What about Rosetta 2 with Ableton Pro, have you noticed any issue in general with it or with any plugins in Ableton like iZotope Ozone, and other plugins, etc, or has it been a flawless experience?

honestly been a flawless experience so far, i've only used Serum and Ableton and haven't finished downloading the rest of the plugins, but the performance is on top

I haven't tested it out, but i can make a video about it, download it and give my honest opinion! I find FL to be a daw better made for desktops, it's never really felt laptop friendly. Also on mac at first it wasn't working fantastically but after a few update it works just as good as in windows.

Which storage variant you got? Is it 1 tb or 512? Is 512 enough for music and video editing? Also does it compete with your desktop in terms of video render time?

I got the 1tb version cause i shoot a lot of 4k footage at high bit rate so i needed the extra space, i also use an external ssd and hdd for storing once im done editing Render times are super fasts on simple timelines (this video rendered in less than a minute) but for more intensive renders the desktop does it faster, things like after effects, blender and such work better on the desktop where davinci/premiere is better for the mac. It also helps that the mac has a way faster ssd compared to what my desktop currently has installed which is a BIG factor in render times

i actually did get the m3 pro, for the price and difference from the base m3, the pro version is a way better deal for the kind of work i do. the m3 pro comes standard with 18gb of ram, all i did was upgrade the ssd to 1tb for the extra storage.

@@SoundKillerOfficial That's the exact configuration I'm debating getting. It's a $400 price difference here in Canada between M3 w/ 16GB 1TB and the M3 Pro 1TB, which is a bit substantial. May I ask why you found it worth it, and what work you do?

it was worth it 100% the base m3 is good for more daily tasks like web browsing, excel and such, but the m3 pro is more for heavier tasks like video editing, music production and more intense things like that, i use the mac mostly to video edit on the go, my work relies on quick editing as i work in the social media group of a basketball team, so being able to have renders done quick and edit super fast was a #1 priority which this mac does super good

i had an older 2014 macbook pro, an i5 128gb which i used for college, it was so good until the last 3 years where it wasn't useful for much anymore 😅
