Lexi you are not the only student who struggled with switching to a online format. My daughter had the same problem. I am proud of you for speaking out about this situation. There are so many students who need in person learning to succeed.

I get it. I teach psychology. We all got sent home after spring break of 2020. I had to convert all my class material to online. As an instructor, I hated it. I hate that it ended for you that way but online learning is not for everybody. Online teaching was not for me. However, I’m glad you know your passion and that you’re manifesting it. Take care!

Lexi, thank you so much for raising some awareness about ADHD/neurodiversity in higher education and how the sudden switch to remote learning caused by the pandemic made academic life almost impossible for so many students. I am very sad to learn that this is what ultimately caused your absence from the team during the second semester. If you could talk more about this sometime, I think it would help a lot of students (as well as lecturers/professors) understand how important it is to recognise and validate the lived experience of ADHD and anxiety.

Definitely interested in your tumbling program. My daughter does comp rec. cheer but I have her in a tumbling program once a week to get her better. In most rec cheer, it’s up to the kids themselves to learn and train their tumbling skills outside of their program. I think as a “cheer dad” your new program may be more of a help to me so I can understand what she’s doing better.

So proud of you and so awesome to watch you bloom into yourself! Please keep us posted with your art and design! Also may be worth checking out some portfolio schools! A lot of them don’t require degrees (people come straight out of hs sometimes) and it’s literally two years of art/design/motion graphic boot camp which I think you’d love. By the end you have a website of all your work and can get paid doing freelance or work at an agency! I went to the Creative Circus and am now in LA doing motion graphics and video editing ✨ Keep being a Badass! Love you!

Hey Lexi! Very happy to hear that you're doing well. I completely understand where you were coming from in terms of the pandemic and going on lockdown screwed your grades and your mental health up; I experienced the same thing. My grades were so awful to the point I had to dropout of something I loved to do and mentally speaking i was really struggling as well. I don't think I have ADHD, but with having total 100% online asynchronous classes I did not have any sort of motivation to do the work I needed to maintain my good grades. I'm doing a lot better both mentally and in school now and I am taking the right steps to keep up this forward momentum. I hope that you can also; best of luck to you Lexi and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos from you!

I feel like the show made it seem like it was a bad path when you went to one but it's actually so much more! Lots of beautiful souls and artsy people there.

I stopped watching the second season of cheer mid way, bc I was peeping too much bs and starting to notice all the flaws with the team and the show. It was sad☹️but then to stop it off all of my favorites I mean all of them were either quitting, got dropped from the show or wtv I just know they were no longer on and that was the cherry on top for me, plus I didn’t care for Monica anymore(sorry to any Monica lovers out there) But I wish you well Lexi you were one of my favorites and I super route for you in everything you do, im glad you know your true calling❤️

When we did online for lockdown in the UK in 2021 I got so behind on school work. I was 10 lessons behind so was attending lessons and didn't even understand what was going on so I dropped a course because I could barely keep up with my main three courses that taking the fourth would have been pointless. My mental health had got so bad and I'm the sort of person who gets distracted by the slightest thing so online school just wasn't the vibe for me either.

Failure is just feedback on how to do differently next time. You can only change and adapt so fast while maintain a high level of accuracy. Especially without a strong leader and teacher there to follow and receive feedback from. Keep trying to achieve your best. PS I follow you from other reasons than cheer.
