Either you have a lemon or I have a unique car. I have had none of the issues on my 2015 640i. I'm at 80K and have just noticed a leaking valve cover gasket. Mine is completely stock so that may account for some of the issues I am not experiencing. I do plan on doing some preventive maintenance this coming year such as replacing the water pump, thermostat, tensioners and belt along with the oil filter housing gaskets. I will also walnut blast the intake valves.

You gonna be a superhero and give me your wheel set up specs? i love the stance bruh. always seeing your car in reels you make me want to get this 650xi gran coupe near me in dallas. black with red interior. if i get these wheels i most def will go apply to finance it and get approved. 25k 78k miles and i know a master german tech.

Probably the one problem I really hate about BMWs is the sunroof rubber boots that rip every 5000 miles 👎🏽 same problem with my e63 645 Bmw never made an upgrade for that cheap silicone material.

Have a 2015 F06 40i bought in Florida brought it down to NYC , awesome cars ,the only BMW that shares the same body as the M car the rest are 70% different from regular to M

Am looking at 2017 640i gran coupe. Only 40,000 miles, good price. But am concerned about costs if it breaks down. Warranties are super expensive. Are these cars a money pit?

Boss, your car is dope. I did have a question for you. My passenger seat is stuck in the same spot as well. I’m able to move it using protocols, but not the control module. I. Wondering perhaps if it’s a blown fuse. Which fuse did you replace to get the seat to work?

I dont remember the exact fuse, but if you disassemble the glove box there should be a diagram inside that tells you what each fuse is for. Hope this helps

We here in kuwait repairs very very cheep i make alot of repairs and they take just for hand work 400$ and parts i bring from fcp shop online

whenever buying a used high mileage bmw, the first thing you should do is take it to a bmw tech so you can get all the issues diagnosed and always set aside 2-3k on top of purchase price to account for maintenance that could be coming within the first year

@@marcusirobinson Luckily I had some money tucked away cause I ran into issues 3 months after owning it. When it needs something fixed or replaced I hate this damn car. Like how you can't just replace the battery and drive off, you have to have something to register it then you have to tell the computer there's a new battery. You can't jump the car from the battery you have to use the connections under the hood, towing you should use a flat bed and make sure you have the tow hook, and pray you dont hit a bump hard enough to make the power steering pulley hit the subframe causing the belt to shred and get sucked in the engine🥴. It's just little things that can turn into big things if you don't know what you're doing, my Infiniti m35 is damn near bullet proof but it's not a bmw. When everything's working it's my favorite car to drive

yo bro I have 2014 640i gc with 90k miles but I wanna go stage 1 you think it'll stay healthy? I already replaced charge pipe, spark plugs,ignition coils, valve cover, oil housing gasket, water pump, high pressure fuel pump...So technically it's really good condition and should last stock great but I want to get the extra push with stage 1 and minor burbles. what do you think

I paid £160 for stage 1 tune (mobile tuner comes straight to your house). Well worth it. Nothing wrong with it. You get a little extra performance - but also, i suspect my fuel economy has improved slightly cruising at 55mph.

I have the 2014 640i GC w/ m sport pkg and just got the P10E2 code ..took it to dealer and was quoted $2300 to replace the valvetronic servo motor and $4400 if they have to replace 4 injectors while doing the servo. Is it very hard to swap out the servo and do I really need it?

Im not sure about that but injectors are only 500$ for all 6 on FCP Euro. I would take your car to an independent german car specialist and they could probably get it done for 1/3 of BMWs price

how much did it end up costing? I’m thinking of getting one of these V8 options but the engine looks tight as hell. I can turn a wrench but that engine bay does not look fun to work on at all.

I believe it ran right around $2800-3000.. I had the valvetronic servo, and the eccentric shaft changed along with all the gaskets and they had to reprogram it. Didn't take it to a BMW dealer, I found a European car mechanic close by and they did a great job on it.

Bought my 640i with 86k miles and loved it but 3 months later it randomly didn’t let me shift into park. Took it to the bmw dealership and they say it something they have never seen and it’s the mechatron that failed. Smh probably going to trade it 😢

To me the 5 series looks like regular traffic where as the 6 looks like an exotic. Just my 2 cents lol

I had the 650 it was a nightmare after my warranty expired I got rid of it.

@@SRTvespucci707 recommend staying away from BMW I have nightmare stories for days with the car and service centers. If you really like the brand just lease it then you can beat on it and return it when your lease ends at that point it won’t be your problem anymore.

Lol I have a 2014 and the only thing that went out was the water pump. At 100,000 Still pulling like the day I bought it. I too run an mhd burble, deleted the resonator and installed vacuum activated mufflers and I love the sound now I'm looking for a cated DP bc California is full of cry babys and Ill probably go to jail just for telling you I want a DP 🤣🤣🤣
