@@DA-yd2ny my bad, should've made note , it's a joke. I know who Mads is, been following him for around four years.
That was awesome. You got the win I think James this time! I was just praying for a soaking from that lorry...
My wife and watched all three and you are unquestionably the winner! We subscribe to and look forward to watching the three of you each week, but having the three of you together was a real treat.
I started doing photography long before stabilization in cameras or lenses. So, I've spent many years using tripods. So much so, that when I'm out and about it feels normal to have one on my shoulder or under my camera. On a couple of occasions I've forgotten my tripod and it just doesn't feel right to shoot landscapes without one. A good sturdy tripod is a joy to use.
I suppose the challenge was the time limit, but as for the photos that resulted... I prefer yours. For my taste, you chose the right direction to go. Your compositions skills are what I strive for. As an amateur with limited time to shoot, this challenge is basically my photography hobby, day to day.
Me practically screaming at my TV "stand on the bridge, just stand on it, it'll be perfect" thank you for standing in the bridge to get the shot man
Love your photos James. Those villages are so beautiful.
I love your videos for a special dose of sarcasm in it. Especially when it is obvious that you have just waked up and you are thrilled about upcoming adventure, taking photos, meeting people, but you are still dying inside because of being sleepy. I can relate to this so much, that it gives me sheer joy. Cheers mate!
Mads: Rainbow, Nigel: Windy Road, James: Waterfall/Hut. I totally would have photoshopped that sign off that door of the hut, what a horrible thing in such a pretty spot.

I can't believe anybody thought it was a good idea to put a sign in such a prominent place. While it wouldn't be impossible to remove via Photoshop, it won't be straightforward due to the natural wood pattern and the non-uniform colour/tone. That building has been there since 1668 and at least up until early 2000 (last time I visited) there was no ugly signage.
You, Mads and Nigel are my most favourite photographers on here! I love watching all three of your channels, seeing the differences you each bring to the same challenge has been really interesting. Brilliant idea! Thank you for sharing.
All 3 of you together - brilliant!

Loved the hut and the waterfall 🙂
Interesting! Mads..Best video; Nigel.. Best for education; James..Best pics. WE win. Thanks all.
"I don't know why he's running". Just classic stuff. More of this, please! I recently stumbled on all three of you independently so it was great to see you all together!
Loved the three videos and the interaction between you all. The picture of the house reflected in the large "puddle" was brilliant. Really fantastic idea.
He got so mad at the door being locked he took its picture! 🤣🤣🤣
As much as I love Nigel and Mads I'm going to give the win to James because of 3 photos: (1) the church scene with I loved, (2) the tunnel scene with was most unique and unexpected and (3) the waterfall photo. Those compositions match the types of things I love to photograph. Congrats to you James
Having watched the other two videos already, I think you've won this competition by the first photo.
I loved all the photos from this video so much! Love the pov style videos
Mad's had most fun video to watch 👍🏻 You had most interesting images.
Great video James. I think you’re the winner 🎉
So many incredible photos!
Not only is your photography great but your comedy in the videos just makes you so fun to watch too. Great videos all 3 of you. Love how you made them intertwine 👍
A fan of all 3 of you and you all have different styles of landscape photography. But I’ve got to say, I think you’ve won the challenge. Fantastic images!
I've watched all three videos and for me James photos looks best. Second place goes to Mads and last is Nigel. But I think all of them are world class photos and Photographers. Learned tons of you guys. Thank you all
Cheers James, it’s Sean in Atlanta! I am with you and I hate tripods as well! Almost everything I have learned about photography I have learned from people like you and I appreciate you for that! But also, I think you are Cray Cray! And you crack me up every time I see one of your videos! Sean
Destroy Tripods! 😂
Haven't seen Mad's photos, but so far... You win.
Watch all three of you gentlemen’s vlogs. You WIN!
I like how you went for the least expected approach heading for the village - a good lesson not to follow the crowd - Well done brilliant images
These three videos made my evening! They were such a joy and a laugh to watch. You guys mesh so well together. Thanks!
I just love it when you guys get together. ❤❤ Awesome images
Took lots of photos here in late July. Parked in the same spot, visited the waterfall (hut was unlocked), shot it from inside the hut and from the bridge, and lunched at the Badger Bar.
Wonderful images, James. I always love your use of buildings in your comps.
I have just switched to the new Ulanzi tripod and I absolutely love it.
that puddle was where I'd be hunting for my shot of the day
Just saw all three of your videos. All wonderfully entertaining and as usual informative. One thing that sticks out for me as a novice is how in one location there can be so many different styles of shot, very inspiring! .. and on a time challange - thanks!
You three together feels like christmas! Keep up the good work!
Your pictures are just too good
Absolutely gorgeous photos. I'm just getting into photography, but your vision at finding great shots is fantastic. I can't wait to get my first camera in a couple of days
Your video was a joy. Grand photos taken on the run and propelled by your special brand of humor. Outstanding!
Just a little trick with that tripod of yours. Don’t open the legs before you extend them.. Keep them together and release all the clams all the way down and then extend all 3 legs at the same time 😊
Might want to change the sign on the shed. "No admittance, except on party business!"
I really like the way the photos were edited.
James you had the best images this time round but great fun, please do more when possible as it shows how people see things differently
Love your POV videos. Thanks for another great one James!
I loved this challenge - I hope there are more coming. Your images - as usual - are amazing. I love your composition and your edits are always fabulous!
There are two times when I really love tripods. When they are all set up and good to go. And when they are all packed up in the bag again. Setting up and tearing down and lugging them around sucks..
Some great shots! I liked the tunnel shot! Fun challenge.
Love a good challenge. You got some lovely shots too, great stuff.
Loved all three videos and the images but if I had to choose I think you got it James!
Just watched all three of the videos. Brilliant to see thee different takes on the same location!
After watching Mads & Nigel’s videos, you definitely the winner! Love your shots!
Love the waterfall image
Love it when you guys get together, great shots too, thank you
So fun seeing the 3 video s ! Love them all !!!
I did happen to buy the tripod you showed us quite awhile ago. The small one that for me works well for focus stacking while crawling around the garden
Great video James. Love your way of shooting.
Beautiful photos
Thoroughly enjoyable, James! :-)
Brilliant, simply brilliant comedy from the 3 best photographers out there! IMHO you win James
I agree with you completely James. I understand when a tripod is necessary, but I too find them really cumbersome, especially because, as you are probably aware by now, I do all my photography from either my wheelchair or my mobility scooter. If I'm not doing a long exposure shot (it's very rare I do these anyway) I much prefer to use my monopod.
Was curious which shots you got from this trip. And you smashed it. Like that you went a totally other way than the other guys.
These have been some of my favorite images of yours! Well done, James. You are a truly wonderful photographer. I love your use of manmade huts/ cottages!
you do such an excellent job of putting the fun back into photography
Great video and photos James!
5:15 I feel you. a beautiful pier by a lake I'm near just had a sign posted in the ground right in the middle of the beautiful landscape that reads "so and so's park". I don't see why we need an intrusive sign to let us know the name of the park we know we are at.
watched all 3 videos, your photos are the best :) congrats with great results
Thank you!
I enjoyed your photos the most!
Great photos James , I think your photos win this challenge. Mads wins the video comedy award
Great job on the challenge.
Great shots aaand thank you for the video :)
Lovely spot you were in
Very fun, thank you! I just watched a review of the A7 RV with (supposedly) 8 stops of IBIS, that could help with your tripod woes ;-)
I really enjoyed these images! Thank you for doing this challenge. 😊
Great Challenge, looks like it was lots of fun. Love you guys, always beautiful photographs.
This has to be the perfect ‘I REALLY need the new a7 v darling’ video to justify the obvious purchase. The stabilisation on that thing is epic - I just watched a handheld, 1.6s low-light sharp image video on here!
you definitely won this one James!
I'm so jealous that you live in this beautiful area
Thanks to OIS, IBIS, and good ISO performance in modern cameras, I've not used a tripod for photography for years.
Oh my gosh I love you guys. Lol. Because of this challenge I have liked and subscribed to your channel. I've been watching Mads for several months now and really live his style. Now I found your channel and will watch more of your videos. I have owned my camera for about a year now and have had a lot of fun shooting photos. Wish you guys were closer to me as I live in the US....North Dakota to be exact. I don't see anybody as fun as you guys coming close to me for a workshop but I truly love your videos. Hugs.
Great fun! Love the waterfall and hut image! Well done!
I have watched all three videos and I have to say you smashed it James, your images were the best the waterfall and the hut especially.
You definitely need the Alpha ZV-E1 with the FE 14mm F1.8 GM strapped to your chest to replace the GoPro's horrible image quality, especially in low light. This setup would look AMAZING and only add 330 grams to the bag, increase quality and redundancy for video.
Thanks James, great video and don’t tell the others, but I really liked your compositions away from the lake !!
Liked your photos the best James.
I think you got the best shots by far!!!
James, you should have photographed the cars going through the deep water. It would have made a great shot!
James won this one for sure 🎉 great job mate
Nice one mate. I was at Rydal Water last week. Got some beautiful autumn colours with an image of a boat house on the water.
I often wondered where that building was with the waterfall, but all the pictures I have seen is with minus the door sign! I enjoyed your video it was fun I hope the other two guys learnt something from it! Thanks for sharing your time with us!
Thanks for the fun video trio. My humble opinion: Mads wins the lake with the rainbow shot, but comes in last place for the KZread video. I had to go searching for yours and Nigel’s video because I could not find a link from Mads’ video. Nigel’s KZread video was, by far, the best and most informative of the three. That said, I’d vote you the winner overall with your shots in the village.
Very well done James, having now watched all three videos hats off to your collection of images. I thought you captured the dreary Fall day the best. Your bracketing brought out a lot of color not seen in the raw images before processing. You did miss one shot though, instead of the long exposure of the building with the car blurring around the curve you could have done about a 6-minute long exposure of Nigel walking around the curve in his pumpkin colored jacket. It would take that long to get the blurred effect! Sorry Nigel, glad to see you out and about at whatever pace your bad back allows...lol
Great trio of vids.
Amazing how much mileage you get out of this topic. Also, I whole heartedly agree. Even back during my studio photo years shooting meticulous lighting setups, hate 'em.
the three of you are fun; I watched all the videos from this challenge and totally enjoyed them. Each photographer had stellar images, even with the flat light that existed for most of the shoot! For me there is no clear winner, but I do like some of your images just a bit better; maybe it's the fact that you went into the village. Thank you again for keeping it fun and witty, take care and be safe out there....
I found your channel because of this challenge. I definitely hit the subscribe after watching your version of it. All three perspectives were entertaining and informative, but your shots won the challenge in my opinion (don't tell the other guys).
great video James, loved the images, love your self deprecation (as always)!
I really enjoy the challenge videos. James, I think you smashed it this time around and had the best images. Your style of photography and inclusion of the man made elements worked better with the conditions :-)
