I know there’d be a point in someone’s life when we’d think that this type of hobbies are “pointless”, but you can’t, for a very long time, dislike something you’ve loved. I’ve liked stationery since I was a kid, as influenced by my mom. When I was in high school, I remember saving some of my allowances just to buy stickers (I still have some of those stuffs from a decade ago with me). But there came a point in my life that I had lost interest; I’ve just been rekindling my passion for journalling as of late. So I’m really thankful of vloggers like you Ara for inspiring us to just do what we love 🥺 I’m truly grateful I’ve found your channel 🥰

I can relate so much to this! 😢 I used to have an obsession with stickers, pens, pencils, notebooks and anything cute! 💖But I lost that passion a long time ago (because of depression) and only just last year I started reconnecting to that inner child in me that loved collecting cute stationary things 💖💘💌💕 I'm so happy I found that little girl again! 🥰

Ara: you are the one who introduced me to Washi tape! Like you, I have quite the collection at present. It seems my favorite source is The Washi Tape Store, but I do order from others as well. In terms of "other" interests - Wow. I have a few. I LOVE furniture, high quality, handmade wood furniture. Very expensive. What I have in my home is very carefully curated. I'm absolutely crazy about sets of dishes and have many sets ranging from French country to the finest English bone china - serving plates and place settings. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE paper - or stationery, if you will. Again, because of you, I've come to learn about "junk journaling" and the production of one's own journals with elegant papers, thematically designed. Also like you, at one time I had quite an interest in make-up, but unfortunately, I discovered that as one ages, make-up that once enhanced one's features now becomes an unattractive accretion on the face. I'm in the process of trying to learn one form of calligraphy - but I have not one artistic bone in my body, so I doubt I will ever achieve that glorious level of grace and elegance found among those who are proficient. Our interests outside of the choice of profession (nursing for me) is what we do when not engaged in professional pursuits. And it is a diversion from the stresses of life and an important distraction from the ugly and profane - increasingly common in this naughty planet. And let us not forget the spiritual. Without the LORD God, the Almighty, I would never be able to endure what I see happening in the world today. I really liked what you said about fandom and the passion of collecting. I'm the same way: I've collected stickers, card calendars, stationery, lego figures, The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars stuff, CDs, DVDs, magazines and books. I still collect books, although only in electronic form, because our apartment is small. :) But lately, I've been addicted to stationery again, because I've started writing a bullet journal. It is completely true that we always are fans of something, even when we are kids, and that sometimes we keep that fanatism with us as we grow up. As a child, I've always been fond of reading (Percy Jackson for example) and those books always left me a great impression and lessons that I keep with me now in the present. In adolescence and now early years of adulthood I am a music fan, buying some albums from bands that I like but I can clearly say that I'm a fan (or a carat) of the group Seventeen, I buy their albums when I can but not just for the sake of having a collection but because their music has a great message and there are songs that let me say "woah, they described what I'm going through now". With only seeing my shelf you can pinpoint all the things that I love but it also shows my growth. From which soloists or groups or bands you have CD albums? Awwwwww 언니, 우리는 똑같대. I also the fan type. I like many things and also curious with many things. Also like you said, there's 'season' of collecting too. I remember i like cute things since i was child. I like to collect sticker and stationery things since i was child, eventhough i don't use it at that time, so i just keep it (but now i started to use it). I also like comic since chils, i collect many comic with my sister, i remember once time when we count them, it more than 1000. But now i didn't collect it anymore since the price is really expensive. I better spend it for stationery. Also there's time i collect make up too. I like to collect lip products too at that time eventhough i just have 1 lips. Even i sometimes use 3 product the same time (water lip tint, after it dried then lip balm, then velvet lip tint) ㅎㅎㅎ I remember the first a bit expensive lip product that i bought by myself is from Korean Brand (Chatteau Labiotte, because at that time it being famous after EXO's song called "Lotto". And its in a Baekhyun's lyric part (My Bias XD) , i remember it clearly here's the lyric "Lipstick chatteau wine 빛 color". And yeah i also collect KPOP album, but now it's already not. I collect EXO, Wannaone, Seventeen and Monsta X. Did i ever mention that i like kpop since 2007? I remember it clearly, from the moment i watch Super Junior MV called "Don't Don". That's the start! What singer or idol or celebrity that you like 언니? If you ever be a fan of kpop group, maybe we're in same fandom ㅎㅎㅎ. I like many 2nd generations of Idol actually, eventhough 조는 95년 생인데도. ㅎㅎㅎ

I became a fan of stationery back in 2019 when I discovered I can get kawaii stationery online for a better price than in store in the US here. I am willing to wait for shipping and the time. I too am a connoisseur, and a small business owner. I love being able to go into my crafting room and spend hours in there just art journaling. Its a huge stress release for me on my down time from work and my business. I used to collect a lot of things in my early 20's as well, make-up was one of them too haha! Stopped that though once I got a different job, didn't have time for it, and it was expensive shopping at Ulta and Sephora. So, I got into stationery. I wanted to take the love I have for all things kawaii aesthetic and throw it onto my journal. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video, new sub too!

I really enjoyed seeing all the things you collected. It made me reconsider my collections ( I am a fan of multiple things). I have started collectiong papers, stickers and Washi-tapes after watching your videos as they brought me to writing a (almost) daily journal which has made my life easier. I also collect Manga and Books and certain video games and penguin Plushies. ^^ XD I think I need to slim down on some of the stuff I own though, I am running out of room in my small apartment and I don't really enjoy it feeling to cluttered. This video was very nice and calming, thank you for sharing.
