Interested to hear if you have had similar issues with a Forerunner, Fenix, Epix or other Garmin watch? This issue relates to a Garmin Forerunner 920XT which is an older watch now and has a number of reported similar strap issues during its life. At the time when it was a current model Garmin was reportedly honoring complaints by providing a replacement strap. There is no inference here that the current straps are the same, the design of Garmin's silicone bands is different now. But the experience showed me that there is no benefit to spending $50 on a watch band simply because it came from the OEM company. I have no complaints about Garmin's approach to customer service, they have frequently helped me out with any product issues across the range of products and sometimes long after the warranty period has expired. This issue is more about being able to trust the strap itself not to cause you to lose your watch I have found an ANCOOL strap for it which is available here: amzn.to/41qlU3G I cannot speak to its longevity yet as I have only just received it myself (December 2023) the design is similar to the Garmin one so might be worth just keeping an eye on reviews.

I got a military velcro strap for my epix pro. It's so much more comfortable and feels really secure.
