday School…and while I’m no Bible scholar, I’m pretty good on remembering important and “famous” scriptures., but I didn’t remember the “author” of this profound scripture that has meaning and inescapable impact in every aspect of Christian faith and even secular life. So I looked it up and of course as I’m sure many already know, it came from the Bible, the New Testament, and Jesus said it! “Jesus said (to those who believed Him), “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 31-32 ❤️

Oh sister! Online communities and my Getting Crafty Stampers and team Getting Crafty Family has been the support and encouragement when times are tough. God wove our lives together for a reason. Oh my goodness my friend! My father died April 22, 2008 the day after my birthday. I always like to think of spring as new life and freedom from pain and suffering that he went through with his cancer. I pray that you are strengthened and bolster during the season. God met me with my SU and these lock downs. I’m grateful we met. Blessings.

I hope we meet one day. I just celebrated 20 years as a Stampin’Up! Demonstrator. During this time raised my seven children, homeschooled them all, cared for my MIL 24/7 in our home until she passed away. I am a devout Christian. Now I am an empty nester with 17 grandchildren and life is still very busy! I have been Gold twice and (hope to reinstate soon) but I so often ask God if this is where he wants me. I am not always sure. Anyway, I hope to meet you one day!

Just happened upon this video this morning, and boy did I need to hear this. I have been worn out this week and feeling upset about it, not doing what I normally do. You, however, have reminded me to give myself grace. Let's pray for each other.

Wow. Ty for this I've had a rough time of it since 2015 and the last 3 yrs the worst w death of my mother, uncle, mother-in-law, father-in-law, neice, several friends...I'm surprised someday that I'm walking and talking bc I realized how depressed I am and I felt so guilty but like you I understand & realized it's OK to be a bit depressed 😔 been thru so much. I'm surrending to the Lord. Ty for this it made me realize ITS OK. Take the down time & selfcare. Im working my way back. Again thanks for the uplifting message ❤😘

What an awesome testimony Jamie. Will keep you and your family in my prayers. I'm going through a rough time right now and God is my strength, my rock, and I give my all to Him. I've just started card making within this past month. It's been a lot of fun. I have subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to following you.

Jamie, thank you so much for making this video. You are not alone. I will celebrate my 20th year as a SU! demonstrator in August. I was holding monthly. technique classes (5 sections), and Stamp-a-Stacks (2 sections) each month as well. After an illness that hit me after Thanksgiving and lasted for 6 weeks, I was sapped of my energy and enthusiasm for anything. Finally, in February, I was able to start holding the Stamp-a-Stacks again. I have decided that the technique classes will have to wait. We all hit roadblocks at times, and there is no shame in taking a break to re-enervate ourselves. It is so important to keep these messages going so that others who are struggling will give themselves time to think, weigh the pros & cons, and heal.

So glad you are back. I'm also a Stampin' Up demo and I think we sat at the same table during one of our last CentreStages! You are so right and I definitely feel your story will resonate with so many of us. The past two years have really thrown most of us for a loop regardless of what the details are. We've mostly all lost loved ones, been super ill ourselves, and changed jobs (or lost them), homes, etc. These are trying times for a lot of us and you being a Christian helps you immeasurably in my opinion. Lean on God and not your own understanding and for a fellow Type A person, this is tough. I lost my mobility (cannot walk!) in the last two years and you don't realize how much you need others when this is the case. However, it is this way for now for a reason and I must listen to God for my own welfare, just as you did. We all must, and we will all be blessed by doing so. Hang in there, glad you are settled once again and wish you nothing but the best in your reconnection with Stampin Up!

This is the first time I've seen you on you tube. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I too, have been going through a lot these past few months. Our son passed away in April, a couple of weeks after his funeral I had a preventative surgery on my left foot that went wrong and I ended up losing my toes and half of my foot. I am still in a rehabilitation facility, and getting better every day. I gave all my pain, anger and frustration to God. He continues to bless me daily. He has eased the pain of losing my son I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I look forward to watching your videos. I am a card maker and can't wait to go home and start making cards again. Hallelujah! Wow thanks for your transparency! As Christians if we're not careful....we are deceived by toxic notions that we are suppose to dance in the chaos...No!!! The safest and most restful place is in the will of God! Taking care of yourself..taking it slowww and submitting yourself and what you do unto the Lord--that is POWER! GOING thru the same! Found my peace! And girl! Yes! Get sleep! And I am more careful and strategic when I show up because God's will and ministry is priority! Celebrating you and what you shared!

Wow, Jamie!! Just met you for the first time, and already love you! I’ve been where you are surfacing from-I know exactly how it feels!! I, too, am an over achiever, have worked so much and so hard in times past, that I fell off the cliff before I even realized the cliff was there! Your passion, your words of faith, your loving attitude, your love of things beautiful and happy, all remind me of me😳👍!! I was a full-time Executive Assistant, and worked as an independent consultant for Home Interiors and Gifts for 25+ years, had several recruits to look after, which resulted in my doing in-home shows almost every evening, running wide open from 5:30 am till 12:00 midnight and after, for years, plus serving as a Sunday School Teacher, VBS Director for our church, PTA Secretary, Homeroom Mom Chair, and taking care of my 2 daughters, husband and family!! I absolutely worked myself into a shutdown! I think that’s why I watched your video with such interest and compassion!! You were spot on with all you relayed in your video! I’m now retired, since 2012, and truly enjoying life, grandchildren, family, crafting and all the things I love! Life is so much slower now…something that is sometimes difficult for me, as I ‘thrive’ on the excitement of “too much to do, in too little time😆🙌🏻…but I make it happen!!” Guess I’ll go to Glory still looking to get in one more thing before I go!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🥰😜I look forward to following you, learning from your crafting talents, and seeing all the great things God has in store for you. The one thing I can tell you from experience, especially, once a person has been where you and I have traveled, is that with age comes wisdom…and, God WILL get our attention, one way or another!! Jamie, you are amazing. I always feel that when life gives you lemons, God always has something better coming for you. Have faith, and you did. I also stumbled on this by accident while looking up ideas for one of my stamp sets. I will be following you. I am basically a hobby demonstrator but always keep going. What a beautiful testimony! I stumbled across this video by accident (new to Stampin’ Up as a customer). So glad I did! I live in Australia now but I grew up in Southern California and have lived in Indiana (I worked at IWU). This resonated with me so much. Thank you for sharing.

I stumble across your video this morning. Thank you on several levels. New demonstrator and checking orders that I thought I had ready to go but did click a couple of boxes. I've never seen your channel (new to card making) and wow your story touched me. No one talks about how exhausting death of a loved one can be, not to mention multiple kids, moving, and working! I see YOU over achiver! Praying for your continued healing and that your energy returns. Until then... REST!! My life went off track in 2014 and I'm just finding my footing again, (still tired). A big part of my "new" life involves paper crafting. Can't wait to watch all your videos and see what you do next in your crafting journey!
