@@matthewwaldrup149 hardly all the types of caymans in the uk added about 10000 in total. Out of 68 million cars. Its not a fiesta or golf or bmw 1 series 😂

Never crossed my mind to test drive a 2.7 Cayman 981 bought the 3.4S just for everything it has. Looks, performance, handling and the flat 6 engine. Trust me in 20 years time the 981 will be worth more than the 718. Took it on the Snetterton Novice track day with my son and when he drove it. Nothing went past him. It streets ahead better to drive than the 964 Carrera I sold to fund it. PDK is a dream to use in town or on the track.

Once you try one of these you quickly realize that no BMW, Audi, Mercedes or Golf R can compete from a driving engagement point of view, these are built from the ground up as a sports car and provide one of the most thrilling driving experiences you can get for the money. I’ve had a 2011 987.2 Boxster S Black Edition for a year and a half now which features the slightly uprated 320hp 3.4 engine that when into the 987 Spyder. It’s bloody quick, gearbox is insane, steering is so precise and direct and the handling is unreal - I’ve had motorbikes come up to me commenting that they couldn’t keep up round corners. I would only trade up to a 997.2 Carrera GTS or a 981 Boxster GTS, once you go Porsche there’s no way out!

Something for everyone, if you like cruising / grand touring - 911 Targa/ Carrera, brute speed - 911 Turbo, track - Cayman GT4, 911 GT3, fun sports car - Cayman and Boxster, family car - Taycan, Macan, Cayenne etc All lauded as best in their respective class The only time people move away in my experience is to ‘try something different’ but it’s usually not an upgrade 😅 I’d still like to try an F Type even if it’s worse in some ways

Nice car mate! I’ve grown up in a 981 boxster and then a 718 and can say the sound on the 981 is unmatched. You’ll have plenty of fun. Subscribed 👍🏼

Nice mate! Thanks for the thumbs up. Can't wait to see your car with modified exhaust. The 981S/GTS is as close you can get to the gt3 sound for a quarter of the price, heck they even get more compliment than gt3s for their throaty high pitch tone. If i have to do my set up again, i would go with brilliant exhaust with fabspeed race headers. That's as close as you can get to the Porsche 911 rsr gte 2017 mid engine racecar👌

Of course can’t argue the difference of 0.7S between 3.4 & 2.7 However, as the base model has to work harder, you get to enjoy the engine noise far more often and without losing your license. I won’t be obscuring my speed whilst enjoying the symphony 😂

Can't wait for when you put an exhaust on it, that clip sounded so good 🔥

It was between a Mk5 Supra or a 981 S. Test drove both and and baought the Cayman.

How much is a full service?

I have a 13 cayman s, 32k with chrono pack 66k miles, I have a fabspeed race exhaust, the drone is quite bad though, what exhaust and parts is in that clip, I want a valved exhaust :)

Best car for 25k if you get one around a 13 reg. Cheap way to be a Porsche owner if you have Ford money if you ask me so it has to be a win. These wouldnt be on my radar at 35k though. Thats AMG/ M car territory.

25k for a high mileage poor spec. If you want chrono pack and decent speck you need at least 30k I still think for 35 these are a good deal and also hold there money very well.

Could’ve got a BMW I8 roadster or even the base not as fast but damnnnnnn the curves, also lotus Evora but Porsche still a great car 150%. At £30,000 you can even get Into a 8 series and A7/RS7

That is a very good choice and one I didn't even realise was in budget. Still would've chosen the Porsche over that but I definitely understand the appeal!

No I would never get a golf r and a bmw m2 over a Porsche there way to many content for the golf r and bmw u done very well to get one of these and then I would of got amg a35/45s not many on them as well

Tried something new for the thumbnail. That is my car just photoshopped to make it blue. Brighter colours usually help make the video stand out!

You need FVD headers and FVD tune. Look it up. Enjoy.

An R35 for £35k would have been my choice and quicker than all mentioned choices...

Personal question, im still just buying my first car, but how does everyone buy such nice cars, i see car guys that work jobs that aren't the best paying, and end up with expensive cars like this 😭

I looked at the m2 comp and f type v8 and ended up with a cayman 981 s too. Enjoy.
