Why I Chose the Bells of Steel Open Trap Bar
My other Black Friday purchase, the Bells of Steel Open Trap Bar / Hex Bar 3.0 . At the time of this video, it was my best choice considering price, portability, and personal needs. Those who need longer sleeves have other options as well, there are many choices out there now. Hope this helps!

I honestly wouldn't need to load up a crazy amount of weight on this anyways because I'd use an open trap bar primarily for unilateral (single legged) exercises. I already have 2 regular trap bars anyway.
Do you know how many regular 45 cast iron plates can fit on there
I have this bar and mostly love it. Only downside for me is that it looks lopsided when standing on the jacks. Bone dude is definitely lower to the ground than the other. Also, the diameter of the grips is a bit small. Would have liked a bit more aggressive knurling. Otherwise, it does the job and am happy. I am curious if others have noticed the lopsided issue.
Do you know the mm thickness of the frame and handles ?
Oddly enough considering I buy everything else the open trap bar missed me as a target market somehow.
How much did you pay for your bench?

I bought it from craigslist several years ago. Less than $200 cash. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact amount

Just bought bells of steel 3.0 open bar for $299. I bought it cause it has the jack to load plates. I don't know the advantages or disadvantages of open vs close trap bar?

@@futbol1972 the biggest advantage is that with the open one you can do a lot more exercises without hitting your legs.
