I have 525i and love it, ready to buy a 7 series though. I dont care whay nobody says, BMW is the only Car i'll buy as long as I'm able to.

I just bought my 2017 Gran Coupe and I had to replace 3 run flats in 3 months. So, I did what you said and moved away from run-flats. Now it is the sweetest ride ever. Thanks so much for your advice.

@@georgemedina3712 I'm assuming it is a BMW. If it is then all BMW's had runflats tires except for the M cars by 2014. Hope this helps. Any more questions do feel free to ask👍🏽😉

@@georgemedina3712 if you can't find where is says runflats then go to a air charging station release the air from your tires and if it goes completely flat to the rims then they're not runflats tires. If it stays upright then they are. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Cant buy the latest models ... greedy manager ruined the quality of the old days. Back in the days ingeneers did the decisions ... now idiots do it. If you want a BMW buy the old ones till mid of 2000s (E36, E46, E39, ...) Dont buy a 201x BMW out of warrenty! Saying this as a german. Sad times ... but its the truth.

@@letsrollout7307 I owned a 2009 1 Series (Daily) which I had a lot of problems with. And I still own a E46 330i which only need service, oil and thats it. It is true that there are more electronics nowadays ... but once I dont need a lane change assistent ... and second: We fly to the moon and cant handle some electronics? We should be able to handle this without these problems. I tell you some of these failures are planned. Like some plastic parts in cars or many other maschines (e.g. coffee maschines) would last very long if they would be made out of metal. But the point is: Then nobody makes money with the repairs. I keep the E46 (because its a car out of the golden era) but my next car will be a older volvo or a new toyota (cars that can handle 400.000 km without bigger problems). Thats just my opinion to this.

Even though i mention some of the small issues that ive faced with my gran coupe i still love that car. The transfercase change wasn't good but BMW changed it. The following electrical issues was because the tech didn't tighten the ground strap. That was it. I totally appreciate the comments. I make sure and reply to each and everyone. 💕💕💕 hope you've subscribed and join us. 👏👏👏👏

I have this car. Sometimes I get a rattle noise in the passenger seat. Also when I press on the brakes I get a knocking noise by the wheel. I'm taking it to the dealer to get it looked at. Other wise I love this car.

I'm pretty sure the difference you see in seat wear is because of the different leather types used on each car. Your 550i has Dakota leather which is very strong and durable with little maintenance required. Your Grand Coupe has Napa leather which is much thinner and less durable than the Dakota leather. The Napa leather is softer and more supple than the Dakota but it just doesn't hold up well after long time use.

Hi I’m 24, I just got one of these. A 2012 with few miles (27K)on it and I have a bumper to bumper warranty for the next 6 years. Your video helped me with my purchase this car is the epitome of luxury i have never before witnessed. No one tries to race me because they think it’s a luxury car, not knowing I have a 4.9 sec 0-60 worth of power, this I enjoy. I like to drive slow in this thing. My friends think I’m a millionaire. Hard to imagine it was only 30K!

LET'S ROLL OUT 35,000 actually after taxes and warranty. Simply incredible. This is my first BMW, I’ve always avoided them because everyone around me said they’re unreliable. I stumbled across the 650i by accident. I was browsing for either a 392 challenger, Mustang, or a 3rd gen Lexus F sport packaged car. I’ve always seen this car on the road, not often, but you see when it’s around it because it’s style and design demands attention. Long, beautifully sculpted and aggressive. From the side it looks like a shark or some type or agile predator and the head lights wrap around from the side to the front makes it look even more intimidating with how the fascia is designed. It reminds me of how Lexus does their third gen taillights on the IS. I had never got to be so close to one before, I fell in love. It checks every box for me. I adore this vehicle so much I am trading it half way into warranty for another in a later model. Simply incredible, I do not know why these dont liter the streets.

Hope the turbos and oil seals are covered in you're warranty....because when you see smoke or the exhaust getting really dark trust me you will hate it lol I stay away from BMW v8s

I had a BMW 525 Tds and I had run flat tyres on them I had the same problem with them the ride was far too hard. I had to have the original alloy wheels replaced also I couldn't find a non run flat tyre to fit the original wheels. When I fitted the car with non run flat tyres there was no problem. Love your show.

Yes! I ditched the run flats too for Michelin Pilot SS. Adds even more grip with X Drive and ride became much softer. Still a good idea to avoid bumps and holes on the road :)

I recently purchased my 650i a few months back, I'm can say I'm pleased with the car. Your videos was a back help with my purchase, this video and especially the one where you compared the cls550. I guess all 650's have that annoying noise when the blinds are down, mine does the samething. Only major issue I had so far was only consumption, warranty covered that. Another issue I had was the passenger window would go start to go up, and goes back down. Other than this the car is flawless

I had a 550 before my 650i coupe too! I wish I'd kept it. Almost all you said I've been through. I love my vehicle still, but the maintenance is serious. Idk if it's because I'm a woman driving it or just the car period but, people like to TRY to race me like an unspoken challenge. I don't take the bait though it's tempting sometimes. My husband was in the passenger seat & a guy pulled to rev his motor (I don't remember what car it was), but my husband commented nonchalantly "please fool, don't get your feeling hurt. My wife can smoke you".🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don’t get run flat tires, I had a bmw 550 a couple years ago and replaced 12 of them in 1&1/2 to 2 years $600 a tire ....after the 12th tire I traded in the car

I enjoyed this video and appreciate your analysis. I owned a 207 645ci convertible and LOVED the way it drove, handled and styling. Honestly, it was the best driving experience all around. Two kids and a wife later, the 650 gran coupe seems like a nice choice.

I love this video. I have a 650 and I’m dealing with some of the same issues like the rough ride because if the tires and the seats. But like you said when you hit that gas peddle I tend to forget about all of those little things. The car is a blast to drive. I will consider changing all of my tires.

You can choose any manufacturer tire. Once you have the right size you should be fine. 😁😁😁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾.

Just got a 650i GC. All reviews on internet put the Audi A7 well above this car. I have test driven the 650, A7, and CLS and don’t know how anyone could not rate the 650i as the lead car. It look absolutely stunning inside and out and performance is stellar. Maybe I’m just biased towards BMW.....

The 650i is king in my book for looks style and just share presents. But the ride is not good over pumpy roads. Bthe runflat tires kills this car. The power is really good too. I can tell you Kellington that even though i spoke of these issues , i still love love love this thing. The fact that nothing looks like it sounds like it captures poeple's attention like it. Make you want it more and more. I loved it so much that i went out and bought the M6 gran coupe as well. Now thats the pinacle of BMW's best. Check it out on the channel as well.

I've owned my 2016 650i Gran Coupe Xdrive that cost me over $107k for 3 years with 18k miles and have had to replace these crappy tires 4 times already. I didnt do enough research when I purchased this car. I didnt even test drive when I picked it up. If I had gone through all the motions I probably wouldn't have made this purchase. How do you have a $100k car without automatic trunk or remote start? Then your telling me you have to hit the ignition button twice to turn off the car and my moonroof doesn't open so I can enjoy the sky on a beautiful day? The only thing I do agree with you on is the 485hp engine. That engine and my 1200 watt sound system is what make this vehicle extremely special. But once this lease is done I'm going back to Audi where I should've never left...

I have to disagree with you 100% if this was the case BMW's reliability rating would not have been above other prestigious brands. 2018 they ranked above Audi mercedes but behind Lexus. This show was just to highlight some issues I've faced in my car. All of which were fixed. Was it enough to turn me from BMW. Hell now. I would buy this car again. If you did watch to the end you may have seen that. Thanks for sharing though 👍👍👍

Beautiful car. Love the seats and interior. I have a 02 745i and sometimes I see this vehicle and want it but I love my 745 as well and it still gets compliments. I thought about test driving one. BMWs always catch my eye.

@@letsrollout7307 I've had a 535 GT for circa 5 years, now @ 58.000 mls. Been wanting a 650i GC for a few months now as i want for something more sporty and to experience a V8. Dispite the issues you have had, would you still recommend it? My GT has been flawless once I sorted out the air suspension gremlins as couple years ago at a cost of £1600 Not bad, as that's all I've really paid for other than wear and tear. I'm Kind of hoping the 650 will lead down the same path of reliability. 👍

interesting video well done on that. i have the 640D version. i also sacked the run flats for michelin pilot sport 4s they totally transformed the driving comfort of the car. i also bought a spare front wheel and put it in the trunk as the front will also fit the rear as a get you home spare.

The 640 is a great car. With it's turbo charged engine. it's enough power to move you well. The turbo inline 6 pulls strong and the engine note i adequate. What's fantastic about the 6 cylinders is , it hold it value better than the V8 and fuel consumption is better as well. I would say go right ahead and buy it If it's from a BMW dealership with warranty. The 6 series is really really good. Its the sexiest from BMW in my opinion. 👍👍👍 when you do get it. Great video. I have GC 640d and it is an awesome vehicle. I must agree with the 20 inch run flat tyres. It is a nightmare to always be on the lookout to avoid potholes or road imperfections. Also once you ding the mag then just down hill. Will give consideration to non run flat tyres. Did that on my BMW 528 and was a major pleasure.

What is your preferred car. The 550 or 650. I got my first bmw a couple years ago only because it was a great deal at auction. I love it and now looking to get a newer model. I have the 545I with the sport package and m wheels. This car is 14 years old and I still get compliments on it regularly.

+Bill Richardson u. Hey bill thanks for the question. I like them both but for seperate reasons. The 550 M sport is an absolute drivers car. I love to toss it about and it takes it while asking for more. The gran coupe is jus a sexy sexy car. The profile is simply amazing. Its an attention grabber. The exceleration is just darn good. Pins u every time and this happens even when you're not pushing it. Hope this answers your question enough. Any more info you would like to have. Please feel free to ask. I do reply to all. have always wanted a BMW and the 650i is what I'm going to get. Love your production here it was informative and well produced. I have seen on social media that the valves go bad and there is some form of recall to address this. Has anyone else heard of ?

I have a cls550, I was considering switching to a 640i gran coup. What’s your opinion on the bmw 6 series ground clearance? It seems significantly lower than the cls550.

Hey B 😊. Thanks for the question. The 640i is a great choice it's 315HP is good enough and the sound is ample what better about the 640i is it's resale value. It holds it better than the 650i. You also get better fuel economy as well so if you're considering one. I would say go drive it and then decide if it's for you. 😉😉😉😉

I have a Msport 640 I grand coupe stage 2+. Love the car. Thank you for the info on the ground wire. I’ve been turning off my start. Stop function in order to avoid it.

I agree about the tires. I have a 2016 750ix M Sport and I switched the tires out for non-run-flats and it made a world of difference.

Thank you for sharing your review. I customized a 2013 650ix Grand Coupe and for the first 3.5 years, a total joy! I thought this car was a keeper. After being with BMW for 30 years, I was sadly disappointed. She begin to have many misfires, exhaust issues, and similar issues you just stated. While she is a pure beauty, many have said, let her go. I don’t want to. So, I have began my looking at the new 850. One final note, I wanted to keep her as a weekender, cause they have ceased with reproduction of this particular series: just as they did with the 8 some years back. I’m sure she will be back once engineers figure the errors made. But, just to let you know, I kept replacing my run flats, but she is only 56k and replaced O2 sensor, vent screen, tune up, replaced coils, and she is beginning to cost more than she is worth. I still get many compliments on her, but would appreciate feedback from you and your plans for yours, IF you still have it.

I've replaced my 650xi with the M6 Gran Coupe. I haven't had any of those engine issues like yours. My 650xi had 71,000k when I trade it in. I do hope your issues get serted out though 💪🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I also changed the run flats on my 06 330. Tremendous difference!

Bin Leo. I can't remember the brand but simply a good quality tire that's none runflat. I'm sure any brand with the required sustained speed rating for the gran coupe will do. That's what i looked for and I'm totally happy.
