I faced a lot of hardships joining a fellowship in USA after coming from residency in a govt hospital in Delhi. But it got better. The benefit of doing recognized fellowship for preferably 1-2 years in USA/canada and then joining AEP is that you get ACGME or equivalent training which is a prerequisite for a lot of US state licenses even after you are board certified.

I am not sure when Dr. Rajeev did his fellowship in Canada but today, getting a fellowship if not Canadian or US residency trained is not easy with the exception of some Middle East countries where the trainee is paid by their government and not by a Canadian hospital. Also, a trainee is required to go back home after completing the fellowship. The US is somewhat easier once you complete both step exams but again fellowships are reserved for mostly US trained doctors and to a lesser extend Canadians.

Occasionally, we encounter individuals who miss the bigger picture. Obtaining fellowships has never been easy, especially with the requirement to return to one's home country. This is why mentoring and guidance are crucial to ensure you receive the right support and direction www.IMGSecrets.com

Thanks so much. In order to get that pathway in USA.. you need a high score in the step 1 and 2? Or as the same as the residencies.. a person who fails the first attempts will find much teouble to match into a residency.. in this casa passing is the most important than the scores?

What pathway are you referring to? If alternate entry path, USMLE scores are not considered typically here as the candidates already have an outstanding CV www.IMGsecrets.com
