In this week's video, I talk about why I left Saints Unscripted and answer your questions about what it was like being on the show! If you're not familiar with Saints Unscripted, they are a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormon) based talk show here on KZread. I had the incredible opportunity to be in the cast for almost three years and it was one of the best experiences ever.

I loved the episodes where you guys would dive deep into concepts of the gospel that weren't easily explained by people just talking or sharing their testimonies. I feel like I needed that at the time. Like explanations of a lot of the Pearl of Great Price type stuff. But now I feel more secure in those ideas, and I love just hearing how the gospel helps you!

There’s way too many to pick. I love them all. I rewatch a lot of the episodes, and never get tired of watching them. I love the show and I love you guys! I’m grateful that I can continue to stay in touch with you. Thank you for all you do!!

Not really buying that you left Saints Unscrupulous because you moved to Phoenix. I mean, we have Zoom now. You can upload videos to KZread (as you just did) under the auspices of Fair. I think what happened was that the Church and Scott Gordon realized that Kwaku and Company were having the opposite of the intended effect of stopping young members from leaving. So the Church fired you all.

Absolutely untrue haha. The two other cast members I started with (Justin & David) are still on the show. And yes, I guess we could have done Zoom episodes but they are much lower quality and is harder to have conversations virtually rather than in-person. I guess you can choose to believe me or not, but that’s what happened

It makes me sad to hear that you felt some insecurity about your place on Saints Unscripted. Out of all the hosts, your opinions and insight resonated with me the most. You had an important role there, especially since for awhile you were the only female cast member on the show. As an atheist trying to learn more about the church after my sister's conversion, I really needed a young female perspective on the church to help me better understand my sister's religion. I am glad to hear that you eventually realized the value you added to the show. :)

Scripted = having word-for-word dialogue to follow. We were definitely “unscripted” in each of our episodes 😊 We didn’t change it to “3 Christians” because we wanted to specifically brand ourselves as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints so people wanting to learn more could find our channel and receive answers (although that would have been funny!). Hope that helps!
