I definitely can relate to this. I get more excited to work on Clone Wars related MOCs. I've built Hoth and a Tatooine Stormtrooper base, which were both fun, but I feel like I will run out of excitement for OT battles and structures after I have built them once or twice. For CW MOCs on the other hand, I feel like I can continue revisiting planets/locations with new ideas. Definitely helps that there is so much source material.

That's my worry with an imperial moc series I run out of gas halfway through it and then have to force myself to finish a moc I am not interested in. Btw saw your moc announcement, it's a great choice looks like me and you are gonna be running very similar projects soon🤫🤫🤫.

I share the same emotional attachments to the Clone Wars era and am always excited to see those built out in a physical form. But also as a Star Wars fan in general I enjoy seeing other MOCs, the creativity and effort that go into those just as much. I usually just see "Star Wars" and "Lego" then click on it instead of paying attention to the era, even the sequel based ones that I wasn't so into. It's Lego and creativity and Star Wars and I can appreciate it without having to watch those movies over again! I enjoy your channel, builds and tips, good luck growing you audience and subscribers!!

I think one thing that helps with clone wars Mocs is the clone wars had so many battles to go off as long as you had some vague idea of the planet aesthetic you had a starting point but imperial has a few big key battles (obviously there’s a lot more in books but that’s a smaller audience) and that’s it, so it’s hard to do larger Mocs unless you’re making one up, which is obviously fine but a lot of people want to make Mocs with some reference

There is so much reference material! And it's much more recognizable so I think it pulls in more casual viewers.

It's understandable why you focus on one over the other. My theory is that it's generational, and for yourself that means Clone wars and the age of the republic, which is awesome. I grew up with episodes 4-6 and that's where my heart resides, in more recent years I gave the clone wars a look and quickly fell in love with the stories. Build what fuels your passion and if the notion strikes you to build in the imperial era then by all means do that. ✌️❤️🌮's

@@coconutbricksstudiosthe only star wars movies I grew up (technically still growing up if you want to say) with were the sequels, and on behalf of my generations lego fans, trust me, there will still be clone wars, republic, imperial Mocs! Although i grew up on the sequel movies, I was also old enough to have watched the clone wars animated show as it released. (Loads of nostalgia for clone wars for me)

This also gets me thinking about the Brick Wiz’s venture into making an Imperial Endor moc and how he lost steam about a month or 2 into the build. You definitely want to do something you’re full invested in and passionate about seeing through👍🏻

As someone who kinda hates the prequels I would love to see a big moc from you from a different era but I’m glad you’re sticking to what you know and enjoy and I don’t want to discourage you from doing that

At first, I was a bit disappointed to see that you didn’t have any Original Trilogy MOCs on your channel, but this was such an a good explanation as to why you don’t. I totally understand you, and I admire all of your ambitious work. As much as I love the original movies, the Clone Wars does indeed have superior potential when it comes to MOC building. Great stuff man, keep it up!

I like this position. You’re being honest about your emotional bias and not making it into an attack on a different part of Star Wars. Another big LEGO Star Wars KZreadr who I won’t name, made an entire video about how he refused to watch the mandalorian after Bo-Katan made a cameo because he “didn’t care about the clone wars”

Got a question. Just got back into Lego Star Wars a few months ago and I’m wanting to start a KZread around it. That and to discuss characters/lore based around a fan fic I’ve been writing for a few years now. To sum it up though what would be some key points to a solid foundation for a Lego Star Wars/ lore channel

That's awesome I am always happy to see another Lego star wars channel join us, as for pointers I don't have much experience with lore type videos, but for a channel in general, find a schedule that allows you to upload consistently. Figure how to make your channel unique to you and offer something not many others are. Interact and get to know your viewers they will become your core audience and a good core audience is vital to a channel's long term success.

I love the imperial era Mocs but I think you should build more imperial mocs

What if you did an early era Imperial build where they still used republic equipment?

Ngl I would really like to see you explore more of the obscure clone wars battles, the battle of Kamino in the comics would be awesome

Its pretty interesting to see how what we watched growing up affects us now! I was born in 2008 and did watch a little bit of the clone wars around 2014 and 2015 because my older cousins loved it! I personally though have the same nostalgia you have for the clone wars for the force awakens and the last jedi (not episode 9) and for some reason I'm also very drawn the imperial/original trilogy era and just trying to build a clone wars/prequals moc drains my motivation. Keep up the great work coconut and cant wait to someday see you do an amazing imperial moc!

I used to have one but I am juggling too many things right now to manage it.

For these style videos I think no edits or minimal edits would make them better. You are opening up to us and some pauses would make the quality of video better. Maybe less cuts in other videos too!

The edits are me cutting out dead air, or mistakes, it would be a lot less enjoyable to watch the video if I left them in I mess up a lot sometimes.

hey @coconutbricksstudios you know custom clone army right? want to know how you make the 501st clone troopers awsome making them look accurate? it's mainly the helmet you have to do is look for a stylish 501st helmet and the legs as well of another main part add in just a normal leg of the 2014 phase 1 clone from attach of the clones and having sort of the best accurate figure, also. How to make a best clone wars clone trooper from the tv show phase 1 is like having the new torso and legs from the new lego clone trooper from the new battle pack of battle of genosios and getting the 2012 phase 1 clone trooper helmet, making it look like from the clone wars more accurate because the original clone wars clone trooper from 2012 didn't have leg printing or it didn't have like the belt side ammo's bigger. And did you know there is Custom battle droid arms for the B1 battle droids. if you wanted to make like a lego moc yourself from the clone wars TV show can it be like where the clones are attacking this palace on the mountains to rescue jaba's son in the clone wars movie with ashoka and anakin! I love it how captain rex & the clones where kicking clanker and grabbing their weapons to kill them. that's the part of my favorite scene of the movie also if you ever wanted to do a different moc like from the old republic you can have the new torso of the clone trooper, and poe dameron's Helmet from his new x-wing set for 4+ making a republic trooper. and having the shuttle pilot's helmet from the deathstar turret set with old ben kenobi in it and having crosshair's torso or death trooper's torso making it a sith trooper and where a first sith mission on the space ship to get their scientist back and where you fight this twi'lik jedi knight. i just love coming up with new ideas and trying up to give some good ideas to others including you coconut, i love your videos too. might make a stopmotion lego video of you of a funniest way too LOL I hope you have a nice day and i understand really wanting to do clone wars Battles really do! it's real fun to do!

Did you ever play Battlefront 2 (the original, not the EA one)? It would be super cool if you made a MOC of the destruction of Kamino where the newly formed Empire fought newly born clone trooper rebels made by the Kaminoans in an attempt to save themselves from the Empire'swrath. Not really canon anymore thanks to Bad Batch but it could be a fun, fresh idea and help blend in a little Imperial era MOC while still being a Clone Wars MOC.
