Thank you for reaching out. The TN program isn't tailored to a particular residency program; its main goal is to offer an alternative to the standard residency pathway. Thanks Dr Rajeev for this enlightening video! I am a OB GYN Resident in Brazil and I will finish my residency program next year. I am searching abou the alternative pathway in ABOG website and they say that one of the elegibility criteria is that: "The length of training must be at least four years" but here in Brazil our residency program lasts for 3 years. If I submit to a fellowship program in the US, the years of practice there can count for me to have this 4 years of training or they demand it to be exclusivelly from my residency program here in Brazil? About the USMLE certification, do I have to take step 3 as well? Thank you very much

Urology is renowned for being an incredibly competitive specialty, and as far as I'm aware, there is currently no formal alternate entry path. Nevertheless, there is still an option for you to explore: applying for clinical fellowships. Thanks. In my opinion, there are two options for you. 1. To get in a clinical fellow into a University/Hospital that offers ACGME accredited residency or fellowship in ObGyn and 2. Simultaneously you can also apply directly to alternate entry path program. Comparing both, my guess is you are more likely to be successful with option 1 than 2, but never hurts to try. Hello Doctor. I am currently a radiology resident in Türkiye. Radiology residency period in türkiye is 5 years and I completed my first year. What would you recommend to someone in my position who wants to work in the USA as a radiologist? Is it more logical to become a specialist in my country or try to match a residency program before I finish my residency in my country? When I was a medical student, I did my infectious diseases internship in the USA at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and I have 1st name 1 SCI article. I don’t know if it will help me or increase my chance to match with a radiology program. I’ve just wanted to mention it. Thank you so mıch. I’ll glad if you answer.

Thank you.. Also you mentioned that a clinical fellowship in Canada can also pave way to move to the US.. In that case would a USMLE still be needed for ECFMG certification?

Given the limited information you've provided, it's challenging to provide specific guidance. In general, we recommend that IMGs pursue ECFMG certification unless they are at a stage where a waiver may be granted in their favor.@@mariakaleem1277
